Quiliana's POV:
I accidentally spit my saliva hearing his last words. 4?!!!!!!! Doesn't that mean that he was in that huge Tower for only 3 years?! He learned so much AND escaped from the underground in such a short time?!?!?!?! And he wasn't even 5 years old at that time?!!
...what the hell?!
-You were 4 years old when you escaped from that Tower?!!! How?! You were still a little kid!
-Well, yes. That's exactly why I almost immediately got caught. I didn't know there were such powerful guards outside, even till now I barely ever meet people as strong as those guys. My father learned of my escape and got angry so they found another Library for me - this one was completely different. It was situated on a floating mountain! I liked it right from the beginning. They put me on the lowest floor which was at the peak of the mountain - because the whole thing was actually upside down - it got wider the higher you went. They destroyed the exit right after they threw me inside - leaving only a small shaft to bring me food through it. They didn't like that I left the previous time. There were many floors in that place and the only other entrance was hidden somewhere high in the clouds, on the last level. Even the first floor's entrance was more complicated than any book I read in the Tower before.
-T-that's so sad... - I commented, shaken inside. What kind of life was this? And I thought I was unhappy...
-Sad? Why? I was happy! After reading all the books I could in that Tower I got way too bored, that's why I thought of escaping. But the next place was like a Paradise to me - the tomes on all of the floors were getting more and more complicated the higher you went. I wasn't bored even for a moment! The door to the next level was guarded by defensive formations I never saw before and each and every one of them required higher skills to dispell it. I loved it! I could learn anything and everything I wanted, solved the weirdly complicated riddles and some games on the walls of every floor. It's like the place was tailor-made for me to have fun!

-For real?! You lived in such a place?! From your description, it seems more like a labyrinth or a dungeon than a 'library'!
-Well, there were some monsters guarding the door after I passed the tenth level so maybe it was something similar? They weren't too dangerous though, way easier to handle than the puzzles and defensive formations that came next. Simple questions like what ratio of space and material elements would you use for 'Area Omission'. Easy, right?
-Ummm... What is 'Area Omission'?
The look he gave me was as if he was looking at a monkey instead of a human being.
...if not worse. Much worse, in fact. Yeah, his eyes say it all.
-Obviously, it's a name of a spell of space movement type. It's more like a short-distance teleportation, though not the same. It's a way to move your presence - your body - to a different place immediately while disregarding - omitting - the distance you would normally move through to get there.
-...honestly, I'm not sure I got what you mean.
This Hell is more like a real world than I thought. And this guy is very, very hard to talk to. Is this the torture part of hell?
He rolled his eyes, sighed and only then tried explaining again, in a quite forceful tone of voice:
-Let's say there's point A - that's where we are now. And point B is above the ground, directly above us. 'Area Omission' lets you go from point A to B as if the space between those locations was nonexistent. Like it was never there in the first place! Teleportation moves you along a 'line' through space that's between A and B but 'Area Omission' folds the space itself and moves you directly there, not through an invisible 'tunnel' in space. You don't 'travel' through space but just appear elsewhere.

-Wow... That's a lot of 'through' and 'space' words you used just now.
-Is everybody an idiot on this planet?! Or am I the only one that's actually educated?! How can I explain something complicated to you in a different way when you don't know things like folding the space or distance negligence?
-What is distance negligence? You didn't mention it before.
Alex raised his hands high to show how helpless and stupid I was in his mind.
-It's the theory behind 'Area Omission'. You're neglecting - disregarding - the territory between one place and another. It lets you instantly be in a different location without having to actually traverse the space between those two points like with Teleportation.
-I think I kind of understand that now. It's a different way of teleporting!
-... let's just say that's mildly correct. Not really accurate but close.
-Couldn't you have said that from the beginning?!
-Haaaaaaah, really...
That was a really long sigh. Ah! I was listening to his history but he never answered my question!
-I was asking you before...
-...why I'm here? - he quickly finished instead of me. So he remembers. I thought he surely forgot about it...
-I want you.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeh? H-he w-wants m-m-me?
-B-but I'm only 14!
-What does age got to do with it? You can speak, that's enough. Oh, were you inarticulate, it would be fine for me as well. I don't care about such things.
This... this degenerate! Freaking mad psychopath! He's completely nuts! He would probably go after a corpse too if he really doesn't care about the other party's condition or involvement in the act. Someone save meeee!!! Aunty! I looked behind me and she was there!
Lying down in a pool of her own blood...
I stood up abruptly which made the 'High Master' twitch from surprise. Running to my only relative in this world I held her bloody head in my arms and leaned down to check her breathing while trying not to cry. If this is Hell then why is she still here?!!
...she wasn't breathing. OK. I don't care anymore if this is Hell or not. This guy murdered her!! And you were having a chat with him, completely ignoring the only person you ever trusted with your life... This tormentor... sent here by that 'high and mighty' Estwill... I will never forgive you! For murdering my one and only guardian and at the same time, aunt, best friend and the only family I have left... Even if I die, I will have my revenge!
