《Two Doors》Chapter 10. Bruh

Around 10 miles away from Reverse Mountain, a huge storm hits their boat in the dead of night. Aiya tries to fight for control of the boat to no avail. A huge 8-meter tall wave picks the boat up and carries them to the reverse stream, only to slam them into the upward flowing river, knocking Eric out.
Eric wakes up several hours later, floating on a piece of wood. He looks around and starts calling out for Aiya, only to get no reply. He sees a speck in the distance, so he takes an apple out of his storage and eats it. After he’s done, he forms a jetpack and starts heading toward the speck.
He reaches the island in a few minutes and it’s tiny, only a few hundred square feet. Eric lands with a sigh. Then an idea hits him.
He rips the few trees on the island out of the ground and cuts all the bark off them. Then he cuts them into planks and uses rope from his inventory to tie them together. Then he throws the makeshift raft into the ocean and it floats.
Eric laughs maniacally as the boat goes into his storage. He’s about to fly off when he sees a weird banana hanging off the only standing tree. Eric jumps up and rips it off the tree. It's brown with swirls on it.
“It's either rotten or a devil fruit. I think I’m gonna risk it.” He puts it up to his mouth and takes a bite.
Eric gags and almost spits it out, and after chewing it for a bit, he swallows it. He acts on instinct and feels his body transform and grow. Easily reaching 8ft.
Eric walks to the shore and peers into it and the face of a gorilla looks back at him.

“Holy shit!” Eric screams.
He walks up to the only tree left and rips it out of the ground. He cackles evilly as he chucks the tree into the ocean. He notices his armor is still on him, along with his sword.
“Hey, AI?” Eric calls out.
“Yes?” The AI’s voice sounds in Eric's head.
“Can I only eat one devil fruit?” Eric asks.
“Your ability allows you to eat as many as you would like,” The AI explains.
“Oh, that's op.” Eric laughs like an evil scientist.
He takes a compass out of his inventory and forms a jetpack on his back. He launches into the sky and flies east. Every four hours, he pulls his raft out of storage and rests on it before continuing flying.
2 days pass of him doing this, resting, eating, and flying before he eventually sees an island in the distance. As he gets closer, he notices the island is covered in giant round cacti.
“Oh shit, it's that bounty hunter island!” Eric says to himself.
As he flies in, he sees a person with a telescope looking at him. He puts his helmet on to better look at the man and locks eyes with him. The man quickly runs away deeper into the island.
Eric arrives twenty minutes later and starts following the path the man went. After a few minutes of walking, a bunch of men jump out of some bushes and throw a cactus net on Eric.
As soon as the net leaves their hands, they pull their rifles out and start shooting Eric. Eric uses his Ōdachi to slice the net into pieces and dodges the bullets, slashing through the bounty hunters, all in a few seconds.
Eric keeps walking and eventually sees the town. He walks into the town and makes his way to the docks, getting glares along the way. He sees a sign that points him toward the docks.

Eric pulls a map out of his pocket and finds the Sabaody Archipelago. It would take several weeks to get there from Cactus Island. He throws the map into his inventory and is greeted by a hundred guns pointed at him.
“Listen, there's no need to get,” Eric chuckles uneasily.
The crowd fire all at the same time. Eric tries to take to the sky but a cannon on a rooftop shoots a cannon at him, sending him to the ground.
Eric stumbles onto his feet, still under a barrage, and can only take a step before another cannon explodes into his right arm. He hits the ground with a scream as the explosion fractures his arm.
Several people jump onto him, swinging their swords, and Eric is forced into defense. He’s able to counter-attack a few bounty hunters, but he is quickly overwhelmed. Eric is knocked off balance, and a hunter takes advantage to thrust his sword through Eric's lense in his helmet.
The last thing Eric hears is, “Damn, he was strong for only being a one million beli bounty.” Before he reappears in the hallway.
“AI, please save the world I just came from,” Eric says through gritted teeth.
“World 1775683749-83947378-2639649672-1 saved.” A monotone voice says.
A pearl white door appears next to the other one leading to the moon. Eric just mumbles under his breath and approaches the two doors that take him to a random universe.
He opens the right door and sees a medieval army laying siege to a huge castle. He watches as the soldiers on the castle wall poor black tar onto the invading soldiers. He's about to close the door when the AI says something:
“I can sense a large life-form quickly approaching.”
Eric raises his eye-brow and does what it says. A few moments later, a huge dark green dragon swoops down from the sky and land in the middle of the invading army, crushing a few soldiers. It lets out an ear-splitting roar and unleashes fire onto the soldiers, who froze in fear.
The fire sticks to everything it touches and seems extremely hard to extinguish. Eric lets the door swing shut and approaches the left door. A snow blizzard greets Eric when he opens the door.
“AI, what can you tell me about this world?”
“It is an ocean world. I can tell because of the lack of landmass and the size of the life-forms below the ice.”
“How big are the creatures?”
“The nearest life-form is approximately 2,789 feet long and 988 feet wide.”
“WHAT?!” Eric yells as he closes the door.
“If you choose to enter that universe you will die” The AI’s monotone voice rings inside of Eric's head.
“Yeah, I’m gonna go with the dragon.” Eric walks up to the right door and walks through it.
The dragon stops breathing fire and looks at Eric.
“What... are you?” the dragon says as Eric shits his pants.

The Legacy of Eloria
In the world of Aluvriel, legend speaks of the grand city of Eloria that was once lost to the darkness. It was said to contain relics of a lost age that could change reality itself. Many brave souls have searched for Eloria and the wealth, power, and glory that would come with its discovery. After six centuries, Eloria is finally found. However, one thing that the legends never mentioned was the terrible danger lurking within. What will happen when things that were lost are once again brought into the light? These discoveries could be for the good of all, or they could doom the world to eternal ruin. --- Updates will be irregular. Between working a full-time job and attending a full helping of college classes I don't have a lot of time to update. My story will have multiple view point characters. Don't be surprised when view points change, even from the very beginning.

“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
