We received help from Di’Ophion to fly back towards the elf kingdom; he took all of us on its back and flew up into the clouds; apparently, he and Yumi made a pact that if Yumi took care of the environment with Misaki, then they would help them get back up into the clouds when they needed to. Kasai was having a great time on the ride there, she extended her arm out to touch the clouds; her small gentle hands opened with the engagement ring on her ring finger that shined brighter than the sun. She started giggling out of the amusement she was having and said,

“This is far better than the rollercoaster!”

“We are riding a griffon after all. It’s not something you usually get to do, so enjoy it.”

“Thank you again, Di’Ophion.” Said Yumi.

“No need to thank me, Yumi. This is just part of our pact.” After a couple minutes of flying we touch down on the kingdom to a spot where no one could see us which was under the church.

“Is this why nobody sees you coming?” I asked looking at Yumi.

“Yeah, we found this little tunnel under the church some time ago; it really helps us come unseen from people.” We walked inside the church and exited through the main gate.

“So, where is your friend resting at?” Asked Misaki.

“I don’t know, but I do know a good way of finding her.”

“You don’t have a phone?” Asked Yumi.

“No, only Shizuka does.” We walked to the twilight hotel, as we were walking into it I bumped Kasai in her shoulder and said,

“Doesn’t this place remind you of something, baby?” She instantly blushed, covered her face and said,

“Shut up!” We walked towards the front desk. I then asked,

“Where is the most expensive room?”

“Uhm, room 436Z, but it’s already booked by someone.”

“Oh, I know. Yumi, Misaki, could you wait for us here?”

“Why? What’s wrong?” Asked Yumi. I didn’t want to tell them straight up that if Shizuka saw me with two more other girls, she would have gotten extremely jealous.

“It’s quick, I’ll be back with her.”

“Do as you please then.” Said Yumi. Kasai and I started going upstairs to room 436Z. She was holding my hand tight throughout the way as a way of telling me that she doesn’t care if Shizuka sees us anymore, I respected that, she is learning by herself to be more confident.

“I’m really proud of you, baby,” I said while holding her hand firmly. The look of both of our hands held together with the engagement rings on made my heart warm up.

“T-Thanks.” We arrived in front of Shizuka’s room and knocked on the door, but no one answered. I knocked again, but nothing. I tried opening the door, and it surprisingly wasn’t locked.

“Kasai, wait for me here, you never know if this could be a trap from black tombstone.”

“You going to be alright?”

“Yeah, I’ll be back really quick.”

“If you say so. If anything goes wrong to use the telepathy.” I walked in and closed the door behind me. I looked around the living room and noticed that there was a lot of empty wine bottle all over the place. I saw the door to her room opened, I decided to carefully walk in.

As I turn the corner, I quickly smelled the cherry blossom aroma she always gives off, I looked on the bed and noticed it was all messy, she was laid on top of it facing to the side with only her white underwear on and wine bottles all around her bed. The first thing that came to mind was that I didn’t know she liked to drink alcohol, the second thing I noticed was that she was only wearing her underwear on, I instantly got pissed thinking that anyone could have come in and taken advantage of her. I walked to the side of the bed, sat down and covered her up.

Shortly after, I softly tapped her on the shoulder and said softly not to bother her,

“Shizuka, I’m back.” She slowly opened her emerald eyes, looked at me and quickly jumped at me hugging me and pulling me down with her on the bed.

“Rukito! I’ve missed you so much.”

“Shizuka, stop!” I pushed her away and stood back up.

“Huh? What’s wrong?” She said. I could quickly notice that she was still a bit drunk.

“First of all, seriously?! I told you to not do dumb things, and the first thing I see when I come back is your room completely opened, and then you laid on the bed with only your underwear on! Do you understand that anyone could have opened this room and raped you?! You don’t have a singularity to defend yourself with!” She grabbed my arm and pulled me very close to her to the point her breasts were pressing against my chest. I was very embarrassed by the situation, but my anger and disappointment were far more significant, plus, I’m engaged now.

“I don’t mind getting raped by you though… you’re the one I’ve been waiting to give my first time to after all.” Her eyes were lost in the amount of alcohol she drank. I understood that these were the emotions she genuinely felt inside her.

