The Pupa leaned on his cocoon. The shaking had stopped, and he instead heard some shuffling in the distance. The Pupa relaxed, it was still in the midst of transforming into a fly.
He lay back, kept warm by his own cocoon.
He heard the same sound he heard when tearing off the flesh, just on a bigger scale. His threads also shook and moved, and the Pupa began to sense that something was wrong.
An angry yell reveberated, its meaning incomprehensible. He was a Pupa after all, not an expert in foreign languages and their sudden acquistion. If the Pupa had been able to see outside the dragon, he'd see a wizard angrily yelling at a dragon heart - or better, what remained of it. The heart had many holes, all of the same size. The larvae poop still stuck out on some part, and did nothing to lessen the wizards anger.
The wizard proceeded to cut the veins of the dragon, only to find the blood scarce, small remnants mostly crusted, and unuseable. This was the second time he yelled out in anger, and his Mental Power even dropped by 20%.
The wizard looked at his own status in shock, before sighing. "I can't even use the meat, since it's also riddled with holes. But at least I'll can use the soul of the dragon."
He took out a different knife from before. The edge shone in a smaragd glimmer, and the handle was fiercely ornamented with various creatures, some incredibly large, some barely visible, all bowing to a two-mouthed abomination wearing a crown, a zepter in one hand, an apple in the other. Carved beneath was the motto of King Luther the thirty-fourth, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away."
Such a shame, the wizard thought. He was a good king. At least he tried to be one.

With skilled movements he opened up the jaws of the dragon and cut out a large piece of meat. He then carefully broke the skull through the mouth with the handle.
The Pupa got nervous, since a few minutes a non-stopping beat shook through his surroundings, crusty blood fell down like stalagtites and the hollow sound of bone being shapen away went through his cocoon. It was afraid, and tried to latch on the ground with a few strings. His movements were greatly limited, but the Pupa managed to get a couple of strings down. His evolution was far from over, as far as he could tell.
The wizard took out the brain, carrying the Pupa along in the process. The Pupa rolled directly into the brain, hidden from the eyes of the wizard and its attendants. The wizard conjured a jar out of nowhere, and placed the brain inside. The smelly liquid elevated to a third of the glass.
"Diego and Alicia, would you mind brining it to the storage room? Ah, and beware of Swiper, the soul is still inside."
