Chapter 10

Odin waited for Patrick as the mortal read the notification in his view, the puzzlement on his face was clear to the God. He stared longer then what was needed but this was a lot to take in. “What does the class Dreadnought do? And the ability that came with it, what does it mean to be in a righteous rage?”

Odin didn’t respond to Patrick right away, instead, he asked the mortal before him a question. “Let me ask you this? Would me explaining to you how to feel make sense or would the feelings you have experienced help lead you to understanding what it means to be in a righteous rage? The feelings you have mean more than what my point of view does.” The God looked at the killer as he stood frozen in place, the hands were strangling the poor child before him. “I believe our talk has gone on long enough, the moment of truth is before you. All you have to do is meat it head on.” He swung his hand over Patrick casting runes to appear around him, who didn’t move the entire time the world stood still.

“Make me proud! And remember, this isn’t the end!” He smacked his hands together making a loud bang splitting the dazzling multicolor world apart, sending Patrick back to the present.

Patrick was in the world with the god one minuet then the next he was back to witnessing his son die in front of him. The sound of wet bone being crushed was a heart disparaging sound to him as he watched his boy Henry die all over again. The feeling of hate and rage filled his heart at the sight of this, the times he felt helpless and lung tearring pressure from dying so many times made it feel like it would never end. The ability all fathers rage light up in the corner of his sight, kicking in the boost to all of his stats. The ability he got from Odin raged through his veins, igniting a fire of adrenaline in him which the likes he has never felt before.

The power he felt was something he could only describe as being a god, he took the time to look over his status checking to see where they stood. The speed he had rose well above anyone at level zero should have and only took him milliseconds to look them over. The ability ran off his Mp so it gave him a little less than an hour and half to kill this son of a bitch. His stats where all well above 500 in all of the categories, so this was something that should be fast. I don’t want this to be fast, I want to enjoy this Patrick thought.

The killer sensing something was wrong, spun to Patrick whipping his chain in a speedy attack. Patrick caught the chain in his hands and pulled brining the killer to him in an instant. The killer was moving in slow motion for Patrick, his attack and stance seemed to barely move as he stood holding the chain.

“This ends now!” The shout left his mouth as he took up a wide stance, heaved on the chain he swung it around in a blind rage flinging the man in a circle. At the apex of the swing, he let go chucking the man in chains right toward the town hall tearing a gap straight through the structure sending out wood and debris. Patrick wasn’t done there, he shot to the man in an instance. The sight of it was as if he teleported there, the killer must have felt the same way because he too stepped out into the realm which he resided in.

“Oh no you don’t!” Patrick grabbed ahold of the killer by the arm and pulled him back. The force he put into it was enough for the man to have his arm torn off and throwing him back across the dirt. Blood sprayed over Patrick’s face as he held onto the now severed arm, the killer looked at the injury as if confused at what he saw as he laid there.

“There is no escape from here, the pain and misery you had put us through can not be atoned for this little.” He kicked off away from the man, “Come, show me what you got.” Patrick stood waiting for the first move to be made. The killer’s wound stopped pouring out, the injury must be healing faster than what he or the other town members could do. This was one of the theories they had but could never injure him enough to see if it were true.

The man in chains charged to him stepping into the mist and vanishing from sight. Patrick looked around until he spotted him appearing behind him. He turned and threw out a fist smashing the man in the face, the blow nocked him back to the packed ground sending out dust. The killer got up in an instance swinging out with his good arm bringing the chain down on Patrick. He side stepped to him while the killer was in mid swing and kicked down to the left knee. The sound of the bone being smashed was audible to Patrick as he followed it up with a combo of fist and kicks. The air rippled as he landed blows making them look hazy, the impact of the hits was defining to the few remaining towns people. The final blow was a kick to the mid-section of the killer throwing him back across town. Patrick stepped back to him catching the man in chains on the third bounce, holding him there while he stared at the man in a death grip.

“This is for my wife!” He smashed the man into the dirt in the choke hold he had him in, making the killer take a sharp inbreath of air. “This is for my sons!” He took ahold of the other arm and tore it off as well, as he held him in the grapple the killer was placed in. “And this, this if for the town of Waterbrook!” With his free hand, he started to pound his fist into the face of the man. Blood sprayed out, gushing as he kept going. The few seconds left of the killer was held in a torrent of pain as Patrick continued, never easing up.