“Shizuka, I said sto—” She grabbed me and gave me a soft kiss. It felt weird since it wasn’t Kasai on the other end. I’m not going to lie to myself and say that it didn’t feel good, you could feel all her emotions towards me in that quick kiss, but she is nothing compared to Kasai, Kasai gives perfect kisses. Shizuka’s kisses felt a bit dry compared, especially since she is drunk and not herself.

I quickly pulled back and said, “Shizuka, I’m really disappointed in you…” She then instantly started to cry and said,

“That was the best thing I’ve ever felt, and it was only for a second… why can Kasai have all of that for more and more than just a second?!” The rage inside me was building up quicker and quicker.

“Shizuka! I don’t love you! Stop acting selfishly for fuck sakes!”

“Huh?” I showed her my ring and said,

“Look, Kasai and I will get married in a year! Now, you need to stop acting so fucking childish and as if you own me!”

“Marry her?...” She held her head and looked away.

“You told me you were going to apologize to Kasai when she came back, I still expect you to do so.”

“Yeah… wait for me outside, I’ll be there.”

“Alright…” I got up and walked outside where Kasai was waiting for me. She had a suspicious look, she got closer to me and smelled my neck.

“What happened in there?” I promise to myself that I wasn’t going to lie to her now that she is my fiancé, so at this point, I had to tell her that Shizuka forcefully kissed me.

“Shizuka… she forcefully kissed me, but I pushed her away as fast as possible.”

“She… kissed you?!” She started walking inside the room with heavy steps, I grabbed her arm and said,

“Kasai, she is drunk, she probably isn’t thinking about anything twice.” I didn’t want to give Shizuka the benefit of the doubt, but I have to be understanding for the sake of our friendship.

“Drunk?! That’s not an excuse to do whatever the fuck she wants!” She slapped my arm off and kept walking inside.

“Kasai, please don’t use violence.”

“I won’t, I will just have a nice little talk with her.” I walked in behind her, and as soon as we entered her room, we noticed that Shizuka was dressed, standing by the window looking to the land below. She seemed not drunk anymore at this point. She looked at the ring on Kasai’s finger and said,

“So you two will get married now?”

“Yes, we are.” Said Kasai.

“Shizuka… don’t you have something to say?” She sighed and said,

“You know, the more I think about it, the more I don’t want to.”

“And I think I might be pregnant too.” Said Kasai with a smirk. Pregnant?! She sure as hell hasn’t told me anything. Isn’t it too early to know if she is?! Maybe she has had some symptoms? Or maybe her succubus side can quickly tell her if she is or not. Or is she… lying?!

“Kasai, what are you sayi-” She used her telepathy to tell me,

“Shut up! I’ll prove to you that she definitely hasn’t changed her thoughts about me. I know that she wanted to apologize, but if she does is only for your acceptance, it’s obvious.”

“P-Pregnant?! Are you serious?!” Shizuka started scratching her head and yelled, “You’ve only been together for a month or two, and this is how far you have gotten?! IS SHE REALLY THAT MUCH BETTER THAN ME?!” The room started shaking. Everything hanged on the wall fell to the ground. She looked at Kasai with eyes I have never seen before. Pure envy and hatred filled her green eyes.

“Shizuka, calm down, you’re better than this,” I said.

“She isn’t…” Said Kasai.

“SHUT UP!” A sudden wind picked up Kasai, she instantly reacted to it and turned on her singularity, but as soon as she did, the wind quickly blew her off the window making her free-falling into the land below.

“SHIZUKA, STOP!” I yelled. Shizuka released her angel wings and halo, then jumped out the window to chase her down. I quickly rushed towards the window and looked down. Kasai also released her devil wing, but she only had one so it just allowed her to glide down, while Shizuka could freely move in the air.

“Dammit! I don’t have my wings yet, I can’t do anything!” This was in the back of the hotel, so the people and the guards didn’t have a view of the whole thing. Shizuka made a magic circle and pulled out a spear out of it. Kasai noticed that she couldn’t fight while being blindfolded in the middle of a fall, so she turned off her singularity. Shizuka flew straight down like an eagle to pierce her, but Kasai managed to dodge the attack.

