《Mother Dryad & Father Dragon》Chapter 7

I'm finally able to walk on all fours! You should've seen my parents' expressions when they saw me. My mother referred to me as a genius, while my father referred to me as a barbarian! I believe he meant to say that I was strong, but not in the way that he meant it.
They're finally debating what to call me now that I've accomplished this. I wanted to pay attention, but I was stuck in the crib while they talked. On the other end, there was some yelling and fighting, but eventually I could hear them cheering with delight.
When my father barges inside, the door completely falls off its hinges. My mother smacks him across the head from behind and smiles as she looks at me. “Son, we've finally come up with a melodic title!” She exclaims ecstatically.
“It took some time, but we were able to combine your name and title! Aren't you ecstatic?!” My father inquired. Giving it my all, I screamed excitedly, but all I got were baby noises and a smile. “Sweetie, sweetie, sweetie, sweetie, sweet I can tell he understands me by the look on his face!” He says this as he picks me up into his arms and kisses my forhead.
“Of course it comprehends what you're saying. It got its brains from me, and its strength from you, of course. But we're talking about brains right now and not muscle.” Wow my mother is throwing lots of shade. God you said this was supposed to be a loving family! Before I could complain more I was handed to my mom.
“Son, your given name will be Methuselah. It's the name of a legendary tree that's been around for millennia. My son, I wish you a long and prosperous life. That you will remain strong no matter what happens.” She explains. Before handing me over to my father, she kisses me on the cheek.

“And, son, the Hereafter is your title. You are our greatest creation and our greatest hope. We are confident that you will achieve many great things in the future. Because you are Methuselah, the Hereafter!” He declares.
That name, Methuselah, the Hereafter, sounds like a badass fantasy name! As soon as they said it, a glow began to radiate from my body. “What are you doing to our son, honey?! Why is he so bright?” My mother screams angrily. As if he'd be aware of what was going on? I have no idea what's going on with me.
[You are now connected to the Level System Methuselah, the Hereafter]
My parents continue to scan me as the glowing fades away. This must be a divine blessing! For a brief moment, I believed I would receive no assistance in this world. Let's take a look at what this leveling system is all about.

Ortus (Old Version)
This is an old version of the heavily edited and rewritten Ortus This is the story of a woman named Riza. Riza is a woman who wakes up in a forest with nothing, remembering nothing, and on the cusp of death. The only thing she has is a weapon stuck in her side and, after a tangle with a wild boar, something called 'life aspect'. Little does she know that life magic is considered a dead-end branch and is largely outlawed across the world. None of this matters to her, of course. For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Riza is not some chosen one, nor is given any boon she doesn't deserve. Instead, she's smart and methodical, and experiements on how to maximise every opportunity, every ability, presented to her. She doesn't just take things at face-value but instead explores just what limitations there are. This often involves maths.

A secret that no one in Community saw coming...or did they? I will also post some of this story on Royal Road.Excerpt: To the right of the road the land rose sharply to a hill. Alex's gut tightened and fluttered as he realized their current location was not a wise one; low ground was a disadvantage in a conflict.