“Patrick, I think that’s enough. His head is caved in, I don’t think he will be getting back up from that any time soon.” His wife was holding him by the arm, When did she get there? Patrick asked himself.

“I just don’t wont him getting back up. Please let go, let me do this. I’ll stop when the buffs wear off.” That was the end of the 25th year of the killer.

The reset happened and the town was back to life, Patrick gathered up everyone before there could be any accidents that occurred. The men and women that guarded in the south and his son Jacob, was sent for. They found that if one slept before the reset happen in a place they considered their home then that was where they would come back waking up at. Some of the folk tried to do so in the woods but it wasn’t close enough to feel like home to them.

The town was soon filled and most of the shop owners had come to the center of town where Patrick stood with the plans he was coming up with. It was for turning the town into a proper fortress. The black smith and the carpenter, the leather worker and the stone mason joined him there going over the plans. They made additions to the schematic and the removed the unneeded building blocks he wasn’t sure if they should be there or not. The town soon scattered into a work force, men, women and children that could work did so as quickly as they could.

Zayne came to in the hall of the mad goddess, she sat on her throne looking at him critically as he laid there. “You were doing so good for these past few years. I never expected for another god to show up, how unfortunate for you.” She stood up, walking to him in her goddess form. She towered over Zayne as she continued, “I thought on how to punish you and the threat of locking you up is still on the table. But, that wouldn’t teach you about how far you have failed me.”

Achlys stopped speaking and made a motion with her hand. “The girl I have been tormenting for the last couple of decade has finally seen reason on what I was saying, or for the most part. She shouldn’t hold that big of a grudge against you but one could never know.” The dark door she had showed him so many years ago came to with the forming of the mist. The sinister door was as black as Zayne remembered; the door slowly opened making a very pale women appear. “This is my new prophet, and she has agreed to help you with your endeavors.”

The lady who Zayne had thrown into the mist all those years ago looked completely different then what she looked like back then. Sara’s face was sculpted with an elven grace, higher cheek bones and straighter features. Her green eyes, Zayne didn't notice before, glowed in the haze around her. She had her hair braided in an elaborate style, the braids went from her temples to the back of her head. Her hair that was orange, now was a bloody red. The skin she had was pale from being locked up for decades, made the redness even more apparent. The clothing she wore was a gown of blackness, showing the curves she had some how manage to make more inviting. It was in a v shape at her chest, showing it off. The sides of her gown at her legs were split all the way up Sara’s waist.

“I might have made a few adjustments here and there but that’s all.” Achlys purred as she looked Sara over.

Sara looked to the mad being in front of her and stood deathly still, her eyes spoke of terror. She didn’t respond to anything as Zayne continued to stare. “She will watch over you, making sure that you stay in line. Treat my new pet well or there will be a worse punishment then this.” She started to head back to her throne.

Foulness spoke up, “How is this a punishment? You are sending us with this beauty, where is the pain and the torment”. Achlys froze in place, turning slowly she smiled and did a quick wink. Sara couldn’t hear what foulness said but she was unaffected by what the goddess did.

“You will soon see” was all that she said as the mist washed over Zayne and Sara. The sound of the mad cackling reverberated through the mist as Zayne found himself in the same spot he always did. The start of the tutorial.

Over the years, Zayne had grown from the whole start of the test. Some where he gained enough skill level in his supernatural healing that it no longer let him age. He was stuck at the age of 27, but the rest of his body continued to grow. His hair was all the way down to his thighs, his nails were like claws on him. The chains were still in his wrist as his muscle continued to swell. He had the look of a small body builder; he was just under 230 pounds of muscle. This was what his status sheet looked like now.

The sound of the lady he was saddled up with shook him out of his daydream at what he would do to the fucker that had killed him. The voice of the girl was small and bashful but didn’t stop her form trying to get his attention. “Is she still watching us? I NEED TO KNOW!” Well, maybe bashful wasn’t the right word for it. Maybe resentful or angry. Definitely angry. “Is this back at Valferd? Am I home!?” she took up a defensive stance as she looked to him for answers. The sound of the mad goddess ranged out after the long pause.

“He doesn’t talk sweetie, and yes I’m still watching you. I didn’t think you would resort back to trying to escape. We talked about this and you assured me that you had no intention on returning home.” The window to the mist realm was small, about two feet in length and width, as Achlys talked to the women.