“I don’t need my singularity to beat you.” Said Kasai.

“YOU STOLE EVERYTHING FROM ME!” Yelled Shizuka.

“I didn’t steal anything… it was never yours, to begin with.”

“YOU ARE LIVING THE FUTURE I WANTED!”

“Shizuka doesn’t know anything about Kasai’s fighting ability, she will probably underestimate her… Kasai is bound to win this fight, but knowing her… she won’t wound Shizuka.” Shizuka kept trying to pierce and slice Kasai, but Kasai kept dodging every single attack even though all she could do was glide and slightly maneuver left and right as she fell. I couldn’t just stay there watching so I decided to jump down, I could probably use my Katana to make some air to catch my fall.

I unsheathed my Katana and flew down faster. I intended to stop Shizuka by making one of my wolves bite her before anything happened to either of them.

“My past days have been so full of joy that my fighting senses are a bit rusty.” Said Kasai as she kept dodging every single attack. “Thankfully, you are still a newbie in combat.” Kasai got so used to the attacking patterns that she grabbed Shizuka’s spear out of her hands and kicked her away with both her legs. “Learn how to use your body’s acrobatics at its full potential, and then you can use a weapon at its fullest.” She grabbed the spear firmly and snapped it into two. “For now, don’t even try using a weapon… you are embarrassing yourself.”

“Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!” Shizuka flew all the way up on top of her, opened a magic circle and said, “Let’s see how you can dodge this… Imki!” The magic circle then released hundreds of arrows that seemed that they were made out of water. Kasai realized that she couldn’t dodge them, so she guarded vital parts as she started getting sliced and stabbed by these arrows. The arrows also managed to open a hole were to fall through in the barrier surrounding the cloud kingdom, so now were falling even further below into the land. I managed to reach Shizuka, I grabbed her and looked straight into her eyes with anger.

“R-Rukito?” A wolf appeared on my shoulder and jumped at her, pushing me down. “W-What?!” The wolf almost managed to bite her, but Shizuka quickly kicked it away before it could get to her. I kept falling straight down and reached Kasai. She was bleeding from almost every single limb.

“Kasai, is everything ok?”

“Yeah, this doesn’t hurt. I’m more worried about you though.” I chuckled out of nervousness and said,

“I’ll figure something out. Stay close to me, she won’t hurt me. Once we land on the ground, it should be way easier stopping her.”

“Right.” We were about 10 seconds from hitting the ground. We were in the middle of an open field. I turned around facing the ground, pulled my Katana and before touching the ground created wind with a slice that bounced off the ground blowing me up and catching my fall. Kasai glided with her wing and landed softly. Shizuka landed 5 seconds right after us looking ever more pissed. She cast a spell looking at me, and said,

“Paralyze…” I quickly realized that I couldn’t move.

“Shizuka! Stop it!” I yelled.

“I don’t want to accidentally hurt you.” Said Shizuka. Kasai quickly took my katana off my hands and said,

“Let me use this.” Shizuka looked at her surprised and said,

“H-How can you use his singularity?!” I looked at her and said,

“Our souls are connected Shizuka, she is my soulmate.”

“N-NO! I am the one you deserve to be with!” Yelled Shizuka. I noticed that Kasai was having a hard time standing on her own two feet and holding the Katana with her two hands since she was slightly shaking every now and then, but she wasn’t showing any sign of pain.

“Those arrows were meant to pierce your muscles and tear their ligament… you shouldn’t be able to stand at this point!”

“Shizuka…” Said Kasai as she started walking towards her. Wolves started appearing behind Kasai walking with her. “You never bothered to ask me about my past, and that made you underestimate my tenacity.”

“W-What are you talking about?!”

“If you think Kasai has always been an innocent and naïve girl, you’re very wrong,” I said. “She is far more dangerous than you could think of.” Kasai pointed at her with the Katana, and every single wolf behind her rushed towards her. Shizuka tried pushing away as many wolves as she could with her magic, but one of them managed to get through her defense and jumped on top of her slamming her against the ground.

