7 days after the explosion - The palace

When the prince woke up the next morning he made a mental note and put it in the highest priority "Search remedy for hangover". The great amount of pain he was felling in his head was unbearable and without any remedy near him, he would need to suck it up.

Even if he didn't feel like it, he chose to get up and go to the dinner table and have some breakfast since it should help with the hangover(specially a good cup of coffee). When he reached at the table, he found Susan and his niece with the maid happily eating their breakfast.

He wasn't surprised that Aria wasn't here but when he remember why Elena wasn't also, he felt a little sad and disappointed. In the end he sat ont the table and asked a maid for a cup of coffee and something to eat

The table was quiet since Susan wasn't the chatting type, Lina was to shy to start a conversation, it would be rude for the maid to start one and the prince wasn't in a good mood. In the end, Lina couldn't hold it any more and broke the ice

"Are you sick uncle?"(Lina) asked worried after seeing his face

The prince should have look really bad if even his niece asked about his complexion, but he wasn't surprised after all he drank yesterday

"I am fine, it just a little hang over from too much drinking"(prince)Answer honestly

"And is Elena sick too? She always had breakfast in the morning with us"(Lina)

fu*k, this is a tricky question(prince) wondering how he should answer the question without making her panic

"She went to a villa in the country side because of a family emergency"(prince)chose to say a half truth

"when is she coming back?"8Lina)

"This emergency looked really serious, so she won't be coming back any time soon"(prince) really didn't want to get her hopes up when he knew Elena may never come back

"oh..."(Lina) stayed quiet while she grabbed the cat and started to hug him

The prince kept eating his breakfast quietly but now he was kind of worried for his niece. Losing her father, mother, almost all her family, confined in a new enviroment and now losing one of the few people she could talk to may be to much for the little girl. He started to think for a way to cheer her up and after thinking of different options, he found a way to kill multiple birds with one stone.

"Lina follow me"(prince) while getting up from the table

The 3 girls had being surprised at the sudden outburst of the prince but decided to follow him anyway. The prince kept walking for a while until they reached the training grounds and found Aria in the middle of her daily exercise. Aria reacted at the sudden visit

"What's up"(Aria) casually asked

"I want you to train Lina"(prince)

"EH!!!"(x10) since not only the 4 girls but also the people nearby reacted

"What? Why such a reaction"(Prince)

"Well,taking aside the way you casually say it, it is estrange for a lady, specially in such a young age, to do any kind of physical activity"(P maid) managed to compose herself and made a sound argument

"So? I don't really care if it is strange or not, I want her to train under Aria"(prince) dismissing what she said

"Why"(P maid)

"Why not? besides, don't you want to be strong like your father Lina? The sooner the better"(Prince)use the father bait

"Can I be strong like father if I do the training thing"(Lina) completely biting it

"Of course"(Prince) reel her in and convince her

Lina got completely exited with the idea and no one had the heart to stop it so the prince had won. Of course the prince had a couple of reasons to be doing this.

First, this would keep Lina occupied, making it harder for to worry about other stuff. Second, a little training would help if something happens(and with his luck...). Third, Aria get along with Lina and was strong so it wasn't a bad choise for a teacher. And finally, since he was in danger and involved with problems that weren't suitable for a little kid, it was best to keep her busy so she doesn't always try to follow him around all the time.

"You ok with this aria?"(Prince)asked just incase

"Sure, I never trained anyone before but it shouldn't be too hard"(Aria)try to hide her excitement in her first disciple, especially since she was the daughter of her idol

"Ok, you should have training with her every morning, but make sure both of you come to the dinner table and have breakfast"(prince) didn't want to keep having breakfast in silence like this morning

The prince left Aria with his niece and the maid, and decided to take a look at his alchemy books, he really need it to find a cure for a hangover, his head was killing him.

7 days after the explosion - Dinning table

He had lunch with the 4 girls and still had a headache. It was better than in the morning but sadly he couldn't make a cure for it. He did find the recipe in one of his many books(one of the benefits of being royalty, books weren't lacking) but he lack some of the key ingredients, so he had to suck it up.

The lunch was a little more lively than the breakfast since Aria was the type that wouldn't shut up, but nothing interesting happen. In the end, they all got up from the table and while Lina went to have her afternoon studys, the prince took the opportunity to go to the Police HQ and see if they found anything else from the murder yesterday

He took the carriage with the 2 bodyguards and some normal guards, and went there. On his way he notice that the people still gave him the evil eye(sadly, the carriage was easy to identify) and it felt like it only got worse with time. He thought that he should make another visit to time soon and see what was going on.

When he arrived, at the HQ, he went to the reception desk and asked to see the Police chief, and was let in without a problem. Of course, the police chief let him in to his office with a grand welcome and he even call the detective from yesterday, but sadly they didn't find anything yesterday. No trace of blood or witness of the murder, they only heard people talk about the brutality of Aria to the guy and the ferocity she showed.

She really is a mad dog, maybe it wasn't such a great idea to have her as Lina teacher(prince)started to regret chosing her as a teacher

In the end, the investigation would keep going for both this murder and the one with the maid, but if they didn't find any more clues, it would be hard to find the culprit, according to the cheif.Well, he also asked permission for the detective if she ever needed something or someone from the palace, and the prince agreed.

The prince decided to go back to the carriage and chose his next option. He started by trying to figure out how could the guy get killed, and he could only come out with a couple of options

Aria lied(not likely)

Someone killed him while aria dragged his body and erased the blood after(probable)

he killed himself(possible)

The guards did it while distracting Aria(probable but the prince didn't want to become too paranoid so he tried to deny it in his mind)

Magic was involve somehow, like illusion magic or brainwashing(really hard to accomplish but possible with every thing going on)

The prince didn't think it was option 1 since aria wasn't likely to fool anyone. Option 3 was the 2 less possible option since the way he died wasn't ideal for suicide, but still possible. The prince didn't want to think option 4 was the one, since it meant that at least a couple of guards in the palace were in someone else pocket. Option 5 seems a little far fetch, but a powerful spell caster would be able to pull it off, or at least he thought he could pull it of since he wasn't an expert in magic.

Finally option 2 seems the one he liked the most for various reasons. Firs, it probed again that aria was an idiot, it didn't involve a powerful wizard, just a good assassin(and they weren't that hard to find in the capital) and he didn't have to worry about corruption. Well the lack of blood seem like either the assassin clean up(not that hard to do with the right tool or chemical) or the police was incompetent, also something really likely

The prince saw himself in a cross-road.One option was to go see her sister and hope she not only help him with number 5 and maybe something else she also doesn't kill him in the proses(since he almost got killed last time). The other one was to go home and wait for a new development. He didn't like either one but he still needed to make the choise
