I was hiding in the bushes staring at the deer right in front of me. I dug my claws into the ground waiting for the right time to attack and making sure I didn’t smell any other rogues that could possibly be around. I moved my front paw forward and accidentally stepped on a broken tree branch. Shit. The deer shot it’s head up and started to run away.

You idiot you’re letting our food get away. My wolf Lilith barked in the back of my head. I can’t believe I got stuck with a wolf that is as rude as her. I jumped out of the bushes and ran after the deer. I can’t let this one get away, not like the last one. I started to catch up to the deer but right as I was about to attack, I saw two other wolves out of the corner of my eye. One of the wolves lunged towards me causing me to lose sight of the deer. I fell to the ground as the wolf put his paw on my neck. He had a midnight blue tint to his fur and his eyes bloodshot red. The other wolf came up to me and shifted leaving him as naked on the day he was born. He was extremely tall, muscular with a few tattoos on his arms with brown hair and eyes. I knew I was screwed when neither wolf smelt like a rogue.

“Shift rogue!” He ordered me. Lilth got angry at the command and tried to take control. I tried to hold her back because I knew once she got control all hell would break loose. “I said shift now” I instantly knew this man was a Beta. Lilith pushed me into the back of our head and took full control. I watched as she attacked the leg of the wolf who still had his paw on my neck. Next thing I knew a full-on battle happened between her and the wolf. I heard a bone break as Lilith locked her jaw onto the wolf’s hind leg. She flung him into the air making him slam into a tree. She let go of his leg and was getting ready to bite down on his neck. Before she could though, we were grabbed and thrown into a tree causing our vision to blur. I heard footsteps coming towards me “You should have shifted when I said to, mutt.” Everything went black shortly after.

I woke up to a pounding in my head and upper back. I opened my eyes and saw a mossy concrete ceiling above me. I shot up from where I was laying in a panic and looked around the room just to see I was in some sort of jail cell. I got up on my feet and walked up to the bars touching them. I immediately pulled my hands away as they started to burn. I tried to hold back the tears and scream I so badly wanted to let out. Of course they are silver bars. I couldn’t believe that I got myself into this mess over a fuckin deer.

Well if you hadn’t stepped on that branch we wouldn’t be here.

If I remember correctly you are the one who attacked and attempted to kill that fuckin wolf.

Well that bastard shouldn’t have been commanding us and no one would have gotten hurt.

Get over yourself Lilith! We are a rogue that entered into a pack’s territory all because you wanted that deer and yelled at me to go after it.

Lilith immediately put her block up. She always thinks she is so high and mighty, and it's started to get on my nerves. I went to sit back down on the bed, bench or whatever the fuck it was I woke up on in the back of the cell. I had just now noticed that I was still naked from shifting back. I looked around the cell to see if there might have been any clothes I could put on. Of course there wasn’t because why on earth would they give a rogue they are most likely going to kill clothes. There wasn’t even a toilet like where the fuck am I suppose to do my business at. I sighed and pulled my knees to my chest only to be startled by a door loudly swinging open and slamming shut.

“Where the fuck is that filthy rogue?” A voice boomed through the silence. I heard someone else mutter to the person. A guy suddenly appeared in front of the cell door. I looked up at him. He was taller than the other guy, had black hair, tattoos all over his arms and crystal blue eyes. God is every guy in the pack intimidating looking. “Why are you in my territory?” His voice broke the silence once again and then it hit me he was the Alpha. I was definitely dead for sure now. I looked away from him and faced the wall. I knew even if I had answered it wasn’t going to do me any good. “Answer me rogue!” He used his Alpha voice on me causing me to finally snap.

“It doesn’t matter what I say, you are just going to kill me anyway.” I screamed at him. I could hear Lilith in the back of my head laughing and smirking. I ignored her and continued to yell at the Alpha “even if I were to tell you it was just an accident and that I was hunting you wouldn’t care because I’m just some filthy rogue like you said.” I didn’t have to look at the Alpha to know he was beyond pissed at me.

“You attacked and nearly killed my Gamma” I knew his wolf was in full control by the way his voice sounded. I didn’t care if I dug myself a bigger hole than I was already in. At least if I died, I wouldn’t have to be struggling with finding food anymore. “You broke his ribs and leg for cry fuckin out loud.”

