Chapter 3

“Whoa” Moons eyes glimmered. As they travelled through a space pocket a whole planet was visible. She ran towards windows of the pod. And looked outside to have a better view of things. The pod started to enter the planet’s atmosphere. Once they entered the planet’s atmosphere and started to land the ship.

“let’s go” Esmeralda said walking out of the pod once it landed. Garnet and Max following her. Max stopped and looked behind his shoulder to at Moon who was busy taking the Rocky Mountains in.

“What are you waiting for?” Max asked her. She gasped. Max was like 5-7 years old

“How is your voice so deep, while you’re so tiny?” she asked still looking at the amazing wonder Infront of her.

“You will hear my voice as I want you to hear it” he simply answered

“Wait, What?” Moon started to walk out of the pod

“That can only happen if you have the power of telepathy” Moon walked towards him

“Yes, I have the power of telepathy” Max made way for her

“Can you tell me what I am thinking right now” Moon asked

“I know I’m cool” he replied

“Guys come on” they heard Esmeralda yell

“Let’s go this is my favorite part” Max ran away excitedly

Moon ran after him to see Esmeralda walking towards an empty area.

“We’re here” Garnet said

“Esmeralda do your thing” Garnet looked at her

Esmeralda nodded and moved her ancle in a semi-circle with cupped hands and pulled her elbows near her abdomen and she twisted her wrist and pushed.

A part of the earth was pushed with her hands. Moon stared at her in amazement

“You’re an elemental!” She yelled out shocked

“Yes” Esmeralda said as she walked down the area, she pushed open following Garnet and Max

“WHAT!” she yelled again

“Stop yelling will ya” Esmeralda looked her.

Moon ran after them and Esmeralda bended the earth and closed the access to the base. When Esmeralda closed the access, everything was so dark Moon couldn’t see anything. Fire formed in Esmeralda’s hand and she started to lead the way. When they reached an open area underground. Moon could see Esmeralda fire forming in Esmeralda’s throat when she roared fire came out to lit the whole place. It was a mini house underground.

“So, Esmeralda is an elemental, Max is a telepath and Garnet is a healer” Moon said trying to make things clear.

“Yeah pretty much” Esmeralda said and she continued looking at Max

“Max show her to her bedroom” Max nodded as he gestured her to follow him. She followed him outside the room.

“How do you guys like open the doors, I mean all of the doors are made of earth and only an elemental can open them” Moon asked Max

“No, Everything Looks like earth but it is actually metal we stole from Murgs ships and we use our hands” He explained

“Like this” he continued and put his hand on a panel

“Welcome Max” the computer said and the door opened

“You’ll be sleeping with me” he said entering the room

“We didn’t decorate because we wanted you to put your own touch” he said lying down on his bed

“Thanks” Moon thanked

“Welcome” he replied

She sat down on her bed. Meanwhile Esmeralda and Garnet were talking about Ember

“What do you think she looks like?” Esmeralda asked chilling on the sofa

“Who?” Garnet asked her

“You know her past life” she said sitting up straight

“I don’t Know” Garnet replied

“What do you think her name is?” Esmeralda asked Garnet

“I don’t know what to think” Garnet answered

“I’m so excited!” Esmeralda squealed. Garnet looked at her fangirling.

“I wish I had past lives, and you would be mine” Esmeralda said looking at Garnet excitedly. Garnet looked and sighed she knew every time Esmeralda gets excited she always, always gets disappointed and she can’t help but be excited in this case even Garnet was excited but she was good in hiding her excitement.

“We should go to bed” Garnet suggested

“Nooooooo” Esmeralda screamed in voice between low and high and only Garnet could hear her

“If you don’t sleep young lady I will not heal in training” Garnet scolded her

“That’s unfair” Esmeralda defended herself

“It’s hard for me to make you sleep and not mention how hard it is getting you up” Garnet complained about her.

“Oh, I really hope Moon isn’t like both of you” Garnet continued to scold her. Esmeralda couldn’t help but be embarrassed cause she knew she was exactly like Garnet was saying. She wouldn’t go to sleep early and obviously she wouldn’t wake up early.

“Go to bed!” Garnet pointed to the exit

“Buzzkill” Esmeralda mumbled

“What? Don’t you have respect for your elders” Garnet scolded her even more

“Sorry” Esmeralda apologized before Garnet scolds her even more. Esmeralda went to her bedroom

“How come she gets to decide when I sleep and when I wake up?” she grumbled

“Next thing you know she’ll be controlling Murg’s life” she complained and she continued doing it

“What if I sleep and then Murg found our base somehow” her voice died at the word ‘somehow’

“Maybe I should go to sleep, plus these thoughts are so dumb” she chuckled

“I mean Murg finding our base, what was I thinking” she said setting her bed and yawning. She lay down on her bed and fell asleep in less than 10 minutes.

