In games and movies, when the protagonist defeated a strong enemy it will result in a heartwarming scene where the heroine would hug the protagonist when he returns.

I thought that it will also happen since this is the other world but apparently, it is limited to movies and games only.

Right now I am kneeling down while being scolded by Kaezar.

As for Gino, he is being treated in the clinic due to his injuries. His left arm is dislocated due to the charge of Lupos. Well, it’s expected since he received that huge bear charge.

“Are you listening to me!?”

From where we are, I saw a girl waiting at the village entrance(?) waiting for us.

I thought that it was brawler’s lover but as we get nearer, I recognized the true identity of the girl. It’s Kaezar. With her arms crossed in front of her, she’s looking at our direction with worried face.

Back then, I thought that it was the previous world Kaezar since she (Kaezar previous world) was also the one who waits for us whenever I did something reckless. I thought I will not get scolded by her since they are different person but I was so wrong.

The moment she can see us clearly, she suddenly ran towards us.

Thinking that I might get some emotional reunion like the one in the movies, I forced myself to ran to her and when we’re one step away from each other, I felt a sharp pain on my cheeks.

I got slapped and fell down.

I hold my cheek where she slapped me and look at her confused. We’ll anyone would be confused when you suddenly got slapped when you return from battle. And damn! Her slapped shave off a little of my HP!

‘Even though she have a weak body, how come that her slap can damage me?’

That’s what I thought at that time.

After slapping me, Kaezar asked the adventurers to bring us at the clinic while she will call her father. It seems that her father was on the village chief’s house at that time discussing on how to tackle the field boss.

After dropping us at the clinic, Kaezar and her father came.

When Kaezar’s father saw us, he immediately told Kaezar to prepare the beds while he lend his shoulders to me and Gino. Of course after that would be the treatment scene and since it doesn’t have any interesting happened, it will be omitted.

Now let’s go back to where we are.

Kaezar’s scolding still continue and I almost memorize everything she’s saying since it is redundant.

After another 15 minutes or so, she finally stops scolding me and went to Gino.

Maybe he will receive her scolding too. I pray that he will be scolded much longer than me.

I tried to get up but my feet seem to be asleep and I fall down due to it.

“Still even though I am in a different world Kaezar remains to be Kaezar.”

I mutter as I walk outside the house.

As I step outside, I see someone who looks familiar.

It is a girl with a shoulder length black hair, a pair of black eyes that is the same as me and she’s wearing a robe and carried a staff. Maybe she’s a mage? Although in this world magic exist, only a few of them can use it on combat and they are the so-called Magician or Mage. It is also a job but I heard that it there are only few of them, most of them are nobles though, because you need to practice how to control mana efficiently.

She’s walking leisurely and basing on the direction she’s walking, she’s going to the village chief’s house. But even though she looks familiar, I can’t pinpoint where I met her.

I want to call her out but I might be seen as someone who’s picking her.

‘Well, if she’s important then maybe sooner or later I will remember her.’

I said to myself and walk towards the adventurer’s guild.

As I enter the tavern (adventurer’s guild) I saw the brawler and his party entering the guild master’s room. They seem to report the incident about Lupos. Well, it’s better for them to report about it since if I were the one who report, I think the guild master would just consider it as a lie since I am just a bronze rank adventurer. No matter where you look at it, if someone who is a bronze-rank reported that they defeated a field boss, no one will take them seriously.

Anyways, the reason why I am here is to give the goblin’s tooth we gathered for today, we have 20 of them that will enable us to rank up… or so I thought.

When I give the teeth on the receptionist, she said that we are now qualified to take the promotion test. When I hear about it, I almost yell that “Are you kidding me?! This isn’t Leag*e of L*gends!” but somehow, I manage to contain it on myself.

“You seem to be surprised about the promotion test. Is this the first time you heard about it?”

“As I said before, after completing 100 quests in your rank, you will be allowed to take the promotion test. It doesn’t matter if you are alone or with your friends, as long as they are also within the same rank and eligible to take the promotion test, you can take it with them. Promotion test are simple. You will be given 5 tests to take and you only need 3 pass for you to rank up.”

