《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 14 - Lunch

Nothing exciting happened during the classes; all we did was take notes. The subjects were math and history, I was average in math, but I didn't learn anything I already knew about the past. I finished early and made way to class nineteen, which ended not long after.
Lance saw me, and we made our way towards the cafeteria. It was an open area with marble pillars around the area and about twelve white tables, each of them having four seats. Lance and I made out way towards the cafeteria and were greeted with two men.
"Hello hello," One of the men yelled in delight.
"Welcome to a place of wonder and food, what would you like?" The other person finished.
Lance and I looked at a chalkboard which was filled with dishes I had never heard of. The dishes were sorted into four boards, one for drinks, two for main meals, and the final one were for dessert. Underneath it read, 'No more than five items', which seemed o be a reasonable amount.
Lance looked at drooling as he already knew what he wanted. I quickly followed, and he began to order.
"I'll have a raspberry tart, a strawberry cake slice, and a deluxe ham sandwich," Lance ordered.
After he stated what he wanted, I quickly followed suit.
"I'll have black coffee with a... beef burger?" I listed the gentlemen, confused about the second thing I ordered.
"We'll have it done in a jiffy," The men responded in a cheerful tone before going to work.
Lance and I were gaping in awe of how in sync the two people were at making food - some of the foods like the deserts we're already made - but it was still amazing to watch. After about thirty seconds, two platters were on the counter, one was mine, and the other was Lance's.
"How did you do that?" I asked them.
"When you've been in the industry for fifteen years, you know what the other's thinking," One of the men said.
"Wow, that's a long time! So, what do I owe you?"
"Everything in the cafeteria doesn't cost a bronze rume; we serve whoever is a student in the school,"

"That's an excellent service, what are your names for further notice,"
"One of our names is Lukio, and the other is Octer, you'll figure which ones which soon," Both of them said simultaneously laughing.
As I thanked them again, I sat down with Lance by the nearest table, as the rest were taken. I took a sip of my coffee, and by that time, Lance had already demolished the raspberry tart. With joy in his eyes, he began to destroy the cake slice as well.
About halfway through he started to punch his chest and held up his glass to me. I laughed and filled up his glass with small pieces of ice which melted, like what the principal did to me. I hesitated at that moment, but Lance didn't care and quickly gulped down the cold water.
"Hahahaha! Let me guess; you barely had sugary delights in Daishin?" I asked Lance sarcastically, finally eating a part of my main meal, which was delicious.
"Yeah, we barely had anything sweet, the only thing we had that was sweet was small berries,"
"Just remember to chew okay," I took a second bite, the burger filling my mouth.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say, your royal highness,"
"I am not a royal of Keneros, I am a high ranking noble, with almost as much authority as any royal of the area!" I took a sip of my coffee.
As Lance and I were eating our main course, I heard a 'hey punk' in the distance. I turned around hoping it wasn't Frederick, instead I found the girl that had attacked Lance earlier. She was walking towards me with two large brown haired men trailing behind her. She walked straight up to the table and stood there, giving both of us a death stare.
"You got some balls standing up to me back in the first period," The girl snarled.
"Why are you bothering us again?" I sighed, lowering my cup.
"Because you humiliated me on the first day! And I didn't get to beat that guy to a bloody pulp," She pointed at Lance.
"Too bad so sad. Could you please leave us alone? We're trying to eat here,"

"No, in fact,"
She snapped her fingers, and the boy to her right punched me in the face. I went flying and hit a pillar across the open courtyard where the students would've eaten. I got back up, with rage boiling inside of me, I used my elf eyes to look at the situation. The girl grabbed Lance by the neck, and the two lackeys were making their way towards me. I summoned my incarnate weapon, and two daggers appeared in my hands.
I felt my source of darkness returning as I ran towards the lackeys. One of them saw me coming and sent a fireball out of his hands straight at me. The other one smashed the ground, causing a small tremor. I blocked the fireball by covering my arm in ice and hovered until the trembling subsided. As I was within arms reach of the fire lackey, I stabbed his right arm and dragged down my dagger, creating a deep and massive wound.
The lackey then screeched and wailed like a banshee before pulling my dagger. He seemed all better, which confused me; I used my elf eyes to zoom in on the stab spot to see it all healed. He seemed to have my demonic healing in him, but he didn't seem affected like when I used it. I rushed at the lackeys again, this time I made sure to keep my other weapon.
I dodged the continuous attacks they bombarded me with, and I got back my other dagger which was on the floor. After that, I stabbed both the lackeys in their arms and legs, making them fall. I subdued both of them by twisting one arm each and was now able to negotiate with the girl since I also had a hostage.
"Drop him!" I yelled.
"Suit yourself, do whatever you want to them, I just want to hurt him as much as I can!" The girl yelled back, tightening her grip.
"Drop him; otherwise I'll break their bones,"
"Suit yourself, both of them are replaceable."
My anger kept growing towards the girl, then something confusing happened, the arms of the lackeys were both getting cold. I then had a flashback of when the demon that controlled my body did; it froze the demon over. I then tried to focus my source into both the lackey's arms.
As I concentrated as much source as I could, I could feel my dark and ice source slowly turning into something else, I focused on my touch of their skin, and the lackey's arms froze over. When I could feel my source reaching the elbows of both of them, I stopped. Both of the lackeys then yelled again, and I could now see the fear emitting from the girls face.
"Drop him now; otherwise I'll smash their arms into smithereens!" I yelled even louder at the girl, my ghostly tail flailing around.
She then dropped Lance, who was white in the face, I then ceased my demonic ability and let go of both the lackeys. I ran towards Lance, but the girl stopped me, she put her lips very close to my ear.
She then whispered "In five days meet me behind the school, be there or else," In my ear before she took tail and ran.
I was standing still for a second, just summarizing what happened then ran to Lance. I got on my knees to look at his face, it was as white as a ghost, but it was slowly turning back to normal.
"Lance, are you okay" I gasped out.
"I will be fine, but I think I need a break from class," Lance replied.
I snorted and carried him to the school nurse. I then went back to classes for the rest of the day and was picked up by the carriages. After I got back to Jododams place, I immediately bolted straight out of the transport and into the dead trees. After about five minutes of running, I reached where Alicia usually meditated, and to no surprise, she was there.
"Alicia…" I panted
"Shhh Dyne, I'm trying to concentrate," Alicia replied
"We need to talk about something,"
"What do you need to talk about,"
"I was able to use my demon abilities, a new one."

The Wild Touch
The world of Delmathar has many conflicts and plots that span over the whole world and even into the war torn oceans. That’s not even taking into account that the world is a candidate in the Realm wars… but that’s a story for another day. Instead we will follow the story of how a goddess’s botched attempt of using a weak earth soul to make powerful Grafter for her mother, ends up empowering an unsuspecting little boy. The boy who is called Nosal Brownwhisker, who happens to be a peaceful little buttonless-shirt loving little Capyban. And as the Brownwhisker family tries to juggle their everyday lives on their monster ranch and hiding little Nosal’s secret, more and more developments keep popping up in the village of Pancreedy that makes life more.. interesting. Author’s notes:This is my first fiction and I understand it will suck. Hopefully you will find it to be enjoyable enough to hang around. There’s not going to be any epic world-ending fights or any stuff like that, just some shenanigans generally with the story progressing very slowly as it changes from many viewpoints. The world of Delmathar may seem funky for now so I will promise a glossary every 15 chapters. The wild touch will be updated at least twice a week, with me having no backlog of chapters. So if I get mobbed at work or get sick I will let you know in my notes on a short chapter. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the people who support me, give me encouragement and pointers.