“Maybe we should bring you back to the room you are so well acquainted to.” The mad goddess made to reach out to Sara but she backed up too quickly stuttering out, “N-n-no, I’m f-f-fine. I’ll b-b-be g-g-good I swear.” She backed up into Zayne clutching on to him for dear life. Zayne didn’t have any inkling of what was going on just simply watched at the interaction. Normally he would have killed the bitch but it was best not to get on Achlys’ bad side.

“Good, now I know you can’t understand what he is thinking, and he doesn’t speak but there is a way for you to interpret what is going on in his mind. Take this orb and hold onto it from now on, it will allow you to hear what goes on in that head of his. It’s a two-way street, so anything your thinking he will be able to listen to as well. I want my chosen and prophet to get along.” The goddess pulled out an orb covered in mist from thin air, handing it over to Sara. She took it with trembling hands from the goddess, as she stepped away from Achlys, the goddess grabbed ahold of Sara’s arm and pulled her in close.

“I know you won’t listen to me so I’m telling you now, go to the town. See what they truly think of you, and when I’m right take the mantle like I know you will. Zayne, show her the town. Make sure that she doesn’t get hurt before she agrees to what I offered.” The portal closed as Achlys laughed and they were left there alone in silence.

“Well, that wasn’t ominous at all.” Foulness said. The sudden voice in Sara’s head shocker her out of the melancholy thoughts she had. She spun around to look at the placated Zayne listening if it was him that said it. I thought she said he couldn’t speak. Sara thought.

“No, that wasn’t grumpy over here. That was the asshole Foulness. He tends to have a facetious mind. Truthfully, it feels like I’m the only one with the conscious around here. The name is Jiminy, and it is a pleasure to me you.” The abnormal voices in Sara’s head were never this talkative, nor did they have a personality. Most of the time it was just her telling herself that she wasn’t worthy of going back home. That she was the one that killed her mother. She already knew all of that and had been in a state of self-loathing all these years she’s been away. But this was something she has never experienced before.

Maybe its from the shock of being back that's making me imag- “Nope, didn’t you hear what that bitch of a goddess said? The orb is the cause of this. You think she would listen to Achlys after spending all those years in the dark.” The mention of the dark place sent Sara back into the state of panic.

The ability -split personality- flashed across her view but she didn’t notice it. Sara fell to the ground dry heaving, the pain in her head came to a breaking point as she started to scream out. “Well…this is awkward.” Foulness said as the three observed the lady freaking out in front of them. At the end of the scream, she started to laugh maniacally as she spasmed on the forest floor.

“Do you think that we should help her?” Jiminy asked

“No, lets see where this will take us.” Foulness said.

Sara was trapped in the dark room for how long, she couldn’t tell. It felt like an eternity to her and the only company she had was the being that locked her up, Achlys. She was resentful to the killer for dragging her into the goddess realm but that hatred was soon directed at the mad deity. Through the first few days, Sara had remained strong and denied the bitch but that soon ended when she stopped playing nice. The torment she was put through only increased as the days turned to weeks and the weeks into months. Achlys found new ways to torcher Sara that were emotional and mentally scaring. She would sometimes come to save her as Sara’s father, sparking the little hope she had then take it all away. Achlys would tell her she wasn’t worthy of being saved. Other times it was Brock and his boys that would show to save her, only to take turns with her among themselves. Through all of these life crushing acts, she stared to develop an ability called split personality. This was what Sara had happening to her right now.

The mere mentioning of the dark room made all the fear and pain she went through come back, it sent her into a spiral of these emotions making the other personality come out. The person still kept the name Sara but it was as far away from who she truly was as one could get. This one was more amendable to the goddess and had come to with the sole purpose of appeasing the deity. She was, as mad as the goddess herself.

“Oh, who might you be, wait. Don’t tell me, its starting to come back to me. Zayne, right?” Sara got off the forest floor taking up a pose of a dancer. She was elegant and carful with how she did it leaving Zayne and the two voices speechless.

“I must apologize for how I treated you the last time we met, though you could say that this is the first time we have.” She made a deep bow with one leg straight and the other bending behind her in an odd crusty.

