PHASE 58 - I TOSSED MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR

Every kiss is like our first kiss. It’s gentle like a baby’s skin, sweet as honey, and tender as jelly. This is the very first kiss we had in this timeline, but I will never forget the sensation of my lover’s warmth and affection.

Rikkun’s eyes were wide open at first when I smacked his lip. His face is completely red as if he just got slapped all over her face. But after a quarter of a second, he succumbed to the ecstatic sensation of our kiss as he closed his eyes.

The moment he opened his eyes, his green irises glowed, and its golden cross-like sigil twinkled. I have successfully baptized Rikkun to become a Gate Guardian once again as I gave him all my remaining prana in this fight.

Suddenly, Rikkun gave a smile at me. He raised his hand and patted my hair which made me a lot more nostalgic. Ah, Rikkun’s head pats are the best!

“I’ll handle this, Tiara. So stay put.” His smile is like those of a prince charming that would immediately revive a sleeping beauty from a deep slumber. He gently caressed my chin and after that, he stood up.

“Rikkun, wai-” I was about to reach out my hand to him. However, I stopped when I realized that all my wounds are gone. Even my shrine maiden dress is no longer in tattered condition. I could no longer feel any pain and even my prana is back to normal.

I felt a warm sensation in my heart that was similar to gentle sunlight. I’m more familiar with this sensation than anyone, considering that my other half Necchan used to own this Quintessence on her heart. It was a fragment of the God Core of Freyr!

Did Rikkun... remember it all now?

Rikkun continued to walk forward while starting the flying Eidolon with a smile on his face. Rikkun put his right hand in his chest and I felt a mixed sensation of hope and power.

“That rainbow-colored onion eye… It seems that Necross has affected the Eidolons in this timeline too.” Rikkun said confidently.

“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAACH!!!” The flying dragon crocodile roared once again as its creepy rainbow-colored third eye blinked fast. That eye stared at my lover and then made a crimson shine.

In an instant, that rainbow third eye unleashed a powerful crimson laser that is thrice as big and powerful than the one it unleashed unto me! If Rikkun gets hit with that, Gate Guardian or not, he will be vaporized!

Just before the crimson laser engulfed my lover, he removed his hand on his chest and then pointed outward to the laser. With vigor on his heart, he shouted the ultimate spell that the Frozen Soul has granted to him.

“!!!”

There was an explosion that neutralized the crimson blaster completely. The shockwave of the blast also made a wide but shallow crater on the ground, and all the crimson grass was ejected completely from the soil.

Right in front of my eyes, I saw a knight in shining armor. He has a platinum chest plate, spaulders, pants, boots, and even a liger-looking helmet. His blue cape with lion’s mane fur danced with the wind. Blue circuits flowed all over his mechanized armor which added a cool factor on him.

Rikkun looked at his armored hands and then spoke his thoughts out loud. “I knew it. Even if the timeline does not allow us from using future powerups, is an exemption. Since Aeternos himself is a timeline paradox, this power will not be banned by the time-space continuum laws as long as Alaric Eisenhower knows, acknowledges, and accepts Aeternos as himself.”

I don’t have any say on that. Sure, it’s weird for me to see that he can use , but he just offered a mind-blowing explanation for that. I don’t want to think about it too much since my brain hurt already. It’s better for you to not think of it also.

“R-Rikkun!” I cried as I stood up. I held my chest as I could no longer suppress my emotions. My eyes are drenched with tears and my face is redder than ever. “Y-You remember!”

“Yeah!” The liger helmet folded itself into the hood of Aether Armor like a futuristic mech which revealed the handsome face of my love. His green eyes looked back at me as he made a wide smile. “I can remember everything! Toujours et a Jamais!”

“Rikkun!”

I ran towards my love to meet him. As I ran, I noticed that the prana in the air has activated some divine force within me. My shrine maiden dress was engulfed with flames and when the flames disappeared, I found myself in my white-and-gold demigoddess robe. Ten wings sprouted from my back and the tips of my dress continued to blaze.

“E-Eh?” I shrieked.

“That might also be the result of the time paradox that brought. You are free to use your now, you try-hard pup.” Rikkun laughed.

“GRAAAAAAAACH!!!”

The flying crocodile-dinosaur-dragon Eidolon roared as if it wanted to be recognized. We momentarily forgot its presence when Rikkun and I were amazed at our old transformations, but now that it’s noisy enough to ruin our grand reunion, it shall now pay the price!

“That thing is an Eidolon which has been contaminated by the Curse of Necross. You think we can defeat it?” Rikkun asked with a smile on his face.

“We can do it!” I jollily pumped my fists. “With determination, we refuse to give up!”

“That’s my girl!” Rikkun said as he swiped his finger to open an otherworldly Gate. From the aura of it, that Gate he opened must be a pathway to the Realm of the Frozen Soul. But instead of using that portal as means of transportation, he put his hand inside it and pulled a crystal-ice sword that has the same shape that the one Diadem owned.

“!!!” Dragonhead-shaped aura engulfed my hands to boost my overall power.

“Get ready!” Rikkun commanded as he swiped his icicle sword to the right.

“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACH!!!” The dragon Eidolon shouted once again as it charged a white orb on its mouth. In an instant, the orb exploded in a form of blaster pointed to us!

“!!!” Rikkun raised his left hand and created an invisible barrier that blocked the incoming blaster with absolute defense.

While Rikkun is busy defending, I will focus on charging my energy! “Haaaaaaah!” I cried like a super saiyan and then pushed my boyfriend’s back with mixed air pressure! “!!!”

The blonde knight was immediately launched to the air with the speed of a fighter jet! Because of the strong wind force, Rikkun managed to fly without wings. He blocked the Eidolon’s continuous blaster with his invisible barrier!

Five meters, two meters. Point blank. Rikkun’s ascension cannot be stopped. The barrier effortlessly deflected the Eidolon’s laser-like a spoon splashing the water pressure from a faucet.

“!!!”

A blink of darkness was made, which was followed by a quicksilver streak. When the blackout faded, the dragon found itself cut in half, vertically.

“GRAAAAACH!!!” The Eidolon roared out loud. In an instant, the flesh of the Eidolon reconnected to each other as if it’s capable of impossibly-fast regeneration! Just how can we kill that monster!?

“Oh, so you’re immortal just like Esperia and Necross Hades, huh?” Rikkun smiled as he drifted upwards in the atmosphere. Now that he’s got the upper ground (or upper air), Rikkun can now fully assess the situation. His cross-sigil glowed as if it was a lightbulb on his brain. “How about we add the concept of death in you?”

“GRAAAAAAAAAACH!!!” The Eidolon answered as it charged another orb on its mouth. This time, even the rainbow third eye is charging energy to unleash a blaster.

However, Rikkun is faster. He already prepared a move-in hand to destroy the enemy.

“!!!” Rikkun’s sword was immediately buffed with the power of death, flames, and speed. And then with a swift but gentle whisper, he made his final blow! “”

Everything became dark. A silver flame followed. And then a figure of a skull was formed from the flames.

When the darkness faded, I found Rikkun on the ground, genuflecting as he stabbed his sword to the soil. He was showered by the silver dust that was the remains of the enemy Eidolon.

And then a Quintessence slowly descended towards him, which marks the end of this battle.