“It’s over, Shizuka…” The wolf went for her neck, but as the wolf was about to bite her, Shizuka opened a giant magic circle on the ground that surrounded us and yelled,

“I HATE YOU TO THE CORE! YUEM!” Suddenly, everything inside the circle got paralyzed. Kasai and the wolves couldn’t move an inch.

“W-What did you do?” Said Kasai. I saw her struggling to move. Shizuka pushed the wolf off of her and started walking towards Kasai while making another spear.

“Those yellow eyes… I hate them… that hair of yours, I hate it. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE HIS APPEARANCE?!”

“Shizuka! STOP!” I yelled. She spun her spear around, then sliced Kasai’s face, making her right eye bleed a lot.

“Good luck looking good with only one eye!” The paralysis spell dissolved, Kasai and everything but me could move again. Kasai fell to the ground holding her face. She was bleeding from many different wounds on her body, but now, she was mostly bleeding from her eye. This is an unfair fight… Shizuka wants to wound her as much as possible, probably even kill her, but Kasai only wants to knock her out.

“SHIZUKA!” I mind started to get fuzzy. I felt the anger boil my blood more and more. “If you touch her… one more time…”

“It’s fine… I’m ok.” Said Kasai with a weak voice. She ripped part of her clothing off and made an improvised eyepatch with it. She then stood up as Shizuka looked at her with an astonished expression.

“Y-You can still stand up?! Aren’t you hurt?! Aren’t you tired?!” Kasai quickly used this moment of Shizuka dropping her guard to grab her arm and throw her over her shoulder, slamming her against the ground.

“Gah!” Shizuka spat out blood and looked at Kasai with fear this time. “WHY WON’T YOU DIE ALREADY?! BLEED OUT!” Kasai looked concerned about the fact that she spat out blood, while she was bleeding from many wounds across her body, she lends her hand out to Shizuka and said,

“Shizuka! Sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you this much.” Shizuka looked at Kasai, gave a false smile and said,

“I think I’m fine.” She grabbed her hand, then quickly grabbed the spear that was on the ground with the other hand.

“KASAI! DON’T TRUST HER!” Shizuka got the spear and sliced Kasai’s legs, even more, to make sure she didn’t walk anymore. Kasai fell to the floor in pain and started groaning.

“Tsk! Shizuka… you really hate me this much?”

“You’re finally feeling the pain huh?!” Shizuka then tried stabbing her even more, but Kasai still managed to dodge the attacks while rolling left and right. Kasai grabbed the spear, pulled Shizuka in and headbutted her. Shizuka fell on the opposite side of Kasai on the ground in pain.

“You’re not used to pain, Shizuka. I don’t want to hurt you.” Shizuka quickly faced Kasai and used the paralysis spell once again on her.

“Dammit! The more I use this spell, the more tired I get!” She slowly got up and grabbed her spear one more time. “I don’t care if Rukito won’t be with me after this, but if I can’t have him, THEN NO ONE CAN!” She aimed the spear right onto Kasai’s neck.

“Shizuka! DON’T DO IT!” I had enough of watching… my thoughts were disappearing from my head, everything was getting filled with hatred, anger, and self-conflict. Chaos enveloped my brain, I had lost the ability to control my emotions; it was as if I never meditated before, everything was a complete disaster in my head. “Do I kill her? Of course not, she is my best friend, but then the most important in my life will die. Do I kill her? Maybe I should, that will stop all of this fuss. Do I kill her? Maybe it’s probably not the best idea. DO I KILL HER?!” I then heard a voice in my head saying,

“Kill her…” Everything around me didn’t matter anymore. My vision turned black, and the only thing that I could see was Shizuka. I grew horns, a wing, and my limbs were enveloped by scales and hard skin. My nails grew longer and sharp, and I couldn’t think of anything but… killing. As Shizuka was about to pierce Kasai’s neck, it all started to move in slow motion. I rushed towards her, broke her spear with a chop of my hand, and grabbed her by the neck with the other hand, looking straight into her eyes with hatred and death in my eyes.