The next morning Moon woke up to Max’s voice.

“What?” Moon groaned in her morning voice

“Get up” Max said.

“We gotta go train” he said leaving the room. Moon woke up and walked to the bathroom. She was pretty excited to see these people to train. She quickly brushed her teeth and left the room. She saw Max waiting Infront of the door.

“let’s go to the training deck” Max said walking. Moon followed him.

When they entered the training deck, they saw Garnet resting with the wall while Esmeralda was fight holograms.

“Training simulation level 30” Esmeralda shouted while panting

“Initiating training simulation level 30” The computer answered.

Five holograms appeared. All five of them charged at Esmeralda she stood there taking a deep breath and blew a lot of air from her mouth two holograms flew away and disappeared after that she gathered water from thin air and shot ice knives and another hologram disappeared then she stood in a squat her hands were fists and her elbows near her abdomen. Then she raised her hands and a boulder raised with her hands she pushed the boulder and it landed on a hologram. Then she looked at the last hologram and lightning was shot at her. she lifted her hand her index and middle finger joined together lightning formed in her fingers. She lifted her other and her index and middle fingers were joined. She connected her fingers together and she pulled her left arm down to her stomach and raised her hand back up. She had redirected lightning and shot it at another hologram. The hologram disappeared.

“Moon, come with me” Garnet said standing up and walking outside the door. Moon followed her. They went to Garnet’s room. Garnet sat down

“Sit down” Garnet said. Moon sat across her.

“You have a past life, right?” Garnet confirmed

“Yes” Moon replied

“Unless, it was a really weird dream” Moon continued

“When did you talk to your past life?” Garnet asked

“Right before I was captured” Moon answered

“What is your past lives’ name?” Garnet asked

“Ember” Moon simply answered

“Do you know how to communicate with Ember whenever you wish” Garnet said

“No?” Moon answered not sure.

“Well you will have to learn then.” Garnet said looking at her.

“How will you do that?” Moon asked.

“Meditation.” Garnet answered.

“How is meditation going to help me?” Moon was extremely confused.

“You see everybody has something called chi, you have to know how to control the flow of your chi. In the training deck you saw Esmeralda redirect lightning. That move is only possible if your chi flows the way you want it to.” Garnet said looking at Moon.

“And I will teach you how to let your chi flow.” Garnet continued. Moon looked at her. Garnet sat down on the floor and giving the signal to meditate Moon looked at her and sat down on the floor Infront of her. They kept meditating for a while when Max stormed in. He stopped when he looked at them Meditating.

“Max! call Moon for breakfast.” Esmeralda shouted from outside and very noisily entered the room from the ground. Max put a finger on his lips and pointed at them. But was too late both of them were looking at Esmeralda and Max.

“Oooops.” Esmeralda said while shrugging.

“Anyways no that you are not meditating you can come to the kitchen for breakfast.” She said looking at Moon. Moon looked at Garnet asking for permission with her eyes.

“I Suppose you can eat breakfast.” Garnet said. As soon as Moon heard those words, she ran outside

“Does she even know where the kitchen is?” Max asked looking at Esmeralda.

“I don’t think so.” Esmeralda said.

“uhm- where’s the kitchen?” Moon came back and asked rubbing the back of her neck.

“Come with me.” Esmeralda said walking out the door. Moon followed her because she was really hungry. They went to the kitchen to eat breakfast; this was Moon’s favorite dish. It was porridge.

“Porridge! I Love Porridge.” She shouted. And sat down happily on the table and started eating it.

“How did u learn to control your chi?” Moon asked with her mouth full.

“My chi?” Esmeralda said after swallowing her spoon full.

“Yeah.” Moon said nodding

“Garnet helped me, like she’s helping u now.” Esmeralda said

“How do u know when you have controlled your chi?” Moon asked.

“You feel something go flow where u want it to flow. Plus, u will know when u have controlled your chi.” Esmeralda answered

“Thanks for your advice.” Moon said sarcastically

“Welcome” Esmeralda said quite happily. Moon just looked at her. A few moments later, the whole area started to shake.

“What is that?” Moon yelled and asked

“Earthquake?” Max suggested.

“No, Not an earthquake, It’s one of Murg’s ships.” She said after taking her slipper’s off and putting her bare foot on the floor.
