《Totem Master: A Spiritual Adventure》The BattleSmiths

Jacob spoke, “Hello Hellen.” He said addressing the sleeping figure. He was very glad that the gods had been so kind as to facilitate auto translation for every sentient being on the planet. It would make things so much easier.
The pale figure of Hellen stirring from her sleep. She immediately was wide awake, her head raising up and her eyes locking with Jacob’s. Her sparkly green elven eyes locking with his own green eyes. He had been told she was an elf by Hethara but seeing it now so clear was a different matter entirely.
In that moment while their eyes were locked, he felt something new within him, a blessing from Hethara clambering to life. He thought, ‘Wow I have Gaydar.’ This new blessing of his told him that Hellen would not be interested in him, for her heart belonged to another, a woman.
“I have met your lady. She was a lovely women.” The paladin blinked before addressing him, “I have been informed. I have also been informed that you are very important to my lady and you are to be protected. So…” Hellen said while standing up. “Congratulations you are now part of the adventuring team, The BattleSmiths.” She said in a voice that seemed not to be excited about the prospect.
Jacob smile glad and touched that Hethara would be looking out for him. He thought again of that kiss before returning his attention to the matter at hand. Before he could speak however the door slammed against the wall as it had been kicked in. In walked a man wearing a green hooded cloak. The strange thing about this cloak however was that it seemed to be made from living leaves woven together.
The man felled his hood. He appeared to be human, and was shorter than Jacob, only about five feet tall. His eyes were a vibrant blue, his hair the color of midnight, wild and unkept like nature itself. His skin was tanned clearly from long periods of time in the sun. “Archival you’ll be the one paying for that door with your own coin!” Hellen snapped at the Druid.

He paid her no heed, however. Instead he was immediately by Jacobs bedside, nearly knocking Hellen out of her chair. Archival took Jacob’s hands in his own and began furiously shaking them. “Oh, I’m so happy to make your acquaintance! I have heard you were a Totem master from my paladin friend here. Paladins cannot lie you see but I must hear it from you myself with my own ears. Are you a Totem Master?”
Jacob was slightly thrown by the flood of words that poured from Archival’s mouth. Before he could answer however Hellen picked Archival up by his arms and set him down off to the side. “There you go. Sorry about Archie here. He gets very talkative about the things he loves. Those being Nature, history, and apparently Totem Masters.” Hellen said with a genuine smile.
Jacob recovered, “Its fine, and Yes, I do have the class, Totem Master.” Archival began jumping for joy kicking up dirt from the floor. Jacob waved the cloud of particle kicked up away as best he could before he asked, “So, how many people are in this adventuring party of yours?”
Hellen returned to the bedside after she had cracked Archival over the head with her fist to get him to stop jumping around like a child. “Well I have been told you already know about me, I’m Hethara’s paladin. This is Archival our Druid. The other two, not including you now I guess, are Thomas our half troll barbarian, and Calisa our… elven rouge.”
Jacob could tell there was some mixed feelings between the paladin and the rouge, it was common in adventuring parties. Then something happened. That same feeling from earlier crept in again when she mentioned the rouge. Could it be…No, could it? Jacob suppressed a smile, holding that line of inquiry for a later time. Somewhere off in the distance, like a voice on the wind he heard a light chuckle. He nearly lost it right then and there, but he steeled himself and held in the laughter.

Passive Skill: Iron Will, has been obtained…
That line ran through his mind distracting him from his other thoughts and helping to calm his emotions in the process.

The story of a fire elemental's life in a world dominated by mages. He will have to learn how to manage betrayals, treachery, and maybe even love as he goes on adventures to find a meaning to it all. From dark, humble beginnings he will rise... or fall, devastating amounts in his journey across the world. Hello, Author here! I am, unfortunately, rather terrible at coming up with descriptions that seem to have the right amount of decorum and yet actually serve their function of adequately describing the story, so here's the coursenotes. - The story follows a fire elemental. (As you can tell from that, it is heavily besed on fantasy with mages and the like. Technology will not feature prominently) -As mentioned in the tags, this will have game-like aspects. (E.G. levels, stats. I will be trying to put my own twist on this notion however, so bear with me if the premise intrests you but you despise LitRpg) -It'll get rather dark, but not devastatingly so. (I'm trying to write a more complex story so it will have its dark moments, the prologue being one of them. Rest assured the whole story will not be this dark, though I'll make sure that no-one is a saint either) -The protagonist/protagonists will not be a Mary-Sue. (The plural will be understood when I'm further into the story. They also won't be impossiby unlikeable such as those in many Light novels.) -There is no prophecy (Anyone who says there is, is lying, trust me.)

The Origins Of The Races [Español!]