Foulness was the first to try and speak but was cut off by Jiminy, “How the fu-”

“Fundamentals are important in taking such a beautiful pose, how long have you been dancing? You must have spent a long time on learning such an astute art. I’ve told you once before but ill tell you again. This is Zayne, the person who we voices are in, I’m Jiminy and the arse of a voice is Foulness. I am pleased to make you’re acquaintance.”

The voices were polite and that suited Sara just fine. She took the time to look the man name Zayne over and found that he was the very same man that took her to me her fairy god mother. “I must say, I am happy to meat the man that lead me to my most wonderful godmother. If you would be so kind and lead me back home, I would like to tell my father and friends all about the beautiful world in which she resides in.”

The man named Zayne stayed still before he moved to lead her back to the town of Waterbrook. On the way, they came across a few birds and squirrels that danced around her as they walked. Sara, being the ever kind person she was, took the time to help the poor animals. She took the nearby berries and nuts she could find and fed them to the creatures as she walked with Zayne. She didn’t mind taking it slow as they went, I don’t want to be impolite to anyone or thing Sara thought. That was the mind set she had grown accustomed to, or at least most of it.

The day was slowly passing by as the trip took longer than what it was previously thought of. Soon after the sun had started to settle on the horizon, Sara found she could make out a little of the town and the construction that was being built. They were on the outskirts of the northern part, overlooking the new and improved wall. She wasn’t here for a while and had never seen the wall being built, “Wow, is that a wall? How long do you think it took them to build that! Do you think we could get a closer look at it?” Sara turned to Zayne as she asked the question that was on the tip of her tongue.

Zayne looked up at the sky in the cover of the trees as he judged how long it would be for him to comfortably leave the forest. Sara picked up on what was weighing him down and jumped at the first opportunity to show the killer kindness. “Oh, that’s fine. I can wait for a few more minutes.” She made a soft seat out of leaf’s she found and put them together as she waited for the stars to come out.

“Do you think my father will be happy to see me again?” She asked as the night was slowly growing. The lights in town were being lit and she could make out guards being posted along the wall. I wonder if they would be angry with me for spending time with Zayne. He’s not bad, just a little confused. The thought she had lead to more questions about what has happened over the years she’s been gone. If they give him a chance I just know they will come to like him, this side of Sara assumed that everyone was her friend.

The night was now apparent, Zayne lead Sara to where her father usually slept, the town hall. Zayne took note of where everyone slept that way he knew who and when to kill the town. Sure, every now and then he would mix it up and see the place freak while he had a good laugh to himself. The town hall was always guarded, Sara crouched down with Zayne as he took a few stones off the ground and threw them out across the street. The noise of stones made the men turn to where they were thrown and inspect the area, he didn’t use this often but figured that it was easier than killing them. He wanted to kill that farmer first before anyone else.

Sara snuck in as Zayne kept watch, he would signal her if she needed to leave. Sara didn’t really like the idea of leaving her father but her fairy godmother expectedly said that she was to babysit Zayne and not leave his side for anything. This was something important and figured that it wouldn’t hurt to see her dad before she agreed with Achlys.

She went in through the window, it was barbed with spikes but Zayne bent them for her to squeeze pass. Walking softly, Sara went to the office; the room was 10 by 10, large enough for all the towns elders to meet. Now it was where her father slept, beds with numerous children in them laid in the center of the room. She would wake him up and tell the great news of her and the place she stayed. He would be so happy to see Sara that he would get the rest of town to join her and the lovely fairy.

Sara began to open the door when she heard a muffle of a gasp. She peered through to see what it was, as she looked Sara found her father with some one else. This didn’t entirely bother her so she opened the door wide walking in, “Dad? Are you in here, It’s me Sara. I wanted to-” she said in a quiet voice, trying not to wake up the sleeping children in the other room. The couple that was in the bed was indeed her father with Cindy, the General store owner’s wife.

He father turned around in a hurry, “Sara! I thought you-” Wilkinson stopped talking when he seen the sight of his daughters face. It sounded like his Sara but when he looked at the face and the clothing she had on it was anything other than his daughter.

“Who the hell ARE you!” He left Cindy’s side on the bed and reached over for the short spear he had lying next to him. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY LITTLE GIRL!” He jumped out of bed waving the spear around menacingly, “Where is my Sara demon! I swear when I get ahold of you I will ring it out of your dead body!”