“R-Rukito?... I-I can’t breathe…” Her face was full of fear, but that didn’t faze me. I didn’t feel a single positive emotion in me… it was all… chaos and discord inside of me. I pointed my sharp nails towards her neck, but then I heard Kasai saying with her weak voice,

“H-Honey, please… let her go… everyone deserves a second chance.” The only thing that could go through my chaotic mind right now was the sweet voice of Kasai. Should I stop? Isn’t that what would make her happy? If I kill her, then she will be disappointed in me… I don’t want that.

“Ru… ki...to…I’m sorr…y” Said Shizuka. She fainted since she was out of the air. Kasai dragged herself onto my leg and hugged it.

“Please, sweetheart… don’t kill her; I promise everything will be alright.” Her voice quickly made everything better, I started gaining control back of my body, and my devil side started disappearing. I dropped Shizuka onto the floor, and everything started getting blurry. “Kasai… I need… to heal you.” Kasai took out her singularity and said,

“Here…” I grabbed her positive dagger and wrote the symbol of the ancient writing on her arm. I have no idea how I still remember it. “Thank you, honey.” I then quickly fainted onto the ground. The last thing I saw was Kasai’s smile.

I had no idea of the time we were unconscious. My memory actually started to get fuzzy by the whole thing. I woke up in the guest room at Yumi’s house on the bed. I looked to my side and noticed that Kasai was sleeping right next to me with her eyepatch still on. I quickly take off the covers and start watching all around her body for scars or wounds, but all I saw were the hickeys I gave her, then remembered that her succubus body doesn’t leave scars or wounds, only hickeys. I took a deep breath of relief when I saw her peacefully sleeping right next to me with no scars. I lightly shook her and said,

“Baby, wake up.” She slowly opened her eye and said,

“Good morning honey.”

“I’m not sure if it’s morning or not actually.” She slowly sat up holding her head and said,

“My head is throbbing… what happened-” She quickly started to remember everything and said, “Oh, right…” I also sat up and hugged her.

“I’m glad you’re ok.” She smiled and hugged me back.

“All thanks to you.” I quickly remembered that her right eye was sliced.

“Let me see your eye really quick.”

“Oh, I think it’s fine,” she said as she took off her eyepatch. The eye was red, no longer yellow. So now she had different colored eyes, a red one, and a yellow one. “How does it look? I can see perfectly from it.”

“I-it’s… red.”

“H-huh?! The eye is red?!”

“Yes. But don’t worry, I actually think it looks hot.”

“B-b-but…” I kissed her and said,

“Calm down, calm down. It’s alright. I like it.” She took a deep breath and said,

“Alright… if you say so. After all, I only want to look good for you.” We looked to the side and noticed that Yumi was looking at us the whole time.

“That’s a lot of hickeys….”

“Yumi?! W-what are you doing here?!” Said Kasai.

“Uhm… it’s my house?”

“Right…”

“Where is Shizuka?” I asked with concern.

“She is resting on the sofa… what the hell happened?!”

“It’s… a long story. Can I check on her before I explain?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“By the way,” Said Kasai, “How did you find us?”

“We were waiting downstairs for a while. We met Maria, and she said she was looking for you both, we decided to come to the room and realized what happened. Misaki jumped down the window with her singularity and went scouting for you, she found you, called her gang, and brought you three here. She seemed worried.”

“Is she here? I want to thank her for what she did.” Said Kasai.

“She got a word from the gang that they found the black tombstone hideout, she went there to get the details.”

“Oh, alright.”

“By the way, nice red eye,” Said Yumi, “It looks badass on you.”

“Oh, thank you!” I got up and went to check on Shizuka. I was still incredibly pissed at her, but I still want her to be ok.

“Wait, honey, before you go.”

“Hmm?”

“Do you remember what happened? Before you fainted?”

“Uhm… no, why?”

“You turned into a devil for a second, you looked really scary…”

“Oh, I don’t remember.” Did I turn into a devil? I kind of don’t remember anything at the ending; all I know is that Kasai was winning against Shizuka and then I woke up here.

“Well… I think Maria is right, you probably shouldn’t awaken it.”

“Hmm… if I knew how to, I could avoid it.”

“Talking about Maria, she is here.”

“Oh, she is?” I asked.

