《The Journey to Godhood: A Madman's Dream》Ch 19: "What will my mother think?"

After we talked for a bit my parents went into their quarters to clean themselves in the sonic showers.
I went back to the bridge.
"Good job ensign. You managed to not blow up the ship. Also, did you come up with a name?"
"Th-thank you, captain.Yes, captain. This one wants to be called Mia."
"Ah, mia, mama mia. Nice name, easy on the tongue."
The nervous young ensign Mia blushed and walked, no ran towards her console, she almost tripped in the process.
I sat back on tho the captain's chair.
"Lt.Commander. What is the status of the drones."
"How should I know? The probes are in warp for a long time."
The Lt.Commander showed no interest in her work, she rather wanted to play with her fingernails.Oh no, why was she so rebellious? I programmed them to be able to develop as persons. What if some decided to fight against me? No, no, that wouldn't happen. If I won't let her develop than that would make me a hypocrite.
I downloaded planet Tera's sensor data into my computer, I would later analyze it. Now was the time to check on my parents.
"Computer, where are my parents located?"
"Your parents are in their quarter on deck 3 section 21"
"Lt.Commander."
"Yes, captain."
"You have the bridge."
"Aye Aye." There was not even a shred of enthusiasm in her voice.
. . .
I was in front of my parents quarters. Since it was difficult to reach the ring bell, I decided to knock on the wooden door.
I heard a noise inside the quarter and the door opened.
Father stood in front of me with an embarrassed smile. My mother was sitting on the bed with a red face. She was constantly adjusting her hair.
I coughed once.
"I see, I came in an improper time."
"Huh? Ehh, nooo wait. This isn't what it looks like."
My father became a bit panicked, making my mother more embarrassed.
"I can understand fully. You both are in your prime and mother is still fertile. I can only give you my blessings. Good luck. Take as much time as you need, you can come back tomorrow, just ask Number One to beam you down home. Ah, right also take these."
I replicated two communicators and handed it to my father.
"Here, you just to push it and call my name. That way we'll be in contact."
"Thorus, hehe, I owe you one." Father patted my head.
"Thank you, Thorus. We'll see that sect thing of yours someday later."
"Can I do what I want then?"
"Yes, yes. Just don't make trouble." Mother said.
With that, I had gained more freedom. It seemed like I won't be an only child for long.

"Roooland, now come back." My father was pulled back by blood crimson bindings and dragged to the bed.
You could hear a bit of struggle before the door closed. I decided to quickly vacate the area. The thought of what they gonna do made me shiver.
I walked towards the turbo lift when the sounds of battle rose. When the morning started I began to run. The turbo lift door opened, and I spammed the emergency close button.
"Phew, my innocent mind almost shattered. Deck 5."
The lift only needed a few breaths before I arrived.
Walking down the hall, the many beautiful crew holograms greeted me.
It was like, captain here and captain there. Aiya, I pitied them a bit. In the future, I'm gonna find out how to create a body and soul for all of these pour holograms.
If I could hack the system and create living beings, wouldn't I become akin to a god?
I calmed my breath as I almost begun panting. I arrived at the mess hall where the rest of the bunch was located.
"Ancestor, you are back." It was Julius who first saw me.
"So, what do you think of my ship?"
"Master, this ship is awesome.Especially the torpedos. How about we fire some of those?" Elise suggested.
"Not now, we can't just shoot around, it could draw attention. Anyway, I have come here to tell you that plans have changed. We will depart for Velen City soon."
"So it's time?" Julius asked his face turned serious.
"Yes, we will show your grandfather that you are the rightful successor. He will directly pass the crown to you."
"Not that I doubt your ability Ancestor but how do you plan to do it? My grandfather is a stubborn person, to convince him would take a lot of effort."
Bob and Bould nodded.
"Heh, what is a mere king? My master has already cut off the mundane since he was born. To mention trash like that in the same breath as master is a disgrace."
"Hohoho, my cute little disciple, what you say has merit but we shouldn't look down on the king too much. Since Julius is now part of our sect, the king and his subjects have become something like our extended family."
"A-Ancestor.Thank you, this junior will dedicate his life to serve you." Julius showed a grateful face.
I chuckled. This fellow was too naive but his will to get stronger was the real deal.
"Don't worry everything will go as planned. If I say so, I make it so. Just trust me and I will make you a king in five years."
"How can't I believe you, this junior wouldn't dare."
"Yes, yes stop with this junior thing. You will become a king in the future, so you should act like one from now on."

