《On The Run From A Dragon》Day Seven: Part Three
Advertisement
When Tom and Chief got back inside, he floated the rock over to a work station. Leaving it on the floor next to him and looked for some type of cutting tool. After chacking three different tool drawers full of wrenches and found what he was looking for. Before he got to work whit the hammer and chisel, Tom cleaned the stone. All of the dirt on the floor ran over the stone and began to sand it down. Five minutes later, it was smooth glass. Tom poured gravity mana into the chisel and stared the carvings. The magic symbols were glowing over it when a head touched his shoulder. June was smiling down at him.
"I'm going to have to clean your clothes again, also you need to eat."
Getting an evil smile as he said.
"You just want to see me naked again."
Her face flushed and she started to babble.
"I didn't, Ok I did, wait did you say again? I...
Hiding her head under the feathers of her arms and saying.
"I'm just going to stop talking now."
Standing up as he laughed and patting her on the head.
"Come on, lets go into town and get something to eat."
June murmured something he only got part of.
"-told me to."
With a wave of a hand, all the sand and dest from the stone bled off Tom and onto the ground. Before leaving he made a sign and put on top of the stone.
[Do not touch or move!]
[It could explode!]
Reading the sign, June asked.
"Could it?"
Looking at the stone and thinking before saying.
"It is magic, so maybe if they piss it off."
Her head snapped to look at him.
"Piss it off? It's a living thing?"
Shrugging his shoulders.
"It is magic, but there is no life in it. Just a... construct."
Taking a step back from it.
"Ok, that's weird. Lets go get some food."
After they left, one of the works came to look at what Tom was working on. He all most ran into the mess hall, but slowed down when he got inside. Working he's way round the gnomes who were still arguing over the new design. Crouching to whisper in one their ears.
"Kaylee, we have a... Small problem that you may want to look into."