“Yeah, in the living room.” I made my way to the living room. I noticed Shizuka sleeping on the sofa, Nightshade eating an apple while looking at Shizuka, and Maria taking a sample of her hair.

“Uhm… privacy?” I said walking up to them.

“Oh, hey big brother!” Said Nightshade.

“Please don’t call me that.”

“Rukito! Ha-ha, I was just you know… I heard she is an angel of the royal family so…”

“Royal family?”

“Yeah, the Aizawa clan is a royal family in the angel planet, together with the Spatium clan.”

“Huh… ok. So why are you here?” I have news for you and your cute fiancé.

“W-who told you?”

“My sister Yumi of course.” Kasai walked in from the guest room and said,

“Hi, Maria! Hey Nightshade!”

“Woah! That’s so cool!” Said Nightshade.

“What is?” Asked Kasai.

“Your red eye!”

“Oh, thanks!” I sat on the sofa next to Maria. Kasai sat next to me.

“So what is it?”

“I'm not sure if I'm right, but based on the testing I did, I discovered some royal devil DNA in her. Furthermore, the devil DNA that she has goes back a very long time; there was once this succubus whose name was, ‘Rei.’”

“A royal devil?” Asked Kasai.

“Yeah, I don't exactly know why, but you have a very identical DNA as Rei.”

“So who is this 'Rei?'” I asked.

“That's the part that impresses me a bit.”

“Huh?”

“Rei wasn't just any normal succubus, she was the very first devil princess that ever existed.”

“DEVIL PRINCESS?!” I looked at Kasai, she had her mouth and eyes wide open. She couldn’t believe what she just heard.

“I never expected to have the DNA of a former devil princess .”

“Yeah, she was alive billions of years ago.”

“So how exactly do you have such DNA in your database?” I asked.

“We don’t, I sent the DNA to an angel friend of mine, they have all of the data.”

“Oh, anything about me?”

“That’s where I’m going to go next.”

“Hm?”

“Your DNA is weird Rukito. You definitely have devil DNA, but you also have angelic DNA… but we know that you’re not a hybrid since you don’t have any angel wings or halo.”

“How is that possible?”

“We’re not sure… not even the angels know. But the angel DNA is small, it shouldn’t change much in you. You’re mostly a devil.”

“Hmm, alright.” We need to know more about our past, there has to be a reason why Kasai and I look alike. “All devils don’t look alike, right?”

“Of course not.” Hmm…

“Does the DNA from Rei have Red hair and yellow eyes?”

“It only had red hair, I’m not sure why Kasai has yellow eyes… well, a yellow eye.”

“Well, we could say that all half devils have yellow eyes right?” Said Yumi.

“Hmm… yeah, we could, after all, you two are the only half devils we have ever seen.”

“So why did one eye turn red?” Asked Kasai.

“Well, probably since you recently awaken your half-devil side, your eye turned red over time, all it had to do was rebuild itself with healing magic.”

“So you’re saying if I awaken my half-devil side, over time one of my eyes will change to red?” I asked.

“Yes, probably. Most likely. You just have to wound it and heal it again so it can rebuild its DNA pattern.”

“Eh, I’m good.” Shortly after, Shizuka opened her eyes.

“Shizuka?” I said. She looked at me and covered her face. I’m guessing she was too ashamed to even look at me. I sighed, and said, “Let’s talk outside…” we both got up and walked outside. It was afternoon, probably around 5:00 PM.

“Rukito… I… I don’t know what came onto me.”

“Shizuka, I won’t forgive you… I’ll tell you straight up,” I looked at her in the eyes, “I won’t forgive you.” I was trying to stay as calm as possible.

“I know… I just wanted to say… I fucked up, I know I fucked up. I now see how much into my head I was… I get it now when you said things like, ‘Open your eyes.’”

“Do you really though?”

“Yes… I…” She started crying and sobbing, “I was so stupid…” Girls genuinely crying are my weak spot… I find it so heartbreaking to hear one cry her eyes out. But this won’t make me forgive what she has done to Kasai.

“…” I didn’t know what to say to this.

“I promise I won’t bring trouble anymore… I just… I just-sob-I just wish for you to forgive me one day…” She covered her face and started crying even more. You have no idea how much I wanted to hug her and comfort her, but this is what she deserves.

