《A Sword Master's Travels (1)》Chapter 6 - Exit

I had only been gone for one minute, but that was more than enough time for disaster to strike. In this new life that was given to me, I had been relatively care free. Although I had experienced the cruelty of slavery, I had walked away with vague promises to end it. Another display of cruelty was shown in front of me at its finest, humans killing an innocent little girl because they were "monsters".
The cruelty of reality is no new thing to me, I had seen enough of it in my old world. I had thought it would be better here. Evidently I was wrong. Things will always be the same, the powerful taking from the weak.
Anger flared up inside of me at the monsters in front of me. However, this was no normal anger. The chaos element that had integrated with my soul from the dragon flared up when it had lied dormant before. The anger inside of me distorted and flared into something far higher than a berserker's rage.
My soul unlocked new potential that had laid dormant before, the power that I had thought was powerful before rocketed up to new heights as the rage overtook me. A sharpness like no other emanated from my Sword Soul, the energy was excited as it woke up for the first time since its birth.
I needed to... ANNIHILATE. My soul sword coalesced into being in my hand, the colors so bright it looked like a blade of rainbow light. The bright lights attracted the attention of the bandits.
"What the fuck is that?" "It's so bright!"
I could see their very souls inside of them. My rage exploded forth and as I flickered foward a sonic boom crushed the air. They couldn't see as my blade sliced their souls in half and dissipated them. They had the truest of deaths, their souls shattered into nothingness and their right to reincarnation was dashed away.
Memories came through of Elina and her liveliness to my stories, the cute way she jiggled in place. She had not had a fair life. Greery was a caring father that had a tragic story to tell, the prejudice of the Dreery Empire had killed his wife. I know that they're probably only some of the few that had suffered such unfairness due to bigotry and prejudice.

The world is cruel and the strong dominate the weak. Rage burned within me at this idiocy, I thought I left all of that behind when I came to this new world. Its the same everywhere.
The abnormal anger filled my being and my soul became excited with it. I disintegrated all of the bodies in range, including that of Elina and Greery. They would be forgotten along with the bandits that had murdered them. Even more fuel to my rage.
I thought of the next motherfuckers, the Dreery Empire. It would be better if they just disappeared.
Another sonic boom accompanied my rush to the Dreery Empire. The imperial capital was exactly north of the royal capital in the Blooey Kingdom. How convenient...
A great walled citadel came before my eyes, the fortress extended for miles in every direction. It was quite a monument to their glory and power.
The walls disintegrated as I approached, countless blades filled the air around me as my excited soul unleashed the full torrent of its power. Countless screams filled the air as I made my way to the towering palace laying above the sprawling metropolis. All were cut apart as I approached, women, men, children. My rage completely controlled me now, the pinnacle of being berserk.
JUDGEMENT.
I'm sure the Imperial family was dead by now, the mansion had completely disappeared along with the hill it was standing on. The countless blades from my soul cut everything into dust.
But this was not enough and my raged flared to even greater heights. It'd better if this all... just disappeared. Those were my last conscious thoughts.
My berserk soul energy thrashed about like a river before reaching a dam that attempted to hold it back.
*CRACK*
The dam cracked and broke as the river poured through in an avalanche. Reality itself rippled and ripped as darkness incarnate spread out in a circle from my body in the palace. The circle expanded and covered the metropolis and surrounding wilderness before suddenly contracting and disappearing.
A vast crater appeared in place of the once sprawling metropolis. This would pass down in history as the Disappearence. Without a supporting hierarchy and imperial family, the Dreery Empire collapsed. Seizing the chance, the Blooey Kingdom rapidly assimilated the chaotic lands and became the number one power. A better future was certain.
In the Void...

A stone covered stiff body flew through space, surrounded by curious brightly glowing globes. The globes were of all different colors and varied in size. The smallest one was the twice the size of an elephant, the biggest the size of a star. Giant beings lurked and roamed in the blackness.
Fang drifted for an indeterminable amount of time before one of the gargantuan beings noticed him. It propelled itself foward towards him to reveal the shape of a colossal dragon, big enough to fit a city on its back. The dragon flitted around Fang before accidently swatting him with a curious poke. His body flew into a larger blue sphere of light.
...
-Kingdom of Kaos-
Joy and celebration filled the Novis, the capital of the Kaos Kingdom. Today was the day of marriage for the crown prince and a relatively powerful princess of a neighboring kingdom. This binding of families would bless the country with prosperity.
The wedding was taking place in the grand palace and everyone was invited. Hundreds of red plate armored royal guard ensured the wedding would go smoothly in a grand hall filled with chandeliers, windows let in the sunlight.
A handsome man stood up the steps where the ceremony would take place, his features exuded the features of a hero and his bulky build complimented it. A colorful vest with golden lacings and fanciful pants made up his wedding attire. The clamoring crowd went silent as the bride walked in. She seemed like a descended goddess, wearing a royal blue dress fit for an empress.
The ceremony went according to plan, vows of marriage were exchanged and promises that they would never betray each other in their lifetimes. They gave each other a kiss to end the ceremony, and a stone man rocketed through the roof and crushed the poor priest governing the wedding.
*CRASH* *SPLAT*
Fang had unknowingly been transformed during the awakening of his soul. His appearance changed from that of a normal man to something greater, it could be described as sharp. He was strongly built with a toned figure, his face looked sharper than an eagle's and his eyes were closed.
A few women actually blushed as they observed his features before everyone freaked the hell out at the sudden appearance of the statue. The princess had fainted after being splashed with the smashed priest's blood...
Various methods were tried on the mysterious sculpture to get a reaction. They found that even the mightiest warrior's blow could not make even the slightest mark on the statue. They poured molten stone on it in an attempt to melt it, submerged it into water, but nothing worked.
They eventually left the statue alone. He would become another wonder in the world, the mysterious "Stone Man".
A hundred years passed...
The Stone Man eventually became to be seen as a symbol of good luck and was placed to the side of the royal thrones.
Another hundred years passed...
A new queen had come to power. Queen Ragnereen V had ascended to the throne at the age of twenty-two after the tragic deaths of her parents who had been traveling. She was a beautiful woman with slender features and a full bosom. When bored, she would stare at the sharp features of the Stone Man.
"He's so handsome... if only he would take me away from this boring place..." Ragnareen fantasized.
That fantasy turned into love, then obsession. She would often caress the statue in full view of her guards...
My entire body felt so comfortable here in the darkness. The memories of what happened when I fell to rage played over and over in mind, all of the innocent lives I had taken made themselves painfully clear. I berated myself for their deaths until I was exhausted. This would never happen again.
My soul had pushed me into a forced hibernation after exhausting its power in the annihilation I had caused. A stone covering came over me to help protect me. I had passed through the Void to a globe of light, which I presume is a world. Another world, huh. This discovery of worlds in the Void would amaze even the greatest of researchers. I couldn't even be surprised anymore.
*CRACK*
The stone layer covering me shattered into dust and I opened my eyes, they had turned piercing gray in slits exactly like a dragon's eyes. A weight hit me as I was freed from my bindings, it felt oddly warm and soft.
"MY LOVE! I KNEW YOU WOULD COME AND TAKE ME AWAY ONE DAY!" A feminine voice said.
I take it back, this is quite a surprise.
"What the fuck?" I say in a thoroughly confused manner.

The War Wolves
If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. Interesting as well, if you ignore the very probable possibility of a swift, sticky end at the hands of pointy things. When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?
