《Gratuitous Item Crafting and Descriptions (and shoddy economics)》Helmet of Ice and Excessive Greed

Jimmy admired his nice ring and thought for a few minutes figuring out what to make next. He ran through shields, swords, daggers, boots, another few rings, and then decided upon a helmet. Relaxed from the previous significant success, he didn't really think that heavily and just wanted to see how potent a creation that would definitely sell quite well, as the money making was his temporary priority. "Money! money! Money!" And with thoughts of money, he began.

Several different ingots were smashed with great force with his hammer against the resilient anvil. He just kept hitting and smacking the metal into shape. Shoving it into the flames and dousing and bending - obviously in the correct way, but not one that anyone who wasn't a blacksmith would remotely understand - and crafting some nails and rivets and nuts and bolts and temporarily thinking about what the normal headshape was.

Slowly but steadily the helmet was being formed. Jimmy was repeatedly adding ice mint flakes into the flame to follow his intuition, focused on cold and money. Piece by piece the skeleton then the other parts were expanded upon and beaten and molded and sometimes cooled. His chisel whispered out of his tool belt and darted in and out shaving off miniscule pieces of partially melted - a bit like butter - metal shavings to get everything perfect.

Patterns of frost and mountain appeared over time. Carefully, carefully, did Jimmy make a master-piece. It was a complicated helmet. It had neck protection, fully back of the head, top of the head, chin, and a visor that opened up quietly. It glowed with a very faint ice-blue sheen, and when Jimmy put it on, he felt cool but not cold, and his thoughts on how rich he'd become went up by a couple of orders of magntitude. He grinned "I am going to get so much money out of this."

He then hurriedly took it off, wiped it down and polished it, and then brought it to show to his father, who glowed in happiness that could be seen from his expression and not just with Jimmy's personal enhancement.

His "dad" clapped him on the back, looked him in the eyes and said, "Jimmy. Good work, you are amazing. This will sell for a large amount of money and we can get you more gems and get your tools an upgrade so that you can make even more of these things. Nice ring by the way, you can obviously keep it if you want to. Let's have some steak and beer and partyyy!"

Jimmy smiled and humoured his "dad" and danced a bit of a jig and got drunk and they did many cheers about how rich they would become.

The next day, the Helmet of Ice and Excessive Greed was sold to a very wealthy sell-sword, who went on to fight a fire dragon successfully due to the flames getting neutralized by the enchantment, and once the entire-day-long duel of great heroism and destruction was over, the Fire Dragon's head was on the ground, the hoard was broken open, and the sellsword-cum-Dragon-Slayer was grinning in the middle of the hoard, refusing to leave as he fought waves of interlopers who wanted his new hoard.

When the Dragon Slayer needed food, he would hurry down to the town and buy entire wagonloads, and then hurry back up to his hoard and then he would fight off any interlopers. Eventually he didn't feel as though his hoard was big enough and so he started doing raids and extracting bribes and tolls for protection money.

Dragon Slayer would only do this after using some of his Hoard to buy A Sword of Extreme Skill and Blood-Thirsty Narcism from a rising star called Jimmy.
