Delton passed through the wreckage of the village entrance in his ephemeral form. He saw several bodies lying on the ground in the middle of the training ground. Looking around to see the familiar, yet frightened, faces of the dead villagers on the ground, Delton gripped his fists tightly as he hurried past.

Moving a couple of yards, he saw the middle-aged morning training leader wield a spear with his remaining hand, as he defended against a group of five draconian soldiers. The training leader already had several claw wounds on his body. He then pierced out with the spear, but the leading draconian laughed loudly and swung disarm to deflect the spear, breaking it apart into splinters.

“Nooo!” Delton screamed out and placed himself in between the two, forming his corporeal body. He unleashed the strongest punch he could ever muster, as his muscles on his arm bulged out to grotesque proportions. However, what met him was a heavy thud, forcing him to scream out in pain and look at his now mangled and broken hand.

He was then pushed into the trainer by the draconian’s claw, forcing him to take ephemeral form to escape getting squished. The draconian, then pierced through the trainer’s chest with his claw. The trainer breathed his last, as the body was tossed to the ground.

“Fuck! Uncle!” Delton started to cry. He again tried to punch the draconian, but was only met with another destroyed hand. He quickly wiped off the tears, and started to float on. He yelled out, “No no no! Father! Mother! Brother! These monsters!” Delton hurried to Lucius’ house.

He had to ignore the several battles going on. He saw several hunters fight several draconians. Most of the humans are on the losing side. Fortissimus himself was battling against two blue draconians and was also at a disadvantage. Delton also had to ignore the the several familiar hunters and villagers who had died.

He arrived to the ruined entrance of Lucius’ house and entered it. There were three draconians fighting Lucius’ father. Marcus was at a corner, with Lucius and his mother behind him. The older Lucius was watching on with a solemn face. The draconians laughed at the struggling father, as they merely slugged him between each other.

Hearing a horn sound out, the draconians’ smiles turned serious as one of them slashed down severing one of father’s arms and legs in one fell swoop. Blood sprayed, causing the rest of the family to scream out.

Lucius’ father fell to the ground with a scream and a thud, blood continued to pulse out. The draconians laughed and started to poke at Lucius' father's body. Seeing this and rushing out, Marcus jumped on and wrapped his arms around one of the draconians. Because of the momentum, he tumbled forward, causing the draconian and him to fall into the ground.

He screamed, while letting out several punches to the draconian’s eyes, puncturing and ruining them.

Roaring, the draconian tried to push Marcus off. However, Marcus then landed several blows to the draconian's chest, leaving several dents.

The other draconians surrounded him, Marcus rolled away from the draconian he was on to avoid their claws. He sweeped the leg of another, causing one to trip over. "Damn strong kid!"

The third draconian swiped at him, but Marcus deflected it, by ducking and punching the arm, causing the draconian to lose balance from the added momentum. He then pounced on the back of the draconian, smashing his fists into the draconian's forehead multiple times, causing the scales to break.

"Go brother!" The child Lucius yelled out!

Before he could make attack any more, the draconian jumped and landed on his back with enough force to shake the whole house, causing Marcus to cough up blood as the sounds of bones breaking could be heard.

Weakened, Marcus laid on the ground, as the two less injured draconians each grabbed one of his arms. Unable to move, Marcus was raised off the ground. Speaking in the draconian language, the now bling draconian spat out several words. The older Lucius then said in a monotonous voice, “Damn brat. I’m going to stew your family for this. Rip him apart, brothers.”

Nerves bulging from his arms, Marcus resisted the strength of the draconians. Delton, already bawling, looked around the room. Seeing the child Lucius crying and screaming, he possessed the child.

Trying to force the body to move with his soul, he was not able to perform any actions. The older Lucius simply spoke, “The past has already been set.”

“No! No! No! He has to live! He’s my brother!” Delton shouted out with his mind.

In less than a minute, having exhausted all of his strength, Marcus started to relax his arms. In the next second, the draconians ripped him apart in half.

“Fuck!” Delton tried to avert his gaze, but since the child Lucius was staring at the bloody and morbid scene in front of him. Thoughts surfaced in his mind from the child Lucius, ‘Kill. Kill. Kill. Revenge!’ This surprised Delton, since this is the first time he’s receiving these thoughts.

“Marcus! My son! You monsters!” Lucius’ father screamed as he bled on the floor. Forcing himself to turn over, he crawled to his dead son’s body and cried as tears and mucus mixed with the blood on the floor.

Lucius’ mother had passed at the sight, making the child Lucius take a stand and raised his fists in the soldier’s exercise stance at the draconians. Hearing their screams, the blind draconian sat up and simply laughed and spoke. Lucius again translated, “Brothers. Please help me.”

One of the other two, spoke up, with Lucius translating, “Ha. To be humiliated by a child. You’re not worth saving, *brother*.” Then that draconian stomped down on the blind draconian’s chest, killing him.

Hearing another horn call out, the remaining two nodded at each other, as one of them set fire to the wooden items and furs inside of the house.

The two draconians then left the room, which was starting to fill with smoke, destroying the entrance further, not allowing Lucius and his family to escape.

The smoke caused the child Lucius to start coughing and his father who was taking in deep breaths from his pain and cries had taken in too much of the smoke and had fainted.

Lucius used his strength to punch at the wall of the house. Since it was mainly made of mud and stone, Lucius had to dig his way out, at the cost of destroying his fingernails and hands.

