《Moonlit sky》Chapter 17 - Assassin build

"So what now?" Asked Tenebris.
"Now you should learn how to use laws here, your laws of darkness is rapidly rising in levels just because your soul has memory of those laws, and once you come to your previous point it will drastically slow down, so learn to use laws here, you already created couple of skills that are connected with darkness, now think of something more. And latter i will explain talents to you." Explained Lulu.
"Talents? There is even that here?"
"Yes, you received notification about it, i just put it away for now until you first realise what are you going to do."
"Okay, if you think it is best like that, do you have any ideas about laws?"
"I don't, i never studied laws of darkness so i don't really know much about it, just try recreating some of your old skills that you used to use."
"I already tried that, but it won't accept most of them."
"Then there must be some flaws in those techniques, correct those flaws and there shouldn't be any problems then, this system thing is done pretty well, if you do something for an enormous amount of time or do something good enough it will create a skill for it, but some more rare or difficult techniques will take a bit longer to create."
"So its like that, so do you think i should create simpler ones first or go for the top immediately?"
"Why not do both, take this whole day to practice, in the end just perfect up techniques that you didn't manage to finish. Got any techniques in particular in mind now?"
"Yes, couple, Path of Violence firstly, i need good aggressive abilities, that should give me nice amount of aggressiveness, what should i do after that?"

"Well you have a battle movement technique, which is totally dumb in my opinion, you are an assassin, you need assassination skills not battle skills, how many of those Path of Violence techniques are actually good for assassinations?"
"All of them, not one technique i ever knew was useless, you never know in what situation you might end up on your next task, so i learned a variety of them."
"Well that for a change doesn't sound dumb, then do you know any ambushing skills?"
"Well if it's ambushing skills with laws of darkness i have few, Shadow Steps are maybe best choice, Dark Twin might be useful for distractions, Dark Freedom is good for immobilising opponents..."
"Okay stop there, if you continue like this you will be exhausted by the end of the day just counting how many abilities you got, tell me, what is the most important thing a good assassin has to have?"
"Patience."
"And after that?"
"Well, speed is perhaps..."
"So speed it is then, find most useful ability that you can use to increase your speed."
"Well that should be Shadow Steps, but it isn't pure speed skill, its more like movement skill."
"What does it do?"
"I can create Dark Marks and place them wherever i want in my field of vision and teleport through darkness to them, its a skill i used the most for my assassinations, i can appear anywhere and strike immediately."
"Good, create that skill then, focus on those 2 skills for now, we will think of anything lacking later, now go train while i think a little."
Couple of hours later Tenebris finished with his meditation and started swishing his hands randomly across the room.
"What are you doing?" Asked confused Lulu.

"I'm placing Dark Marks, i just finished creating that skill but there are minor problems with it, i need to figure it out so i can fix it." Answered Tenebris.
"What minor problems are you talking about?"
"This system restricted my ability, instead of unlimited range it gave me limited range of 3 meters anywhere around me, although i don't have to see where i am placing my mark anymore, 3 meters is too little for assassinations. Second problem is that it has cooldown time, i can't use it indefinitely, placing marks doesn't trigger cooldown, activating them has 30 seconds cooldown. Third problem is that i am restricted to one mark at the time only instead of indefinite number, its like they put the chains on me."
"They?"
"The guys whoever created this stupid system, who else?"
"Hahaha you really think it took more than one people to create this system? Let me ask you something, if you wanted to do something at least similar to this, how many laws would you have to master to do it?" Asked amused Lulu.
"I don't know, i cant even feel on what law principles is this system working."
"Well the answer is almost all of them, but i can tell you what are main laws that make this system going, those are chaos, time, space, death, life and last but not least creation. Dungeons are created by laws of space and time, law of chaos regulates operability of system so that it is never predictable and law of creations is basic frame for everything. But one funny thing you certainly didn't think about is amount of power required to make this system and put entire world into it, you cant even imagine that amount of power, actually i think no one on this world can."
"So basically you are telling me a god created this system?"
"In a way yes, but not just any god, not all gods are equal in power, this new overlord of this world is one of the most powerful gods that ever existed, so do you really think someone that powerful has a need to restrict you just because he wanted to do so, this whole world is like an ant farm to him, you are lucky enough he isn't some spoiled kid that took magnifier glass and started roasting you guys."
"No, he just took giant cage and made a show to entertain himself."
"He isn't kind of man to do something this large just for entertainment..."
"You talk like you know him."
"I might know him, or i might be lying, who knows, anyway, your restrictions will be softer once you level up your spell so dont bother with it now and go finish up your second spell, i still have to think some more."
