When Ming Li's consciousness entered the world within the book, he stared at the vast space covered in different plants and trees. The plane seems to have no end and extended infinitely. Even though the place was rich in natural herbs, no monster can be seen on the area, which made it resemble a paradise. On a nearby area, one can see an open circular space with only a single shining flower at the very center of it. The glow of it was extremely bright, but Ming Li can clearly see the flower even with the blinding light from the plant. Looking at the flower with its strange glow, Ming Li approached it. He then unconsciously stretched his hand as if the flower was guiding him to touch it. When the tip of his fingers touched the flower, it emitted a blinding glow, and a small seed floated out of the flower causing all the flowers in the surrounding to sway like they were overjoyed by something. The trees even started to sway, then next the grasses and until every sort of plant existing in the space appeared to be delighted. Ming Li was dumbfounded for some time. He cannot comprehend everything that was happening and he always had this feeling that his body was acting on its own touching stuff in this unknown land. He thought for a while and asked himself. "Is this some sort of trial? I heard when comprehending some arts a trial will be given." After giving it some thought, he gave up since he wont know a thing if he didn't do anything. He quickly grabbed the seed and felt unbelievable amount of information flowing through his head. He experienced extreme pain while all the information passed though his consciousness. "So painful! Is this the trial to learn this art? I'm loosing consciousness! No! This pain is nothing. This is just a plant art. I should pass this simple test if I want to learn stronger arts" He thought while gritting his teeth. The information flow did not stop and the pain he felt continued to grow. He realized that all this information are characteristics of different plants used for medicine, and that he needed to memorize as much as he can from this sea of information. He focused on the information, and every piece of information he understood got imprinted in his soul. He gritted his teeth and continued with the process while withstanding the pain. ... Meanwhile on the hut, Ming Li could be seen sweating tremendously. Chao shi sat crossed leg while observing him. It was already an hour since Ming Li started to read the book and his clothes are already drenched in sweat. Chao Shi smiled and stood up, as he stood up, he waved his hand and some sort of invisible barrier appeared around Ming Li surrounding him at every direction. Then the old man knocked on the the door of the hut and said "Xi Fan I have finished the medicine. We can now start the treatment of your young lady." Xi Fan opened the door and said "Senior Chao my young lady is awake, you can see her now." Chao Shi smiled and went to the girl. He pointed his fingers near the pulse in her hand, but he did not touch her. "Young girl, Is it alright to start the treatment now?" The young girl slightly nodded and stared at the Chao Shi, Chao Shi then channeled his energy on the girls body through her pulse. The girl did not resist the slightest, and her face did not have any change in expression. She just quietly stared straight at Chao Shi as if she can see his very soul. The girl never said a word since they met, but her gazes were so mysterious which seemed like one look from her will make her understand everything before her. Living for so long and meeting countless people, It is the first time Chao Shi met someone like this little girl. Chao Shi slowly transmitted energy to fix all damaged organs of the girl. Since the devil soul venom which is extremely rare and undetectable type of poison will corrupt the soul of the individual who is affected. It will also slowly deteriorate the soul weakening the body's organs. It will appear to be like a normal illness which just damages the organs and veins of the body until the victims die without knowing the actual cause of death. "This poison should not exist on this plane but why is it here? This girls background must be extraordinary" Thought Chao Shi. After three hours, he finished restoring the organs of the girl. The girls face showed a bit of amazement. For her organs to be healed at a mere three hours was almost a miracle, since she knew how bad her condition was. Even Xi Fan was shocked when Chao shi said "her organs are all now back to normal but the poison is still there and it will damage her organs again" Even the best doctors they knew would take several days to heal all the damaged organs, but this random old man healed it in a mere three hours! "Just who is this genius" thought Xi Fan "Little girl consume this pill. It will get rid of the poison on your body and nourish your soul. After three days the poison will be gone and your soul and body will slowly recover. The little girl consumed the pill without asking anything. Then she closed her eyes to stabilize the pill's effect. ... Inside the vast space, Ming Li is still struggling on the test. During the the test he tried to memorize everything entering in his mind, but gradually he felt extreme exhaustion due to mental strain of imprinting everything on his soul. His eyes were bloodshot and his thought as a mess. He felt as if his his head will explode and his soul will shatter. After five hours, a flash appeared in his eyes and he said "So that's how it is. Since i can't get it all. I'll focus on the basics and use it as foundation and work things out from there." He then closed his eyes and focused on the information coming into him. He tried to pinpoint everything regarding the basics and disregarded any complex information. The morning came and Ming Li suddenly opened his eyes, his eyes were clear as crystals and one can clearly see great wisdom from it. Behind him he heard a voice saying "Good... good... So you got something from the book." He looked behind him and there he saw Chao Shi. He nodded and said "I haven't paid my previous debt and now I owe you another one." "Let's put what you learned to use and head to the village." Chao Shi said. While they were talking, the man and the girl walked out the door and seems like prepared to leave. "Senior we are deeply grateful for everything but we need to part ways now. I wish I could spend more time to repay you, but i believe you already know that we are being chased and we do not wish that senior gets in trouble by helping us." After Xi Fan finished speaking, the girl stepped forward and opened her small tender lips and asked "Senior is he your disciple?" the little girls voice was lovely as an angel, which reached Ming Li's ears. Chao Shi answered "he is not exactly my disciple, but he now possess the same art as me. The little girl then walked to Ming Li and stared at him.

Although, I hope you enjoy! I'll probably write around 2000 words or more per chapter, but on average a bit more. If you're wondering, the cover art is drawn by me, just in case you thought I wasn't giving credit to the creator. This story might often times lean more into the comedy side of things, but stuff can still get pretty serious at times, especially in the later chapters. The story isn't super dark or anything, but character death is of course going to be a thing. Who? Well, you'll find out, eventually. Also, I'll upload chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy reading this little hobby of mine!
