'To be a hero, enroll here!!!' Alan read the sign outside his school cynically.

See, with gifts, people's wildest dreams could be realized.

Well, at least some people's dreams... He thought to himself as he looked at his status window.

See, ever since the Reality merging 2000 years ago, Earth 1 and 2 became what humanity calls the 'Order of Humanity'.

So much has happened besides sentient races gaining status screens.

Broken up into 39 Chanceries, each governed by a Chancellor, it was truly a monster of both universes. With the influx of gifts, the impossible became possible. Immortals, aliens, demi-humans, all discovered from the technological, and more importantly, magical advances. With the insane speed of human development and reproduction, they quickly became the rulers of the universes.

However, they were predominated by human superiorists who quickly brainwashed the rest into a disdainful approach to other lifeforms. This caused Alan's life on Pluto, a dwarf planet in the Earth 1's universe, to be filled with tribulation. Because he was a half-breed. His father was a good for nothing human and his mother was a slave from Earth 2's universe. She was what Earth 1 would call an elf apparently. Unlike in the storybooks, Half-Elves weren't blessed with popularity or good looks. He was just average. Actually, he was worse than average, he was gift-less.

"Move out of the way Pointy!" One of the highschoolers yelled out as they raced up behind Alan, waking him from his musings.

"One day... One day..." Alan muttered as he jumped out of the way of some kids using their gifts to skate across the icy snow-covered courtyard of Winter's Heart High, the school where he suffered daily. his only life-line was imagining killing all the people who yell at him, mock him, hate him, and even the ones who just keep staring at him with ridicule.

Why did the pointed ears he has made him so dislikeable?

What did humans have that made them so amazing?

All they can do is reproduce like maggots!!! He screamed mentally as he walked into the building.

He hungered for equality, but was given ridicule to starve on.

He thirsted for friendship, but was made to die from dehydration by neglection.

He craved a normal life, but was denied it time and time again.

I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS!!!!! He kept screaming in his head as he sat down in his classroom. Preparing for another day of painful mockery.

But what could a gift-less do to escape the torment?

Nothing.

The gods laugh at his pain, they ignore his prayers, they live in eternal contempt for this existence they created to be laughed at.

The sickness... The sickness is everyone, from the smallest human all the way to the gods. The should be purged. They should be given the pain they have given me... The powers they have granted and the ones they own should be stolen. Taken. He thought as the hours passed by, as the mockery continued, as the pain never stopped.

But something was changing, a darkness was growing, and it was calling out to something. Someone.

After school, Alan walked down the cold road, his breath making a steamy wave in front of his face. He stared up at the darkening sky of Pluto, his specialty thermal enhanced coat barely holding back the terrifying winter weather of pluto's second winter season. All he could see was The Sun, a tiny speck in the blackening sky.

He hated the Sun, he hated Earth 1, he hated Earth 2, he hated everything. Except for his mother.

In a strange way, he didn't hate the one who inadvertently was the cause of his hell. But then again, she was the only one who didn't look at him like he was the scum of the earth. She had always welcomed him home with a hug. She never complained about being a slave, she never complained when the man who owned them, Alan would never call him dad, beat her. She never got angry or upset, she was always strong for Alan. She was the one who convinced that man to let him go to school, albeit at a painful price for her. She was Alan's only friend.

However, Alan was too weak to protect her from their owner when he was in a bad mood, so Alan could only watch as she was thrown around the room during that man's tantrums.

The darkness inside Alan grew as he kept trudging through the snow to get to their house. The cold winter wind whipping and screeching around him as he walked steadily forward.

This walk home from school was what he liked to call his crucible, the fire that made him stronger. Because to him, through his winter thermal enhanced gear, it was terrifyingly cold. His clothes were worn out and ancient, basically useless to the cold that was gnawing on his very bones. He was also without a gift that could help him, so he was forced to walk slowly through the icy weather of Pluto.

As he almost collapsed from cold he finally made it to the gate of the house called home, that was more like a prison than any home he ever heard of.

He walked up the stairs, the cold making his fingers barely movable. He reached the door and hesitated. He wanted to run, to die, to fight, to cry, anything but go inside that den of pain.

To paint a picture, This house he lived in was owned by a middle-class family, there was the father, the mother, the two sons and the daughter. Then, Last and least, the slaves. He was a slave, but was allowed to attend school and try to find a place in life since he was only half a slave... And because his mother did favors for the father.

But no matter how much he wanted to run he couldn't, because his mother would suffer the consequences... So he opened the door and entered the house.

As he walked in he heard a scream.

He recognized that voice! Shouting loudly he rushed up the stairs. "MOMMMM!!!"

When he reached the second floor he heard the scream again, this time it was coming from the guest room. Rushing in, he saw a scene that would change him forever.

His mother, the one who loved and cared for him, laying in a puddle of her blood, burn marks and cuts all over her body with the wife of the man standing over her, her face a twisted mess of rage and a fireball, her gift, in her hand. In the few seconds Alan stood in horror at the sight, he realized what had happened. The wife of that man had found out what his mother had done so he could have a chance at a better life and she wanted revenge. So, while the kids were at school and her husband at work she attacked the servant who's gift was but to make water boil, his mother was basically gift-less. and now she was attacked and fatally wounded.

"Oh its the piglet." The wife of that man said as she turned around, an evil glint in her eyes. "You'll be next after I kill this slut heheheh."

Throwing a fireball at Alan she turned back around. Alan, who was still in shock couldn't move and was struck in the chest by the fireball.

A whooshing noise was all he could hear as the fire crawled around his body while the impact flung him against the wall.

"I WANT TO KILL THEM ALL!!!!" He shouted, almost going mad from the pain emotional pain of seeing his mother tortured and the physical pain of being burned and thrown against the wall.

If you let me in, I will give you what you want.

As a blue screen popped up, Alan was too shocked and wounded to speak, so he could only mentally scream.

YES GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!

Heheh alright kid, but let me warn you, you are gonna have to kill every single gifted person...

YES I ACCEPT!!!

I thought you'd say that.

Here you go, accept my gift for you.
