《The Demon Lord who wished to be a Hero》Chapter Six - Goblin Village [Part 1]

I wake up groaning with ringing in my ears. My whole body feels like it’s moving, but I know I'm staying still. I know I’m laying on my back, and it seems I’m on a bed, a really crappy one it feels like. I also hear noises around me.
Shuffling, snorts, grunts, a cough or sneeze. It’s making me feel very uncomfortable but I’m not opening my eyes to see whatever monstrosities maybe there waiting for me!
It’s like when I was a kid, and I woke up in the middle of the night and you hear noises. Just pretend to sleep and it will go away, if it doesn’t know you're awake. I thought I grew out of that phase but look at me now!
Wait, I have magic now! I can protect myself, and I’m a bloody Demon Lord for pete’s sake, who's going to mess with me! Well.. The thing that knocked me out and put me here I guess.. But that's not the point, I will not cower here until they slaughter me or God knows what!
I will fight to my last breath and reign victorious! And if I fail, I just respawn. Nothing that bad right. The worst would be losing my gear. Not like I would actually die and never respawn, pshh. This isn’t some dumb story about people being trapped into a death game. Haha! Its ridiculous just thinking about it!
I open my eyes to see a green skinned creature looking over me. I did what every normal person would’ve done if they opened their eyes and found something looming over their body when they woke up. I freakin screamed. There was nothing masculine about it either, it was shrill and made me look like a bitch.
Thankfully, the scream scared the bejesus out of the little sucker. Sadly it screamed as well, and must I add, It almost sounded as shrill as mine. It jerks back and falls down on it’s ass curling up into a ball, putting its arms over it’s head to protect itself.
It starts trembling like a scared child, like when the child’s parent comes out of the closet in the middle of the night after telling the child there isn’t monsters in their closet.
I take a closer look at the creature. I notice several different physical features beside it’s short stature and green skin. It has little like dagger teeth, large black eyes, sharp pointy ears, and a loin cloth around the privates. After seeing this, I realize that the little shit is a Goblin.
When I was done analyzing the Goblin, I felt a cold sweat go down my spine when I see that the bed is surrounded by more goblins, young and old. I would've apologized or did something however, they all looked terrified of me, like I would kill them all without hesitation at any moment.

Their all whimpering and if I look at them they flinch. Am I so scary that I’m able to dominate them just by being around them!? Freaking goblins are terrified of me! I even start waving my hand around and they either close their eyes, or they try to retreat and run into the Goblins behind them.
From how their acting, they couldn’t of possibly knocked me out..They seem so meek and sort of adorable. Yes, I just called Goblins adorable. They might be enslaved by a stronger monster! Yes! I will free you little guys from whoever is oppressing you!
I sit up and roll my shoulders and stretch, I’m not really keeping my guard up however they are. I look around the building, or in reality, a small stinky hut. The stinky part could just be from the Goblins sweating like pigs right now though.
It has carpet flooring that was stitched together from animal pelts and kept from moving by the bed and little stakes in the ground keep it there. Torch holders and the torches are hanging on the wall ready to be used to lighten up the hut. Seems pretty comfortable in my opinion.
When I get up, I notice the Goblins parting like when Moses parted the Sea, there is even a old Goblin with a staff walking where they parted too! He looks the same as the others but looks pretty wrinkly, like really, really wrinkly! You can make your own images of how wrinkly he is. He also has a scraggly beard and he is using the staff for support.
He walks right up to me and starts squinting his eyes at mine and it seems to me that he is trying to make me submit. Are you kidding me? It better just be just my imagination of this wrinkled up grunget, is actually doing that. Also, do you know what Grunget means, because I have no clue, but I hope it’s insulting.
The Grunget smiles and uses his staff to point to him and says brokenly. “Chief” He than points to me. I swear to god if he calls me something insulting. Just because I insult him but I don’t say it, doesn’t mean he can call me something! I sound so childish right now..
He smiles and says… “King”? What do you mean by King?! Why is he putting his staff in the air and shaking it! Why is the other Goblins raising their arms in the air and Chanting “King”!? What the hell happened!? What did I miss?!?!
The Goblins that were shaking before, are now chanting vigorously and with beaming smiles. I’ll repeat what I just said earlier. What the hell!? What did I do, that would make them call me “King”. Maybe they misunderstand what “King” means, that's all.. It couldn’t possibly be related to me being a Demon Lord, Correct..?

