《Blue mage》Chapter 9: Without my laser

How had he done that? Elizabeth thought as she watched the corpse of Big Mac get dragged off the arena. I've never seen tech like that or someone like him? Again she was stumped on what kind of tech this 'Jace' was using. She had never heard of an enlarging tech but she had heard about a fire breath module. It was awful unless you had a fireproof mouth as it would burn everything.
The more she thought about it the more confused she got. She would have definitely heard about someone this strong or at least someone who could make that kind of tech. And where did those scales on his arms and legs, no it was all over his body, come from? When the light hit them right you could see the light reflect. Or at least she could with her enhanced eyes.
She had never seen something with that kind of power too. Though she had never been to one of the ruler tournaments, where the ruling class dukes it out for more land or whatever they needed. She had heard stories of near-invincible super-humans or the king who personally wiped a town from existence. But these were just stories right?
She used to have a hard time believing that but now it was hard not to. Seeing that large-scaled man just taking hitting she had personally seen obliterate a level 23 protector with two uncommon energy shields and one rare sound shield, it was mind-bogglingly insane. How could there be a human that durable even with tech upgrades?
She didn't know now but she was going to find out. If he actually won.

I was feeling pretty good right now given how I only lost 200 health which was already slowly filling back up. My broken ribs were slowly fixing themselves selfs and only hurt like hell when I moved or breathed. So in short was ready to take on the world, right until the announcer opened their mouth.

"Well, it seems like our little challenger was more prepared than we thought!" The audience boos. "It seems like they might need a handicap!" The last word incites the crowd to no end as their screams fill the air. I start to sweat.
"For the rest of their fights, let's make them work for their victories by taking away their strongest skill, Breath of the Wyvern(Epic)!"
The roars that came from the audience will most likely haunt me forever as I realize that I might actually die. Then the air is sucked out of my lungs as I feel the skill being, not taken, but sealed. I still have the skill but can no longer use it. This is going to be a really hard fight. Hopefully, I can rest in between.
"And for the next combatant, we have the one the only WARSAW!" The crowd somehow gets louder to the point that my ears start to hurt. They kept chanting 'warsaw' I can only imagine that whatever happens, it won't be fun.
Then a similar figure to Big Mac steps out into the arena only they look more condensed. As if someone took a much larger person and compressed them down. It was a very worrying sight.
Rather than showboat around like Big Mac, Warsaw just jumps right into the fight as the announcer calls for the start. Without my laser beam, I was feeling quite weak. I did remember my claws but it seemed ineffective in comparison but it would have to do.
Jumping at the 32-foot tall man I start to do what I think I was supposed to since I got my claws. I fight like a monster. No one big powerful gets out of jail card, just putting everything on the table and giving it my all.

I don't get the first hit in as Warsaw dives on top of me, trying to get me into a pin. I respond by struggling immensely and using my webs in any way I can. My webs wrap around his neck and I pull forcing him to deal with said webs or be asphyxiated. He responds by suddenly combusting, burning away my webs. Of course, fire was their weakness. The flames only harmlessly lick at my scales not doing anything, even to my eyes.
Not letting the small time it took him to combust go, I jam my thumb into his right eye. I had hoped it would penetrate into his skull but no luck. My claw scrapes at the back of his orbital socket, only scratching it. Warsaw screams in pain before stumbling off me.
Standing up I don't square my shoulders and instead tackle him back to the ground this time sinking my teeth into his neck before ripping off a big chunk. For my trouble, I get a solid punch to the face that sends me spinning. By all normal means, I should have won the fight there but this fight was not normal. I then found out why he was called Warsaw.
Warsaw proceeds to use a new skill, I had never seen something like it before. The skill conjured a spectral saw over his left hand making it look like his hand had swapped for a saw. It well could have for all I know.
Warsaw then flips us over and sits on top of me and then lays into me with said saw, with it catching my left arm. The saw quickly digging into my scales as I struggle to get him to stop. At this point, I was more focused on not losing a limb rather than winning this fight quickly.
As the saw starts to dig into my muscle I give up on defense and start to punch him in the face over and over. His face slowly gives way to my fist right as his saw hits bone. I scream in pain and try to jerk away only for this iron grip to keep me where I was.
I then do the only thing I can think of, I keep punching Warsaw in the face. The pain from the saw slowly ripping through my bone awakens something deep inside of me, my instincts finally flare-up.
I stop punching and instead start to claw out his other eye before ripping into his face with abandon. Warsaw can't help but scream as his face gets turned into mincemeat and pulls his saw hand away swapping it back and using both hands to rip my hand off his face.
I take advantage of this by rolling out from underneath him and using my feet like a spring, launching myself at his neck, ripping his throat and jugular out.
Rather than spitting out the meat I swallow it and revel in the taste of a defeated foe. I hold my arm in position as it slowly reaches itself. For once the crowd is silent.
