1.1 Chapter

The day began with a drop of water on my head. I arrived at my classroom and waited for my classmates to come. As usual, I was the first to arrive for class. While I was waiting, my mind wandered to Hiro.

He's late again today, and I'm sure he slept late again. I'm at a loss on what to do with him. I advised him to come to school on time and then be motivated, but he never listens to me no matter how many times I tell him. What to do with him? He doesn't even try making new friends, let alone attending gatherings.

"Yui, did you watch a television show that aired yesterday at 6 p.m.?" My good buddy Kei Kamizaki drew me out of my thoughts. I have numerous friends, but she is the only one who is close to me and feels like a family member.

She sat in the seat next to mine and then turned to face me, eagerly awaiting my response.

"I didn't since I was too busy with my assignment."

“Hmmm. That's awful; you missed the greatest show ever."

"Oh, I didn't? When I get home, I'll watch it on the internet. They may have posted on social media."

We didn't stop talking, which was both amusing and illogical, until our homeroom teacher arrived.

She began taking attendance; everyone but Hiro was absent. It was not surprising, but rather expected; he is stupid, greedy, and, most importantly, childish. Coming a little earlier wouldn't hurt him, bakahiro hmph.

"I see that everyone is present, well, everyone today is a new student is going this class."

"Come inside," she said after a brief pause.

The new transfer student was a female with a ponytail and pretty eyes. She walks into our class and begins to introduce herself.

"Hello, my name is Hiromi Miyazaki. I'm excited to study with you guys." Her tone was that of a joyful girl who will win the hearts of many boys.

"I arrived from-" Hiro came in and interrupted her. This time, he was unable to avoid teacher punishment. I couldn't say anything when the teacher handed Miyazaki Hiro's seat.

There was a lot of controversy between Hiro and the new transfer student when Hiro enter the class. After a moment, Hiro decided to gave up his seat.

I was happy that he didn't cause any commotion, because else I'd have to teach him the lesson all over again, just like a parent would with their child.

The day concluded with discussions about Hiromi the entire period, particularly boys. I'm hoping Hiro isn't one of them.