Who am I freaking kidding.. It’s probably due to that fucking race and class! Sigh.. I shouldn’t really get mad at it, considering all the benefits it already gave me.. and the negative.. Gah..
“For Jackel’s sake! Shut the hell up already! Your giving me a bloody headache!” says a young Goblin, running inside with a staff like the chiefs however has a crystal on the top of it. He starts glaring at everyone present visibly annoyed and the staff emits a toxic aura, making the air nearby smell and taste foul. He seems to be the only Goblin here to speak fluent English..
Goblin mage I'm guessing from his looks, or possibly Goblin shaman. Either way he probably knows magic. I study him , looking him over, from his gnarly feet to his loin cloth robe and finally his.. Stubby little horns. Like as big as my thumbs. Well you can’t see my thumbs so look at yours and you will probably know how stubby they are. Fourth wall? What is that?
He notices me and instantly rushing over with a crooked smile, as soon as the reaches me he looks up to me, like a child looking at their Hero. It made me feel a bit happy thinking about being thought as a hero.. Hehe..
“You're finally awake! I hope your sleep was pleasant and these imbeciles didn’t bother you.” The Goblins don’t seem to take offence however some had looks of confusion and looked at each other. The Chief on the other hand, glares at the Mage. It looks like the Chief understood him but the others didn’t, interesting.
“Who are you, if I may so ask?” I say to the Mage, asking politely. I was being cared for from them, and I doubt I want them to think of me as a rude ingrate or something. He gives me another crooked smile and answers with a jolly tone. “Nibit Toksisks at your service” He bows elegantly, for a Goblin.
“I would like to speak to you outside and give you a tour of the village, if that is fine with you that is.” He motions to the exit, which I sigh and respond. “Yes, I would really appreciate that. Please lead the way” Nodding his head, he leads me out of the hut and the Goblins start talking amongst themselves.
He escorts me out of the hut and I’m surprised that I am not bombarded by light, like when I first entered the game. We are still in the forest, however I can not see the sun due to the forest canopy shielding us.
It should be dark here however it is really illuminated due to the Goblins using torches on the huts and as lampposts on makeshift streets they have made. Another thing that helps the darkness problems is the glowing flora, such as blue or purple grass or yellow red flowers. Even the freaking trees glow! Or it could just be the moss on the trees…
“So what do you wish to speak to me ab-” I start however he interrupts by saying, “Thank you so much! You have no fucking clue how long I’ve been waiting for someone to be here besides another fucking goblin!”
I’m just staring at him blankly while he continues ranting, I think he is also crying.. Yep I see a few tears.
“Do you know how demeaning it is to know the Universal language, [Anglicus], and have to speak [Goblin]! Do you know what the Goblin language is?! It’s just bloody burping and farting noises!” He continues to rant and breakdown until he is just sitting down and crying. Everyone is just staring at him to.
He looked so calm and collected, elegant and now.. He looks pretty pathetic. Have you ever seen a Goblin cry? Well, you don’t want to, let me tell you that. Looks all snotty and big red puffy eyes.
“It’s okay now, I’m here and you don’t need to speak [Goblin] anymore.. Please stop crying.. The other Goblins are staring at us..” I smile wryly and try to reassure him. His crying slows and finally turns to a halt after a few minutes. Standing up and brushing himself off, looking quite embarrassed. I would too if I cried and had a mental breakdown in public..
“Sorry for making you see that, ahm.. Let's pretend that never happened” He looks away trying to hide his embarrassment. “We still have to see the rest of the village and to explain to you why you are here.” He starts walking again and I following sighing.
I wonder what I will find out here?

Crucible - A Lost Dungeons Tale
All stories must begin somewhere, this one starts with the creation of the universe. What follows is a tale of chaos and order, of gods and monsters, of creation and destruction. The birth of a universe is a tumultuous journey, different entities working with opposing ideals, cooperation giving way to frustration and jealousy. It is in that dangerous concoction of emotions that the god of monsters created the first dungeon core. Forged in a crucible of dedication and desire, the first core held potential, the likes of which could surpass even the civilised mortal races. Unfortunately it was not meant to be, the core was lost in a tragic accident and its creator thought it to have been destroyed. Over one-thousand years later, the core reformed inside an extinct volcano. In time it would grow enough to learn and learn enough to grow. This is the story of the first dungeon core. Crucible, the lost dungeon core. Note: Story updates every hiatus*. *I appologise for the delay.

Which was why he was surprised by a random company on a new colony planet buying out his contract. That was the problem with the large companies that ruled the colonies, once they owned your contract, they owned you. Imagine the greater surprise when he learnt that the new company held the promise of freedom. Nor from the Crust, the mysterious substance that covered the same planets and held the resources they all fought for. No, the freedom from being oppressed by those with more power and to finally decide where to go and where to set down roots and call home.

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
