《On How I Slayed The Celestial Beings To Court A Girl》Chapter 1: Your Attack Is Too Exaggerated (Intro)

In an unknown space-time…

Nuclear explosions engulfed the earth.

Boom. Rumble. Whoosh.

No. These weren’t nuclear explosions at all.

The mushroom clouds that ensued directly penetrated the atmosphere and reached beyond the sky.

Its dimensions almost reached the pearly white moon that was orbiting innocently in the void.

Calling an explosion that scorched the earth into an abyss and literally opened the gates of heaven would be an insult to its destructive power.

An explosion of that magnitude would theoretically spread shock waves that rolled extensively in all directions.

However, the affected area was strictly kept within an area of 20 million square miles and only erased the city state enclosed within as if some deity drew a circle and colored it in.

Not far away, a bizarre creature was levitating in the sky facing the devastation with a twisted face.

Its eyes were scrunched and facial features so vividly contorted that wrinkles with a depth that could trap a fly emerged.

The light from the aftermath had almost blinded it.

The bizarre creature had emerald green scales, a snake body, two miniature wings, horns of a sheep, talons of an eagle, and a dragon’s snout plus the addition of whiskers and a flowing beard.

This creature was very similar to an eastern dragon and could technically be labeled a dragon.

Standing on top of the dragon who had a very humane expression of regret on its face was a figure shrouded in a cloak.

The cloak swayed in the breeze and was painted the color of the bottomless night.

The figure’s face was obscured by the shadow of the hood and there was an eerie starlight coming from the position of the eyes.

In the figure’s right hand which was wrapped tightly in white gauze was a three feet long sword similar to a trident.

The sword had an additional shorter blade on both sides of the sword base and a sharp silver glow reflected from its silvery crystal body.

Attached to the bottom of the sword handle was a foot of jade chains.

Hot steam emanated from the sword, visibly distorting the surroundings.

However, the cloaked figure didn’t seem to mind the temperature.

Just now the explosion that wiped out a city-state nearly three times the size of modern Russia was his masterpiece.

A gentle masculine voice filled with the vicissitudes of life commented.

Sigh. “Not thorough enough but barely acceptable. Let’s go and finish what should be finished.”

Obviously the cloaked figure didn’t seem to consider his art a masterpiece.

Underneath his feet, the dragon sneered and resisted the urge to smack the cloaked figure with its tail for his high sounding remarks.

Barely acceptable?

The dragon took off and soared into the sky not bothering to flap its tiny wings and took a final glance at the wreckage with inflamed puffy eyes that had turned mahogany from the usual blood red.

What was originally a majestic city-state had been charred to smithereens, its landscape forcibly flattened, and the once proud cathedrals and statues that stood in the city-state had long been turned into broken pillars and rubbish.

The ground was cracked resulting in seeping magma and grayish flames with a silver luster burned stubbornly on the remaining ruins.

There was a massive hole in the atmosphere above the wreckage from which the blue and white skies formed a strikingly beautiful contrast with the starry firmament.

Not a single life remained.

The dragon snorted and commented in its heart.

Barely acceptable my ass.

While the duo were airborne, the Gods’ Realm was in turmoil.

An emergency meeting was being held in a magnificent golden palace in the center of the God’s Realm that was studded with jewels that could make any woman soft and men moan.

This was no exaggeration because each of these jewels were about the size of a car.

The luxurious life of the gods who dwelled in the Gods’ Realm was clearly exhibited.

Inside the throne room of the palace that could fit several mount Everest, many mighty gods sat on their respective thrones that were arranged in a U-shaped fashion.

Each god had a throne with its own unique characteristics related to their jurisdiction:

A god with bulging muscles like mountains sat on a throne inscribed with murals of warriors beheading countless life forms as if simply chopping watermelon…

One with silky hair flowing like the tides slump back on her blue green throne engraved with waterfalls and marine creatures…

Another god actually had a lower torso of a bird and perched on a throne weaved from branches and feathers resembling a nest…

Some stood, some slouched, some sat seemingly upside down, some flopped, some literally melted on their thrones, and some had questionable postures.

In short, whatever posture these gods used, they were waiting for the true gods to speak.

The true gods were basically gods that held greater divinity, a force that gods use to cast miracles, and possessed more widespread influence on the mortal world.

These true gods were situated at the opening of the U arrangement facing the other “lesser” gods and had thrones that actually came with their own special effects.

The thrones accompanied with special effects were like luxury cars among the gods and filled the “poorer” gods with resentment.

There were three thrones corresponding to the three true gods that stood proudly side by side in the throne room:

The one on the left was 50 feet high and had statues of a fierce red dragon at the end of each armrest.

These statues were life-like western dragons with a blood red flame lit on their tails.

At the bottom of the throne was a pile of skulls in which it was difficult to distinguish the race.

However, judging from the fierce aura emanating from these skulls, one could tell their owners were absolutely capable creatures.

The seat of this left most throne was layered with fur from an unknown legendary beast and specks of dried blood dyed the orange fur.

There was a nine headed dragon carved on the body of the bloody white throne and faint dragon roars could be heard.

This was the throne of the Beast god.

A colossal titan filled with cracks flowing with magma on the surface of his coal like skin.

The throne of the true god situated in the middle was relatively simple in comparison to the well decorated throne of the Beast god.

It was just pure light.