“Maybe if he didn’t let my dinner run away, I wouldn’t have attacked him” I turned my face back towards him and I knew he couldn’t see me because I was in the darkest part of the cell. “Some Gamma you have anyway. He couldn’t even beat me in a fight, some filthy rogue. If I remember it correctly it was that asshole of a Beta that took me down all because I let my guard down.” I saw his eyes go from blue to gold in an instant. Lilith was smirking and getting excited over this. I stood up and walked over to the cell not caring if he saw me in all my glory. “Why don’t you just open up these doors and kill me already” I looked up at him “or are you too scared of me Alpha” I slowly said the last word and I could have sworn I saw his eyes change to a hazel color for a split second. He slammed his fist on the bars and abruptly left with the door slamming behind him. I walked back to the bench and curled up into a ball letting a few tears spill from my eyes.

I shut Lilith out not wanting to listen to her anymore. I laid there crying my eyes out at the thought of this being the end of my life. I didn’t even get to figure out what had happened to my family and why I became a rogue 9 years ago. There was a slam on the wall next to my cell and someone yelling at me to shut up with the crying. I turn over to face the wall while shivering. I can’t believe they didn’t even have a blanket in here. I cried myself to sleep that night.

I was woken up by the cell door being open and something being thrown at me. When I opened my eyes there was a pair of clothes laying on my lap. I looked towards the cell door and saw the same guy from the woods.

“Put them on” I looked at him with shock. Does he really want me to get dressed in front of him? “It’s not like I haven’t already seen you naked. I am the one that had to carry you down here.” I immediately looked away from him as my face turned red. My mind started to think of the worst. As if he had read my mind, he spoke up again. “Don’t worry I didn’t do anything; I already have a mate” I heard some footsteps. I looked towards him again to see that he had his back towards me. I grabbed the clothes, noticing they were a black tank top and a pair of pink shorts. Of course, they couldn’t give me a bra and underwear to wear. I guess I was going to be going commando. I sighed as I got up and started to put on the shorts. They barely covered all my ass and when I put the tank top on it was tight in my chest area. It showed over half of my cleavage. Whoever these clothes belong to the person is very small. At least the tank top made it look like I was wearing a bra.

I wish there was a mirror in here so we could see how sexy we look.

“Oh, shut up you stupid mutt!” I hadn’t realized I yelled out loud until the beta spoke up.

“I didn’t even say anything rude or annoying, and I’m already being called a mutt.” He let out a disappointed sigh.

“Sorry that was meant for my wolf to hear only” I rubbed the back of my neck feeling embarrassed. “By the way I’m dressed now, so you don’t have to have your back towards me anymore.” He turned around and his eyes were ready to pop out of his skull due to how wide his eyes went. He slapped both of his hands to his face and rubbed them down his face letting out a long-frustrated sigh.

Aww we got him all flustered from the sight of us.

“I’m going to murder her.” He mumbled while I gave him a concerned look. He started to talk to himself while rubbing his forehead. I stared at him as he continued to mumble things. Once he was done talking to himself, he let out a sigh and ran his fingers through his hair. “Come with me.” When I didn’t move, he let out another sigh, “unless you want to stay down here and rot.” I thought about my options for a minute before I started walking towards the cell door. The Beta turned around and began walking towards another door that led to a flight of stairs. We walked up the stairs until we reached a set of doors which the Beta had to unlock. The moment he stepped through the doorway he was attacked by a very petite short woman who had long copper hair put up in a ponytail. He grabbed the door frame in order not to fall from the impact. The women’s arms were wrapped around his neck and her legs around his waist. “Are you trying to kill us by making us fall down these stairs?!?” Once the Beta got his balance, he grabbed the woman’s legs and unwrapped them from him causing her to dangle from his neck.

“Aww you are no fun babe” She let go of him and dropped to the floor. She moved slightly to look at me. “Is she the rogue that sent Niklaus to the hospital?” She pointed towards me while looking up at the Beta. He gave a slight nod of his head and a smile appeared on her face. She moved away from him and quickly came towards me causing me to take a few steps back. Her blue eyes looked me up and down. “Me and you are going to be very good friends.” She grabbed me by my shoulders and did a little jump thingy.

She let go of my shoulders only to grab my right arm and yank me towards the Beta. I tried to keep myself from falling. For a short girl, she is really strong. I looked up at the Beta pleading with my eyes for him to help me. I was not used to people being very happy and energetic. I was used to others trying to kill me over their next meal. The Beta put his arms up in a way of saying that I was on my own. “Let me borrow your credit card so I can take her to go get clothes that will actually fit her.” She gave puppy eyes towards him. “You failed to tell me she was taller and fuller than I am” I now knew who clothes I was wearing.

