《Transmigrated Into A Game》2: Rude Awakening

After the total darkness and silence, faint sounds slowly emerged. It was faint at first, as if the sounds were merely the ghost of the voices. Then it became clearer and clearer, causing Rose's head to buzz. Pain assaulted her head like a worm was sadistically biting her brain.

She lifted her head up, a hand on her forehead, her eyes blinking to her surroundings as she tried to comprehend what has happened after her car accident. There were fragmented memories slowly emerging with her own, but they were incomprehensible and at best merely images.

She tried to reason the classroom she was in, the shouting teacher in front of the class and the loud murmurings of her classmates. Rose realized, she was not where she was supposed to be. Death should've embraced her.

She frowned and tried to study everyone's faces, yet there was nobody she recognized. Finally, she concluded she needed to talk to someone, maybe then, they can provide her answers as to what she was doing here.

Amidst the clamor of the classroom due to Rose's behavior, she stood up from her seat and walked to the teacher. Rose's face was pale, looking very sick but nobody seemed worried about her at all.

When Rose was close enough, the teacher immediately complained. "Ms Kliron, you can only be given with enough detention in a semester, and if you don't behave in my class at once, you'll only have to leave!"

Rose's frown deepened, her eyes narrowing into slits. Despite not knowing what she had done wrong, she felt slighted and irritation bloomed in her chest. Yet Rose was never the type to make a fuss, and if someone had negative things to say to her, she would merely forget and forgive.

Hence, in front of the teacher, Rose replaced her initial irritation to that of an apologetic face. She dipped her head forward and said, "My apologies for whatever misunderstanding I have caused, but would you be so kind as to tell me where the infirmary is?"

Rose decided she could not talk with someone who only knew to be angry with her at the moment, swiftly deciding to find a place to rest and think. Maybe then, she can properly formulate her next course of actions. She needed to know if her daughter was alright.

"You are really just gonna leave my class?!"

Rose looked up, laying her eyes on the angry teacher. "I don't wish to offend you, teacher. However, I badly need to go to the infirmary because I have an unbearable headache at the moment. If you would be so ki--"

"Be quiet! Leave if you want to leave, but don't ever come back!"

The teacher's voice was so loud that it disrupted the other classes, but Rose had no more energy to stay. She gave another respectful bow and calmly walked out of the classroom, leaving behind loud clatters of students wanting to catch the last glimpse of her as she turned to a corner at the end of the corridor.

Within the corridor, students were trying to sneak a peak but there was no more Rose to be seen. However, their whispering begun and ever louder.

"Did she hit her head or something? She just caused trouble last week!"

"She's surely gonna be expelled this time. I mean, who causes a ruckus three times a month?"

"That's right. We haven't had any peace at all since she enrolled in the middle of the semester. When one has money, one can do anything huh. Tsk tsk!"

"Well shit damn. Feels bad for Prince Ben who is being chased by that bitch."

"Truly. She is not satisfied ruining people's reputation at all."

"What did she ever do wrong that you guys are so hell bent on cursing her?"

"You haven't seen or heard about the infamous Young Miss Kliron at all? That's sort of unbelievable, but I'll generously share what I know."

"...Okay."

"She transferred here all of the sudden in the middle of the first semester, chasing for Prince Ben. As soon as she started going to school though, she rudely treated people like they were rats, totally nothing in her eyes.

"Then some guys confessed to her and she also embarrassed them for the whole school to see. Even now, those guys are living a miserable school life because of their tarnished reputation. Although nothing beats her popularity that's always spiraling downwards.

"She also made sure that teachers don't get to punish her harshly using her father's money and reputation. If you don't know, her father is the CEO of the Electronic&Voltz Inc."

"Wow, that genius is her father?? That's amazing. It's unfortunate the daughter has a pea for a brain... But those are not enough for everyone to act so bad to her, right?"

"You are right. Because that's not all she did."

"...So what else did she do?"

"Weeeeeell, if we don't include the two Princes being her slaves, then it would be that she used her father to change the regulations of the school."

"...Which are?"

"Hey, I was telling her all the juicy bits. Don't just interfere and steal the limelight!"

"Dude, who cares? So anyway, sh--"

"She enforced that only those who tops the Royal Ranking can get a Gadget."

"....Dude. Okaay, fine. You must be thinking it can be a good rule so as to keep the competition high and students working even harder. Right?"

"..Uh, sort of."

"Yea, well. If she can limit the number of students who can carry the gadgets, she can also have her father give her one without going through the Royal Ranking. Everyone knows this, and that's why they hate her so much."

"She just wants to impress Prince Ben, but everyone knows he is not interested with her at all. He just don't say anything. Tsk."

"...I see... But she didn't look so bad earlier... Lost maybe, but not arrogant nor selfish......"

"I wouldn't assume so fast."

"Agreed... She's done other things too. You'll find out..."

While many students gossiped behind Rose's back, she was wondering on her own in search of the sacred infirmary. Her eyes wondered just about everywhere, taking everything in as if she was scared everything before her eyes would suddenly crumble and darkness would descend upon her once again.

She has also realized she was not in her own body, so she could either have transmigrated or her brain was implanted in this young lady's body. But she could already assume it was the former due to everyone's reaction in the classroom.

In their eyes, she saw ridicule, hatred and disgust. These negative emotions weren't reactions Rose had experienced often in her previous life. In fact, she was basked with admiration and adoration because of her masterful ways to play any sort of musical instrument.

As her mind was busy thinking, she didn't notice someone coming her way and by the time she did, she was already falling down onto the floor. Yet, there was no impact.

Rose slowly opened her eyes, only to be met with a pair of eyes she could not read. She immediately recovered herself and gave her thanks. But the person merely walked away from her in silence.

Rose could only return to her musing, no longer bothering with her savior nor the questions that sprung up her mind when she laid her eyes on him.

After a while of walking, she ended up in a crossroad. She could either go up, or down.

Before she could finalize her decision however, Rose heard strange noises upstairs which was strange as classes were still going.

She followed the source of the ruckus and stumbled upon a pair of attractive-looking boys whose around ages 13~14. One of them kept throwing water to the other, while the other would parry it with invisible matter. Upon closer inspection, Rose found herself in a situation similar to that of a game with the two boys exclaiming spells.

[Water Ball!] The blonde with blue eyes chanted, and a huge globe of blue water immediately sprung up out of his hand. With a little push, he managed to aim it towards the other boy whose hair was redish brown and eyes green as forest.

To deflect the [Water Ball], the auburn haired boy invoked [Gale] that swept away the water towards the blonde.

They kept going at it and quarreling over some Cookies and Cream.

Apparently, the blonde's ice cream was stolen by the auburn, resulting in their death match.

Rose begun to wonder how they were able to summon incomprehensible elements out of nowhere. She ascended to the third floor to get a better view, but before she could land on the last step, a [Water Ball] was coming her way having been deflected towards her by the auburn!

The next moment, Rose was once again falling to her death.