Sara had stayed quiet throughout the length of her fathers…what ever it was. “Dad, it’s Sara. I’ve come back to-” the thrust of the spear caught her off guard before she could tell him where she was and what happened. Blood blossomed in her mid-section making the garment she wore sticky with the substance. She wore a pained expression on her face as she stared at her father, the hurt and pain she felt from him not even bothering to listen to her was deafening, she struggled to stand with the thing stinging in her. Sara’s head began to hurt as if felt that it was going to crack.

Zayne smell blood in the air and popped out of the mist standing behind her, he went to move towards Wilkinson but Sara put her arm out stopping him from advancing. “I’ve been gone for years,…I haven’t seen anyone but a mad goddess in that span of time. Now,…I come to see you and, and you do THIS!” The throbbing in her head was at a crescendo as pain lanced its way through her body.

The split personality was rapidly leveling up well past the norm hitting 50, 60, and onwards to the point that it hit one hundred (100). The System message ranged in Sara’s ears, “Level up, level up, lev, lev,l,l,- LEVEL UP! You’re skill -Split Personality- has hit level 100. The skill -Split Personality- has evolved into - Dissociative Identity-, the original Sara is being merged with kind Sara and Psychotic Sara. Kind Sara and Psychotic Sara are too dominant, congratulation…Yandere Sara has appeared,. Looking for suitable target. Matched found, Zayne. Processing…perk awarded; cures has been caught. Perk, lover’s intuition has been given. Cures, Stockholm’s syndrome has bee placed.

The orb Sara was holding in the pocket of her dress fell out, as it fell the faint sound of laughter could be heard as the orb shattered to pieces. Sara took hold of the spear that was in her gut and pulled it out as her father looked wildly at the killer behind her. “That wasn’t very nice, you could have seriously hurt me.”

She seen the look in the man’s eye and craned her neck to the side so she could look behind her. Zayne was standing there making her heart leapt at the sight of him, she looked down as she felt her cheeks burn from the embarrassment she was showing him. When she looked down and seen the blood from her wound dirtying his feet the rage burst in her like an explosion, she spun back to the man that use to be her father.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!” Sara pushed the short spear in her hand making the end of it hit the solar plex of her dad, he let go of the thing as he clutched his stomach. Now that the spear was free Sara spun the thing in her hand bringing the point away from her and at Wilkinson, she jammed the thing into his neck making him gasp in pain. She pulled it free then started to rapidly thrust it in the dying man before her, blood sprayed out in gushes as she didn’t let up. The woman Cindy, made for the door but Sara was a tad bit quicker. She hefted the spear up in a throwing stance and unleashed the deadly stick at the runaway. The point connected at the knee making Cindy fall, the remains of her father was covering the floor making it slippery.

Sara rushed over to the fallen women and started to strangle her, “See, she’s doing it right! Why cant you do it like that instead of crushing their skulls? Because you have no style.” Foulness did a commentary as Sara choked the air out of Cindy, the conversation ran for a little while as she finished up.

After she was done, Sara made her way over to Zayne. Everything was the same appearance wise but her eyes had changed colors. They used to be green but now was pink that flickered around the irises. “Thank goodness your fine, I was worried that you might have gotten hurt. Don’t worry anymore, I’m here to protect you.

The world of Galaria was going though some tough times, what with the recent humans building weapons that they have never seen before. The railgun cannon that human built caused such devastation like in the which the world of Galaria has never witness. The feed Mr. Fipples was watching in the office of the executive CEO, who was in charge of overseeing the population of humans be placed on the world, was currently getting his ass reamed. “Now let me get this straight from you one more time, you seen the classes that were coming out and didn’t think to run a check on Earthen history to find out if this was something that would devastate Galaria? Nor did you report the classes for further inspection to the I.T. sec. I don’t care what you have to say, this is way past unacceptable. YOURE FIRED! If I so much as see any other mistakes you made, you can bet your sugar ass that I’ll have you sent to the world as a level 1 fairy with the next human repop we have. Get the fuck out of my office!” Mr. Fipples flew out as fast as he could. Thank the System Sixal sent that thing over to the I.T. sect where he can hide it for the rest of eternity! He thought as he flew off to the next place to get his ass chewed. The next repop was scheduled about 250 sun cycles for that planet. Plenty of time to heal the damage the last batch of humans had left on Galaria.