However, to Delton, the pain on his fingers was like a drop in an ocean, compared to the burning pain his heart. He continued to bawl and curse at the draconians.

Digging a hole through, Lucius then dragged his mother and father out, leaving behind Marcus’ body. Having escaped the house, Lucius quietly moved his parents and the burning house. Looking around, there were no draconians in sight, only the bodies of several villagers and multiple houses.

Feeling his strength leave him, the child Lucius passed out. Delton, then escaped his mind and look towards the older Lucius. “Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Can’t you do anything! These are your memories! Can’t you change them to however you want!”

However, the older Lucius did not respond, while tears were streaming down his eyes.

The horn called out again, Delton wiped the tears off his face and flashed an ugly scowl.

Lucius, after looking at his burning childhood home one more time, then floated to the source of the sound, forcing Delton to follow after him.

They came upon the ground in front of the town hall, which was demolished. A hundred draconians were in formation as they looked towards a heavily injured blue draconian in front of them. The blue draconian was carrying a beaten and battered Fortissimus, who was staring at the draconians with red eyes.

Suddenly a resounding shout literally shook the village, causing the ground to quake and crack, “You want to die!?”

A speeding object crashed into the blue draconian, drilling a hole right through his torso straight to the ground. The ground erupted as dust and rubble exploded outwards. Several of the draconians screamed out, as a body appeared from the dust carrying Fortissimus. It was Caelus.

Lucius crazily grinned and spoke, “Oy, kid! Do you want as close to a revenge as you can get?”

With bloodshot eyes, Delton grinned as widely as possible, “That’s the only thing in both of our minds.”

“This is the first time you’re correct.” With a wave of his hand, Lucius forced Delton into Caelus’ mind.

All Delton saw in his view were draconians that are about to be eliminated. Caelus quickly placed herbs on his father’s wounds. After that, he catapulted his body into the formation. Each one of them being butchered as quickly and painfully as possible, the draconians’ screams echoed throughout the destroyed village.

Ignoring all the pain his body felt from the clashes, Delton laughed like a maniac. His body now a meat paste like before. Crazily, Caelus continued his massacre, not letting a single one escape.

After the last draconian had been slaughtered, Caelus let out a scream that resounded through the heavens. Fortissimus had woken up and watched on with awe.

He walked up to his son, fully caked in multi-colored blood, then knelt down to hug him.

Caelus began to cry, “I’m sorry, father. I should’ve stayed. This is all my fault.”

“No, son. Don’t worry. As long as you’re safe. Rest up and heal yourself.”

“No, father. Our village still needs to help. I need to face the consequences of my actions.”

After wiping away the blood from his face and arms, Caelus walked through the village with Fortissimus in tow. Caelus went through the rubble of several houses to find several wounded hunters and villagers. But he also found several ruined houses, of which the insides had been burned heavily. In these houses, he found the charred remains of various unidentifiable figures, causing him to grit his teeth.

Many of the elderly and children were hidden behind several rubble or rooms. Most of the casualties were from the hunters.

After estimating the numbers, over forty percent of the villagers had died, mostly the men who were protecting their wives, parents, and children.

Fortissimus spoke, “We have a scouting group of hunters outside still. I hope they’re safe.”

Caelus responded, “Yeah, on the way back, I saw several tribes and villages on fire with several draconians pillaging them. From what their general said, they’re doing this so the birdmen won’t be able to gain any advantage from this war.”

“Truly monsters…”

Caelus stumbled, then coughed up several mouthfuls of blood. Looking at Caelus’ wounds and realizing that most of them were not from the battle at the village, Fortissimus gulped and asked, “Did you actually succeed in killing that general?”

Wiping the blood from his mouth, Caelus spoke, “Yeah. All of them in that evil camp are dead.”

“Wow. You’re too strong for these lands already.”

They then caught sight of a passed out Lucius and his parents behind some rubble. Quickly moving, Fortissimus stopped the bleeding of Lucius’ father.

Caelus carefully woke up the child Lucius. Groggily waking up, Lucius gained clarity, then tears started to stream from his eyes. He, then cried out, “Brother!”

Seeing Lucius panic, Caelus quickly asked, “Where is he?”

After letting out several coughs, Lucius’ father regained consciousness and screamed out, “He’s dead! My son’s dead! They killed my son!”

“Where?!” Caelus asked again with a much stronger tone, snapping Lucius from crying for one moment to point at their destroyed house a block away, before beginning to cry again.

Immediately, Caelus rushed and tore open through the house. He saw the charred remains of two figures. One looked like a draconian, and the other looked to be two halves of a kid. Knowing that this was Lucius’ house, Caelus screamed out louder than before and started to weep. “Marcus!”

Feeling his mind and heart ache from seeing Marcus’ body again, Delton snapped awake. With tears streaming down his eyes, he ignored his chip assistant, as he quickly ran out of his apartment.

Lucius also exited the dream and floated after him, calling out too Delton, “Hey, kid! Hold on! Stop! You’re in reality now!”

Delton shouted out through the street by his apartment complex, “My friend! They killed my friend! It’s all my fault!” Tears streaming down his face, Delton clutched his head, as several of the passersby backed away.

One of the passersby, however, went up to Delton and asked, “Take some deep breaths. I’ll call the authorities to help you.”

Delton lashed out at the man, screaming out, “My brother’s dead! They killed my brother!” Feeling too much pain in his head, Delton could not help but to pass out.
