《I've Transmigrated... with a Broken System》Chapter 10: Finding a Shop

Renard had just left The Misty Tree, he had a bright smile on his face as he had just got some of his money back from that barkeep.
After Renard had told the bar keep about the door some boisterous laughter was heard from the loyal patrons of the tavern who were still drinking at mid-day. After Renard's repetitive pestering at the bar keep, he decided to go and have a look at the door just to make him be quite.
'Hehehe, the look on his face was priceless, he simply couldn't fathom out what had happened to the door.' Renard thought to himself.
Once the bar keep was upstairs it took him few minutes of observation and some physics defying theories of how the door was taken. Yet the barkeep could only decide that the door must have been stolen. The bar keep thought that it must have been Renards who took the door but he had no proof. All of that lead to the bar keep having to give Renard 5 silver for his troubles. After Renard received the money the bar keep's face had bulging veins all over it. He regretted taking Renard as a customer.
Reward was most definitely happy. He had worked out a way to convert the systems error and turn it into profit. This was the beginning of a new era for Renard, countless possibilities were now open to him. 'So what if the system is broken, as long as I can turn these errors into money I can fuel my life here.'
A few residents of the town brushed passed Renard as they walked on the street, still milling around with their daily tasks. It looked like Renard was a rock breaking that broke the flow of a river.
At this moment, Renard was looking around at the stalls and shops, he needed to find somewhere that sold what he was looking for, both a weapon and armour. There were various shops littered around selling a stray weapon or piece of armour however, most were either incomplete, damaged or lacked in quality.

As Renard strolled around he noticed a few more inns around, these inns had their prices on sign boards outside. After looking at few more of these inns he had realised that his room was a lot more expensive than these ones. If Renard had checked the sign outside of The Misty Tree the prices were clearly shown and they were a lot less than what he paid. A normal person would have worked out that he had been scammed however, Renard just thought, 'These other places must be absolute dumps if this is what they cost because my room isn't even that amazing.'
In the back of his mind Renard knew that he had been scammed but his self confidence had become very fragile over these two days, he couldn't let something new effect his mental state as well. It's not like he hadn't been scammed in his previous life. He even once fell for a scam saying he had been in a car crash when he only owned a scooter.
Fortunately for Renard as his life progressed, he began to realise scams more often and learnt how to avoid them. The only reason he got scammed was because he trusted that the people in this new world weren't as horrible as the ones in his old one. However, he neglected to realise that humans are humans no matter where they are and that anyone can be bad and anyone can be good. It would have been wise for Renard to work that out sooner.
Once Renard dismissed the prices on the inns, he had walked to the town square next to the fountain. He knew that he would be able to find what he needed in Kyle's shop but he really didn't want to risk going in there and seeing the old man. He did want to be friends with the old man but it was best that he stay away while the old man was infatuated with him.

On the opposite side of the fountain diagonal to Kyle's store was the smallest building in the square, on the side it read, Beth's Gear. Renard knew instantly that this must be a good place and decided to enter, it didn't have much advertisement outside but through the door were multiple sets of armour that armour racks lined racks, from leather to iron. All the sets were in a complete condition and gave off a strong and solid aura. Renard felt that even his knife would do little damage the the leather armour.
Once Renard had finished looking trough the door stepped inside he felt a blast of hot air hit his face, the clashing of metal on metal could be heard from far into the shop. 'This place must make their own armour, I wonder if they provide weapons as well. Based off the quality of this armour their weapons must be pretty powerful to.' he thought.
Further into the shop that Renard went the more the temperature rose, fortunately not far in from the door was a desk that looked like where purchases could be made. As Renard got close to the desk he realised that it was made from solid metal, it looked comparable in strength to the strongest armour that Renard had seen on display. As he rest his hand on the top of the counter he decided to give it a push, it felt like he was trying to move a jumbo jet, there was no movement what so ever.
Sitting on top of the desk was a small bell with a note next to it that read, "Ring for service." Renard who was planning on making a purchase rang the bell, and a small chime came out. Renard wasn't confident that it would get anyone's attention with all the banging going on.
However, only a few moments after Renard had rang the bell a young sprightly voice of a girl came from the back of the shop where the banging was coming from. "I'll be right there" said the young girl.
Before Renard knew it, the door to the back was thrown open smashing on the side of the wall and a tiny girl ran over to the counter and hopped up on the stool behind it.
Renard was petrified of the little girl already. That was because of what happened to the desk when the little girl jumped up onto the stool. It moved. The only word in Renard's head was 'Strong'.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
