Chapter 10. Demon*
Directly looking at the token exposed me to heavy pressure, a glance was enough to make me lose my balance.
"The Records give one out as a reward for what it considers as a hard achievement for the entity, it is not common but not too rare either."
I heard the guide say as he looked up to the token that was now slowing and drawing its light back after glancing towards me. It drew my eyes as the figure in the light changed from a token to two axes, slightly bigger than the hatchets but smaller than the axes that went in with my arms.
The two axes slowly hovered back to me as I reached out to get a hold of them.
They were beautiful, fully black with a slight red sheen on the blade. The handle was fully black, more like a matte black but it did not have the coolness of steel. The handle was shaped like a longer 'S' but curved in at the ends.
The blade was not exactly symmetrical, it moved a little up from where it was connected to the handle and the part below was a little longer than the one above. The blade was shaped like a question mark without the dot below.
The red sheen gave it an effect that conveyed that the axe was somehow always covered in blood. The name of the axe was maybe the reason why, as it gave me an answer and also a new question.
[Demonic Bloodthirster]
[A metal axe infused with demonic properties.]
I wanted to ask about demons but ultimately decided not to. This man, the guide, was being too nice for some reason. He was a guide, his job was to instruct those who came and be on his way.
He was supposed to be that cold, indifferent type of superior, not a friendly neighbourhood uncle. I instead asked another question.

"Why can't I go above fifteen? I reached it the second day but only the energy in me has been increasing not my level."
"Are your skill levels at max, I mean twenty-five?" The guide asked to which I nodded.
"The forest is a training zone where you cannot level evolve after fifteen, but if you pay attention to your class you will find the advancement available and ready for you to select. And if you are wondering it is possible to gain a second class after completing the trial tower, the process will be similar to your class advancement."
I focused on the class section and a [Class Advancement Available] prompt was available.
"What level are you at? Or is it something I should not ask?"
The guide laughed out loud, "It's fine if you ask but sadly, I won't be able to provide you with an answer. As to why that is you will find it out later."
I was curious, this man is strong, very strong, the aura around him screaming about his strength.
"Probably should start meditating, it makes the process easier, more comfortable." The guide said as he saw that I was about to proceed with the class advancement.
I sat down and started the process.
[Class Advancement Available]
[Select from one of the 5 available classes to advance]
[1. Warrior]
[2. Rogue]
[3. Mage]
[4. Berserker]
[5. Combatant]
The first three classes were common warrior, rogue, and mage. Mage was a class that I did not want to choose as my first, warrior sounded like something that would be more aligned with my fighting style.
But still, there were two more classes left.
[4. Berserker]
[Do not care much about the injuries that build up on your body and fight back until you win.]
[5. Combatant]
[The more you fight, the stronger you get. Use the rush of battle to your advantage.]

I would have selected berserker had I not felt that 'rush' during my battle with the goblin chief. That feeling of forgetting about everything else as I gave it my all during a fight was refreshing.
A part of me that I had sealed away resonated with my new class.
[Trainee ----> Combatant]
[The extra experience is being used to forge the body to its perfection]
[A dormant bloodline found]
[Using the excess energy to awaken the bloodline]
A heat slowly spread out from my body as the blood flowing sped up.
The child was interesting and talented, defeating a D-grade monster while being in F-class himself. A newly integrated star had a mortal of this level, who knows how many more were there.
I did spot a few when the others were here but not a lot of them the standards that we had set. But if there were a few more on the same talent level as this one here, the value of this planet would skyrocket.
And that stunt with weapon crafting materials, the weapon token was available to only new initiates and that too once at that. The weapon created would support them for a long time, sometimes the entirety of their path.
The regeneration potion could have saved his life in a tough spot in the future but the weapon was a lot more valuable for him than a potion. I have to find a way-
Suddenly an aura spread around the room, the origin being this child before me.
'A bloodline.....' This was one of the reasons I helped and convinced this boy to 'class up.' I couldn't harm him but observing, no one could stop me from doing that.
Red markings with black outlines appeared all over his body and a hazy figure started to form behind him, the image couldn't form fully and receded into his body, and so did the markings.
But I did see a blurry formation of horns, 'A partial awakening, the horns indicate a bestial lineage but it is still strong.'
The boy slowly opened his eyes, 'He will be able to help the sect by a lot.'
I opened my eyes and felt energized, there were a lot of alerts hovering before me but I was not interested in them. My body felt stronger, strong enough to beat the chief in a few minutes.
I was so excited, that even the guide did not even enter my field of vision as I kept moving my body.
"Oh," I said looking towards the guide a little embarrassed by my display, but what could I say he felt more like an older brother than a person that was sent to guide me to the next floor.
"Take your time, I also have something to talk to you about but after your all sorted out."
"Thank you," I replied and started to read the notifications.
