“arrrgh blood seeping into me”
Zost woke up to find out he was in his room. What a scary nightmare.
It feels really real though.
“Oh you wake up. I worried you might turn into an idiot.”
“Let me check your body.” Anna said.
Anna touched Zost's forehead while three runes shoned from her eyes and brow.
Anna’ mind appeared in Zost's mind domain.
It’s weird. No one in the world should have this total blackness in his mind.
Zost’ mind hugged himself in the center of his mind’s world.
Anna Runes dimmed down then she look straight into Zost’s eyes
“Your body is fine.”
“I have a task for you. Go investigate the gate in the slum area.”
“You can choose to fight or come back to report it to me. I give you, three days”
“Use this protective stone if your life is in danger, It will protect you.”
“Here is a rune map. use one of your runes to resonate with the map.
It will project the town activity to your mind”
Anna assigned a task for Zost.
“What should I look for? a threat, Master mind,or this is an extermination mission?”
Zost asked back.
“... Use your brain, leave already” Anna said in a dead tone.
Zost jolted up then bolted to outside the master’s tower.
On the way, Zost passed by Brother Collin.
“Oui, Zost, How is your body?”
“Master said I’m fine.So I’m fine. I guess”
“Why are you in such a hurry?”
“I’m not. I just run caused Master want me to run”
“??? OKey, see ya”
“see ya”
The Master tower was located in the center most area beside the town hall.
The slum area was surprisingly located not that far from the wealthiest area.

It was located at the north side of the town separated from the rich area by a river, the Jao river.
Zost looked at the cityscape buildings and wondered how mortals in this world live in those buildings. How advand of their science? Did they replace the troublesome tools with magic?
A bus passed by, Zost could only see it passing. He had no money.
He simply didn’t know he could use it for free.
The people dressed mostly cladded with one piece of cloth with monotone color.
The most interesting thing was all of them wore amulets, rune talismans ,or blood vials.
The last time I flew past this zone there were no protective talismans on doors.
What happened to this town?
I arrived at the slum area. There were no single three story high buildings.
People here wore the same one piece of cloth with many patched holes.
They all looked really dirty.
Almost all of them wore blood vial amulets.
That Blood vial amulets. Which symbol did it represent?
A plain cloth boy was running from something, he was the one of few people who didn’t have an amulet.
Nothing was chasing him when I looked behind him. That was not normal.
I followed the boy closely. He turned around the corner. It was a dead end.
The boy was looking around nervously then a trash bin was launched toward him.
I hurriedly cast a water prison spell “Varee”. The trash bin was crushed to the ground.
“Are you ok? What are you running away from?” Zost asked.
“H-Help me, Something scary whispered to me to run away. I don't know what is chasing after me. Sob sob”
“Don't worries stay behind me”
“By the way, what is your name?”
Swoosh. A mirror’s shard drawing some blood by the boy.

He tried to cut Zost's waist but getting cut instead.
A thin water barrier coated Zost skin seamlessly.
Zost secretly casting it for extra caution, he seemed to learn from his mistake.
The boy's strength can’t cut through the barrier.
Zost looked at the boy’s vacant eyes. Then used a water prison on him.
“Wake up!! Hey. Don't give up”
The same mirror shard hovering behind Zost, assaulting him on his neck.
Still not penetrated but Zost tipped over to the boy.
The boy punched Zost on the face and snapped his consciousness out.
“Enough!!” Meiji yelled, then used a wind blade to shatter the mirror shard.
Meiji swooped down on the boy and pinched him to the ground.
This time the boy really lost all the power and blacked out.
Meiji poured a water ball over Zost's head and soaked him entirely.
Zost jolted up, he realized he wasn't drowning.
“Thank you, next time can you help me be more gentle?” Zost protested softly.
“Yes, next time I will punch you face to wake you up”
“Go back to Master’s tower with me.” Meiji said with displeasure.
Meiji flew away with Zost , The boy ,and the shattered mirror’s shards.

8 200The Simulacrum of Dread
The entities known as the Beings of Old have long since staked claims to most of that gem-shaped manifold which is existence. Their alien, furtive, and impenetrably distant politicking has ebbed and flowed throughout past ages, beyond the awareness of most thinking creatures… and recently, it has begun to accelerate. For Sebastio Artaxerxes - and many civilians outside reality’s facets, especially in the transcendent city of Rhaagm - interest in such matters becomes far more pressing after a madman decides to claim a relic of one of the Olds. Sebastio’s demons tell him that fighting the man he once called friend will only end in tears. His soul tells him that tears are only shed by the living, and that the living at least may overcome regrets with time and effort.
8 130Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