“Why don’t you ask your brother?” His arms went towards his back packets as if he already knew what her answer was going to be.

“I already tried, and he said no” she crossed her arms and pouted. “Come on babe please” She grabbed his arm and started yanking at it.

“Ugh fine” He pulled out his wallet, opened it and handed her his credit card. She jumped with joy as if she was a kid that just got candy. She was about to say something before he cut her off. “No, you’re not taking my car. I still have yet to get the last dent you put in it out.”

“I already said I was sorry” she pouted again. “Whose car am I going to take then? Blade said I can’t take any of his” Is she really that bad of a driver. The Beta went to a wall that had several different car keys hanging from it. He grabbed a pair and tossed it at her. “Won’t he be mad if I take his?” She gave him a puzzled look.

“It’s not like he can drive it while he is in the hospital and as long as you don’t put a dent in it this time he won’t know” I figured he was talking about that Niklaus guy. The girl grabbed my arm leading me towards the entrance of the building. I realized that I didn't even have a pair of shoes on. I yanked my arm from her grip, and she turned around looking at me in disbelief. “What don't you want clothes that will fit you?”

“It’s not that” I pointed down to my feet. “I don’t have any shoes on” She formed an o with her mouth. She studied my feet for a second until she put up a finger and walked towards what looked like a closet door. She opened the door and bent down grabbing a pair of Vans. She walked back towards me and dropped the Vans right in front of me.

“These should fit you; they are a size 7” I bent down and began to put the vans on. To my surprise they did fit. “Now that we are good with that let's get going” She grabbed my arm again and dragged me out of the entrance doors. She led me to a huge garage. We entered through the side door, she let my arm go and I stood there frozen staring at all the cars and trucks. This pack must be hella rich. The girl began to laugh. “I’m guessing you've never seen this many nice cars before.” I shook my head no. “Well, those belong to my brother Blade” She pointed towards 3 cars and 2 trucks. “These two are my mate Diedrick’s” She hit the hood of a car and truck as she walked by them. “And this is the one we are going to take” She stood in front of a red truck. The hood of the truck itself was almost taller than her. She waved her arm for me to hurry up and get in the truck. I walked over to the truck and opened the door. I struggled for a good minute or two trying to get in the truck while she just laughed at me. I couldn’t understand how she could so easily get in this truck when she is shorter than me. “You will get used to getting in and out of these big trucks in no time.” With that she opened the garage door and began backing the truck out. She slammed on the breaks causing me to almost hit the dashboard. I am definitely wearing a seatbelt with her as the driver. “Oh, yea I never told you my name” She held her hand out as I was hurrying up with putting the seatbelt on. “I’m Lilly” She smiled ear to ear, “what is yours?”

I took her hand in mine and shook a little shake “My name is KJ” She gave me a weird look.

“That’s a weird name for a girl” I was shocked with how straightforward she was.

“Well, the thing is I don’t remember my real name. I woke up one day having no memories and couldn’t even recall my name” I rubbed the back of my neck while I looked out the window “ I came up with the name KJ because I had a necklace on with those letters so I figured it was a nickname of mine.”

“I’m sorry. It must suck to wake up not remembering anything” She grabbed my hand and held it tight. I looked at her face and she gave me a reassuring smile. “If you want I can help you try and remember.” All I could do was smile back at her. She let go of my hand and began to drive down the road again. How is she going to help me remember when I have been trying to for years with no results?

Maybe having another person to help you might do some good.

What if something bad happened that caused me to not remember anything or if I’m supposed to not remember for a reason?

It would still be good to know, and it will help us understand why we are a rogue and have no pack.

I sighed knowing Lilith was right. I went back to staring out the window watching the trees turn into a bunch of buildings. After another 10 minutes of driving in silence, we pulled into the parking lot of a mall. She parked in the back of the lot where there were no cars. “Alrighty time to shop until our arms fall off” She jumped out of the truck and skipped over to the side I was on. As I hoped out of the truck, I saw that it was close to the woods and what seemed like the border of the territory. I could make a run for it right now. “You can try to run but it won’t do you any good.” I turned to Lilly and she had her arms crossed and an evil spark in her eyes. Shivers ran down my spine and I became too scared to even ask her what she meant. “Now let's go get some clothes for you” she yanked me all the way to the main entrance of the mall.

How could someone so small be so scary.