"Yes, Ancestor."
"Good.Good. Number One take everyone and give them proper attire. We can't enter the royal palace looking like a bunch of beggars."
"Yay, new clothes." Elise seemed excited.
"Number one, give these people their clothes. Replicate some Duranium weapons for my disciples, also provide them with personal shields."
"Aye, captain.This way please."
"Did you hear, ancestor said, my disciples." Bob became excited.
The other smiled and went along.
Uncle Lee was also about to follow when I stopped him.
"Uncle Lee, come with me please we need to talk."
Uncle Lee looked into my eyes and nodded.
"Let's go then, young master." He flicked his beard and laughed.
. . .
Currently, Uncle Lee and I were in the captain' quarters, meaning my awesome room. It had many gadgets and massive replicators. To be precise it was not a room, more like a big ass hall.
"Uncle Lee, this mission's success is of utmost importance. You will play a big part in this mission."
"Hohoho, don't worry, young master can rest at ease. There won't be any problems."
"Good, good."
"Young master didn't just come here to talk, if there is anything I can do, please say so."
I sighed, the creation of my genius. An artificial sentient being. Since uncle Lee was the creation of my genius, it was important to treat him like any other human. Even if he was just a program, I believed that he could evolve into a new lifeform.
"Uncle Lee, you are the sect leader of the Profound Heaven Sect.Don't sell yourself short."
I walked towards the replicator.
"Computer replicate a phaser pistol mark VI. A tricoder and a personal shield mark VIII."
"Here take them. You should know how to use them."
Uncle Lee nodded and took the weapon, tricorder, and shield.
"Use deadly force only when necessary. You have to protect your mobile holo-emitter at all cost. If it gets destroyed it could get tricky to recover your data. Of course, I could load the backup but alas that would be like the current you dying."
"I understand young master. Not only do you rely on me, a hologram. You also genuinely care about my well being. To have such a magnificent master, I Xiao Lee have received blessings higher than the mountains."
"Aiya, yes, yes. Uncle Lee, please you make me embarrassed. Don't worry, I promise you that I will make you truly human. Hahaha. Now, now. All flattery aside, you should join with the rest. I need to take care of something first."
"Alright. See you later young master." Bowed with a grateful look on his face.
Uncle Lee left the hall with his hands behind his back. Now that the appearance and weapons of my followers were taken care of it was time care of mine.
I sat crossed legged and focused on my soul. After a brief moment of meditation, I could see my soul and the vast sea of consciousness. In the two years, I had developed my own meditation technique that allowed to peak into the inner workings of my body and soul.
In the middle of my soul, the black seed spread its roots. Negative energy produced inside my soul would get sucked from the roots, further strengthening the seed.
I had already trained my seed to the max, but I arrived at a wall. It was the seal the god of madness put on. If I wanted to advance with my seeds power then I needed to strengthen my body.
Since I was inside of a two-year-old body, it was better not to overdo it with bodily cultivation. The process of destruction and reconstruction could wait when I was five.
The only choice I had left was to wait until my body grew.
The seed and its roots were fully soaked with negative energy. They couldn't absorb more because of the seal. Well, if it was that case then I should relieve the pressure, and make way for more.
I could manipulate the power of the seed, into many shapes and form. I'm certain that I could create a permanent beard created from the power of the seed.
I split the energy of the seed into thousands of strands. I refined 80% of my accumulated power into beard hairs. Willing them out of my face involved no pain. I also enhanced my eyebrows they also became long and silky. My hair was also enhanced by the seed of hatred. If this went on I could weaponize my whole body hair.
I chuckled to myself and went to the mirror.
A small cute little brat could be seen in the mirror. It was the body of a two-year-old. There was nothing special about his physical appearance. Except for his black long and silky fu manchu beard and extended goatee. His black hair reached until his hips and he looked like an experienced elder. Only he was two years old, no matter how hard he tried to look profound the childishness from his face couldn't be hidden. The red eyes suited my now black hair. Before the change, I had silver hair like my mother.
"Aiya, who is that profound dude in that mirror there?"
"What mirror where?" I replied back to myself.
"Who can this attractive expert be?"
I danced in joy then suddenly realized something I didn't think of before.
"What will my mother think?"

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