“You shouldn’t be apologizing to me… you should be apologizing to Kasai for being such an asshole to her, and you should be thanking her for not hurting you in the fight when she easily could have.”

“I know… c-can you call her out here?”

“Yeah… of course.” It then suddenly started raining. I walked inside the house, walked towards Kasai who was talking to Nightshade and said,

“Kasai. Shizuka wants to talk with you.”

“With me?”

“Yeah.” She walked outside with me where Shizuka was waiting for us.

“How are you feeling, Shizuka?” Asked Kasai.

“I-I’m ok, thank you.” Kasai smiled and said,

“That’s good.”

“H-How…”

“Hm?” Kasai said while looking at Shizuka.

“How can you smile at someone that tried killing you?”

“Aw, come on. No hard feelings, I get it. Us girls sometimes we get caught in our feelings and emotions then do dumb things over boys, especially if we like them a lot. And, we’ve been friends for the longest, it's natural for them to fight once in a while right? Or so I’ve heard… maybe not as big of a fight but you get what I mea—” I looked back at Shizuka and Kasai, and in a blink of an eye, the next thing I know, Shizuka was hugging Kasai firmly.

“Y-yeah… we’re-sob-friends. Really dumb friends.” I couldn’t believe my eyes at that moment… Shizuka was hugging Kasai?! Kasai had her mouth open by surprise as Shizuka was hugging her. Kasai started gently stroking Shizuka’s head while giving a genuine smile. “I’m sorry for hurting you! I’m s-sorry for being rude and cruel to you! I’m thankful for you giving me a second chance… I really am!” This was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, screw the proposal, this is where it’s at.

“S-Shizuka I… I never really had a grudge over all of that, I actually was understanding of your feelings towards me, I really did steal Rukito away from you.”

“You didn’t steal anything… he had a choice, and he chose you since you are better than me. It’s not anyone’s fault but mine!” She yelled as she hugged Kasai tighter.

“Shizuka…” Now that I think about it, Shizuka has never really had a close friend before, I guess ironically enough Kasai will be the first one.

“Instead of hating and loathing you, I should have been friends with you and help you to show Rukito that I am a good person… but I wasn’t… so I deserve all of this.” I’m starting to see that she really is sorry for everything she has done. “But from now on, I’m glad that Rukito has a good person at his side like you, Kasai. I’m glad that he chose the better person, not the worse.” She looked at me and said, “In the end, I just want to see him happy.”

“T-Thank you… Shizuka.”

“And if you’re insecure about anything, I’ll teach you. I’ll teach you how to cook a large variety of foods, I’ll teach you how to raise babies, I’ll teach you how to have professional manners. And I can plan the wedding with you! I also want you to be happy too…”

“I would love that, Shizuka…” The rain made this scene even more heartwarming. I think I was going to turn into Misaki and fall on the ground.

“Don’t get me wrong though,” Said Shizuka while giggling, “I still envy that amazing body of yours.” Kasai giggled back and said,

“Hey, I didn’t ask for it!”

“I know, I know.” They were both giggling together, I think tears started running down my cheeks from this heartwarming moment. Thankfully it was raining so they didn’t notice. I wiped them away, started running towards them with open arms and said,

“Let me join too!” They both quickly moved to the side, and I slid off, faceplanting the floor.

“This has nothing to do with you.” Said Shizuka.

“You just want to take advantage of the situation…” Said Kasai. Sometimes I wonder why they couldn’t just have made a deal for both to be with me so they both could have been happy…

“NO!” They both yelled.

“Oh, was I saying that aloud?” I smiled and looked at them. Got up, then said, “Shizuka, I’m glad you apologized to her, but I still won’t be able to forgive you that easily, you have to prove it that you actually got a change of heart.”

“I know, I will prove it to you, and Kasai.” Kasai looked at Shizuka smiling and said,

“So what made you change your mind?”

“Well… I had a weird nightmare. Additionally, I was able to release the dumb anger I had within me in the fight, so now I realize how stupid all of that was.” Kasai smiled again and said,

“Ah, I see. I’m finally your friend then?”

“Of course you are, Kasai…”