While she is saying these words, I concluded that this promotion test is really equivalent to promotion ser*es of L*L. Well, it is relatively easy if it is the same with L*L. If it is really like L*L then when you fail your serie—I mean test, then you will be deducted by 10 quests or so then you can just gather some herbs or goblin’s tooth outside then you’re already eligible again to take the test. Maybe because it is a dream or I wanted to have a sibling, but I accepted her as if it was natural. In that dream, I introduce her to my friends and almost all of them have fallen to her except Iggy, Marc, and Gino. She is extremely close to Iggy, who is an otaku, since they have the same hobby. I think her name is…

“Skyla..”

The mage-girl, who is now in front of me, stops walking and look at me with surprise.

“Uhmm… Have we met before?”

She asks me while she put her index finger at her cheeks.

“I’m sorry but are you talking to me?”

I ask her since I don’t know if she’s talking with me or someone behind me.

I look behind and see no one, even to my side there are no people.

So maybe she’s talking to me, but why?

I am Skyla Perez a 15 years old lady, just to be clear okay? I am not a noble but I have a family name (well, Perez was my father family name and it is a tradition on their family to pass it down to their children even if it is a girl), daughter of Percival Perez who is a member of the adventurer group called ‘Odyssey’ one of the adamantite-rank adventurer in this kingdom. My father and his companion are amazing you know! They survive even though they met a dragon twice! And not only survive, they also wounded it! But they didn’t manage to kill it; they said that it is so powerful that every time it roars, the ground shook. Its breath can melt even the hardest metal as if it was just a paper. But they manage to survive after meeting it twice and they also wound it! Amazing right! They said that its two eyes are now blind due to them and were really furious but they somehow manage to survive! Eh? You’re asking why the dragon didn’t hunt them down? It is because they also manage to seal it! The one who manage to seal it is my mother you know! Mother and father met because they are adventurer. Isn’t it romantic? Now, I am an adventurer because I also want to have a romance like my father and mother.

And I know this is something you might not want to hear but let me tell you the story behind the name of ‘Odyssey’. I am just a 5 years old girl when I asked my grandfather, who is also a member of it, what does ‘Odyssey’ means, he said that it was a novel back on his hometown where the protagonist was having a journey to go back to his home and also he said to me that he and my father isn’t someone originally from this world. He also said that just like the protagonist, my father and grandfather was finding a way back to their original world. I cried at that time and tell him not to leave me behind. My grandfather, smile wryly at me and patted my head. He said “That was back then, I don’t want to leave this world since Skyla(me) is here, it is the same with your father.” When I heard those words, I felt so happy but now, I feel guilty (because my grandfather and father can’t meet their previous family because of me). My grandfather also told me that I have a big brother at their world. I think his name is “Jasper”. He said that my father told him that he found himself in this when my brother is only 3 years old. Back then, he said that my father take drastic measure to get back to their original world and almost got killed too many times but my grandfather protected him.

When I heard about it (the brother part), I have a strong urge to meet him (even now, I still have that urge) so I ask my grandfather to find a way so that I can meet him but he only patted my head and said “I think it is impossible since even though how many years I live in here, I haven’t found a single clue on returning to that world. Even your mother gave up after trying for many years.” while looking sad about it. That is the reason why I become a magician. I want to create a spell that can connect the two worlds so that I can meet my brother and grandfather and father can see their previous family. But right now that I am a magician, I don’t know where to start. To begin with, there isn’t any research material about it. But I won’t give up! One day I’ll connect the two worlds and meet my older brother! Right now, I am currently researching about how monsters spawn. Do they have a family? Do they pop out of thin air? Or are they transported, just like grandfather and father, from another world? I want to know since maybe they have the key to connect the two worlds.

