018. Dinner Time
'Don't come over here, Don't come over here, please, oh please don't come over here! Charle, Aidan or any other gods, if any of you can hear me please don't let that thing come over here.'
Silence, the only response David got from the gods to his desperate plea was total silence. No matter how much he prayed, begged, or swore at the gods, not one even sent so much as a "Sorry bud, you're done for." as a response.
'Damn gods, they probably all think this situation is hilarious.'
Right at this moment the Jackalope that had been posing on top of the head of the T-Rex that it had just killed as easily as squishing a bug jumped into the air, did a half flip and started to spin at a rapid pace. As David watched on in horrified amazement from the tree roots he was hiding in, the now spinning Jackalope dived into the head of the T-Rex like a drill and after a few moments, it came out again with something shining caught on its antlers. After it landed on the ground in front of its kill it flipped its head sending the shinning thing into the air, after a moment it caught the object in its mouth and a loud crunching sound was heard as the Jackalope ate it.
"Hey, Mimi, you're watching this through my space too right? What was that object it just ate?" After seeing the Jackalope eating the shining object David couldn't help but feel curious about what it was.
"Core, Core, it was the monsters Core. All wild monsters and monsters that want to be able to leave Dungeons for a long period of time need a core to live. The cores are the accumulation of the monsters power, so if another monster eats it they will get some of the strength for them selfs. Even some sentient species have them if they train in certain kinds of energy. They can also be used for other things like powering objects and such."

"Oh, so they are just like monster cores I always read about in fiction on my old world." David seemed to come to an understanding.
"Sorta, sorta, Let's just leave it at that for now. You wouldn't be able to understand it with how stupid you are. =P"
"Burp, Ahh, tasty but so weak. Sigh, why are all the monsters around here so weak. I haven't been able to get a good meal in forever. Oh well, lunch time is over, time to head over to Martha's place and get my groove on! I so love being a Jackalope!"
With that, the jackalope spun on the spot like a worlwind and dashed off into the forest just passing by Davids hiding spot by a mear 2 meters and yelling "Martha here I come." at the top of its lungs.
"It could talk... what the hell is with this place. Next, I will probably see a tree walking around with a hobbit ridding on it."
After waiting for around 5 min to make sure that the Jackalope had left the area David slowly emerged from his hiding place and jiggled over to the body of the T-Rex to examine it. There were cuts and chunks of meat missing all over the body. and the worst of it was the head where the Jackalope did its final move of drilling into the beasts head to get the core.
"Hey, Mimi, why didn't the jackalope eat any of this thing other than the core? Do you think if I tried eating it with my slime body I would get any LF?"
"Idiot, Idiot, are you stupid or something? The Core Has 95% of the monster's energy in it. The flesh only has 5% left in it. Why bother eating it, it would take days to eat it for so little gain. That's why the Jackalope didn't bother with it. Something as strong as that wouldn't bother with all the hassle and time needed for a measly 5% after it already gotten the other 95%. If you ate it you would only get a few hundred LF... WAIT, EAT IT, EAT IT! We can get Free LF, then buy more Jiggly Jiggly and Smoothy Smooth!"

"Eww, why are you drooling, and move your face away from my crystal your dripping!"
With new enthusiasm David took another look around the area, this time he was looking for some smaller chunks of meat that would be easier to start off with. He quickly found a pice the size of a fist and started to absorb it. After about 2 min he had completely dissolved it and got a small pleasant surprise.
Congratulations you have gotten 2 LF.
"Wow Mimi, Do you see that? such a small piece of meat Gave 2 WHOLE LF! that's like eating 2,000 bugs. At this rate, I will have enough LF to buy whatever I want! hehe."
