A high school boy was walking on the streets of America, when a hobo approached him.

He asked the boy a question.

“Do you like the world as it is now?”

The boy was pretty weirded out, for him life was normal as it always had been, so replied with yes.

Where the man gave him a frown and asked him something.

“Have you ever read the newspapers, watched the news or looked at legit news sources on social media? Tell me what do you see?”

The boy said that he mainly saw problems as the man replied with:

“That is right and not only in other countries, but ours as well America is a mess and no matter what we do. People just put their heads in the sand doing as if everything is going fine, while not focusing on the true problems that plague humanity as a whole.”

The boy got confused and asked him what he wanted.

“Oh nothing, but what if you had the power to change the world, what would you do?”

The boy replied with:

“By making the world a better place where everyone could be happy.”

“HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

The boy asked why the hobo was laughing.

“Don’t worry about it for now. You have much to learn, but in fact I need someone like you.”

The boy gave a confused face as the hobo walked up to him and put his hands on his stomach. He asked the hobo what he was before he felt weird as if thousands of tons were on top of him, as he fell to the ground.

“What did you do to me? And who are you?!” The boy asked.

“I am nobody and gave you the power to change reality, but not in a literal sense.”

Before the boy could ask a follow up question, the man disappeared.

Probably never to be seen again.