And that is the reason why I am here. In this village, Pinar, they have a unique monster that can only be hunted once every 10 years. It is Lupos the red bear. It is considered as a field boss but unlike any other field boss, it came out from the black circle that suddenly appears out of nowhere. Normally, a normal monster become a field boss if they have gathered enough strength, they are not something that came out of nowhere like Lupos. It’s almost 10 years since the last time that Lupos was hunted so I went here to see how it spawned personally. I feel that seeing that phenomenon will give me the key about my research so I went here as quickly as possible. My father was supposed to go with me but my mother is currently pregnant so he can’t. He is worried because I’m still too young to travel and I might become a victim of a bandit and be solved as a slave or got attacked by monster and die. But I am already 15 years old, I am considered as an adult now but my father told me that in their world, 15 years old still too young and you will only be called an adult if you are at the age of 21. But I told him “That was on your world and we are not there. In here 15 years old is considered as an adult and I am also a silver-rank adventurer!” My father tried to argue but my mother told him that I am right and she also persuaded my father to let me go. I have the best mom in the world! Looking back at my mother and me, my father reluctantly agreed and he said on one condition, and that is to greet everyone he knows at the village of Pinar, which was the village chief and the only doctor there. I am so happy because my father agreed so I quickly rented a horse and went on to Pinar. But when I am on my way to Pinar, I always feel that something is watching me. Luckily, I didn’t meet any bandit or monster.

After arriving at Pinar, I rented a room in the nearby inn and went to the village chief’s house first since it is just a straight road ahead from where the inn was. Then after visiting the village chief, I went to the adventurer’s guild.

On the way, I saw this man who seems to be an adventurer. He’s wearing leather armor and on his waist, his sword could be seen. Strangely, I felt something familiar from the man, he’s like father. His hair and eyes are black, he have a good looking face that somehow resemble my father. I tried to ignore him but he suddenly said my name in a low tone.

‘Do I know him?’

Is the question that first appeared on my head so I ask him if we met before but we he denied it. Well, even though how hard I think, I can’t remember him.

He said that he muttered the name of someone he knew but I think my name is pretty unique. So far, I haven’t met someone with the same name. Well, the world is big so I just apologized to the man while bowing my head. My mother said that I need to be polite at someone who is older than me. After apologizing, I went to the adventurer’s guild to ask about Lupos.

The guild here seems to be quite lively. Although there isn’t so much crowd here but the every adventurer was drinking alcohols and eating as if there is a feast. I only drank an alcohol once, and that was when I become a silver-rank adventurer. Well, after one cup, I got drunk. I am weak at alcohol.

While making my way to the receptionist, who is smiling from ears to ears, I heard some words that pique my interest. It is the name of “Jasper”. Maybe it was a different person but I tried to listen on what I can under this rowdy tavern. When I arrived at the front of the receptionist, I asked if Lupos already appeared. Sadly, it already appeared so I miss my chance to see that black circle. I hang down my shoulders due to disappointment but the receptionist told me that it was also subjugated. I think that it was natural since there are some silver-rank adventurers here but what surprised me was the one who subjugated Lupos was two bronze-rank adventurer and more than that, they just registered for just a few days.

Due to my surprise, I asked the receptionist if I can know the name of these two bronze-rank. I got a feeling that, that “Jasper” was the one who subjugated it since his name was constantly being said here and there.

The receptionist told me the name which really surprised me. The one was a Jack-of-all-Trade Gino Cruz, I thought that he was a noble but the receptionist told me that they aren’t even though they have a family name.

‘So he is like me… Wait, maybe he is like my father, another summoned human from another world.’

That isn’t what surprised me but what comes next.

The other one was Jasper Perez, an archer.

This really surprised me! If it was Jasper Perez, then there is a chance that it was my brother!

But I slightly ridiculed my father’s family in my heart, why did his family got summoned here 3 times in a row now. First is grandfather, second is father, and now is my older brother.

I asked the receptionist about the whereabouts of this Jasper Perez. She happily replied that he was currently staying at the house of Fernando, the only doctor in this village and also my father’s friend.

I got a little excited on going on that house now. After asking for direction and saying my thanks at the receptionist, I quickly ran towards the house of Fernando.
