《RE: Wisp of the Elves》Chapter 5.3 - The Mage Tower
Advertisement
I was not even the least bit fazed when I was alone during my imprisonment as a decoration lighting. I also was ok during the travel time and then being in the mayor’s office.
But this is too much.
It’s inhumane.
Which doesn’t certainly mean it’s ok for a wisp!
I got locked in the groom’s mage tower as a ‘rare specimen’.
It’s a white room without anything I could use for my escape, any means to see the outside world, and I would be brought various magical tools to ‘feed on’.
This place even prevents any ‘achievements’ of my elves from being displayed to me. Or the worst case scenario is that something really did happen to them.
Do they suspect I am mentally unstable, perhaps?
Well, if I was not back then, I may be now.
The first thing I could think of in my loneliness was the music of our world. I could think of a few tunes to remember.
But then it faded away.
So I started to think about the movies, the stories and my friends.
Which was also just temporary.
In the end, I even started to imagine writing a diary of my experience in this world and my story. But it’s not like I can write a fanfic or try to do an online business here. Well... I guess that if you are reading this... I wrote it in the end in my head, and then sometime later put it on a paper.
But I… really feel too strange.
It’s as if I got a headache, yet it not hurts.
As if I was exercising my body, yet I am motionless.
If I got no hope in the form of getting dungeon points, I would really feel despair.
You harvested 10 dungeon points from “Enchanted damascus sword” Enchanted damascus sword got status ‘Slightly worn-out’. Cooldown of energy harvest ability: 1 hour

Feeding on the sword, I brought my points to 598 total. It goes pretty fast - the magician would still try to “analyze” my energy, being dumbfounded at the fact that I don’t get any mana from using my energy harvest ability.
And the other positive news were that I also got my first new ability!
After feeding on all those magical weapons, I became accustomed to memorize their ‘taste’.
You learned a new ability (passive): Tasting the Elements & Alignment Every time you harvest an energy from a source, you can identify its elements and alignment, as long as it is among those known by you. Known elements: Wind, Water, Earth, Dread Known alignments: Nature, Darkness, Legion of Dread
Yes, being chained for 23 days by an apparition taught me some things.
And other than those things, I also got to know that a strong first move on your part may prevent from anyone making a move after that.
And so I waited till my points piled up.
And in the end, I got my moment of victory: 876 dungeon points.

Knights cultivate Laws to transcend mortality. They live for centuries, leading all of humanity while ceaselessly searching for the ultimate path. Mages study Runes to control creation itself. Their lives are short, but burn with unmatched radiance, leaving marks that may never fade. Roland Crescent consumes food to continue existing. Five years ago, at the tender age of nine, Roland suddenly stopped dreaming and instead started seeing the imminent deaths of those around him in nightly visions. Believing himself destined for greatness, he set out to become a righteous hero of justice. But as the years passed this young wannabe savior found that his duties brought him almost no discernible benefits, whereas new burdens kept piling onto his small shoulders without end. When a longtime plan’s failure ends up opening the path to several twisted opportunities, Roland might have to finally admit to himself that nobody of importance, much less fate itself, had any regards for his heroic inclinations. Slow paced, character focused story. Gets very dark at times. Basically like Lord of the Mysteries with more comedic aspects at the start. Chapters are released Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Average chapter length is about 4000 words, with only the first vision being noticeably shorter. Have fun reading.
