Previously on 'To Remember...'
“Blue as in…” Mordred trailed off, raising a brow for confirmation.
“Yes” I replied with a firm nod
“That is a little bit…” Mordred seemed uncomfortable.
“I can’t?” I asked quietly.
“Eh?! Definitely you can!” he beat his chest, “Nothing is impossible for My Lady! However---”
“What?”
“You have to go back to Vetranos” he said almost inaudibly.
At those words, we both became silent and stared at each other.
“Is there a way?” I broke the silence.
Mordred’s eyes widened, “Your majesty!” he screamed.
I covered his mouth and glanced around, “We are still in the mall, sshhh” I chided
“Sorry” he mumbled thorough my fingers, “but…”
“Is it bad that I am interested?”
“No, not at all. In fact it is the best thing I’ve heard ever since coming to this earth. But I don’t have enough strength to protect Your Majesty if we go while you’re in this state….” He began trailing off again.
‘State?’ I thought.
“Memories?” I asked.
He shook his head viciously and looked me in the eye, “Strength”
My gaze softened and I smiled, “I know, I saw myself in action”
He was visibly surprised then his expression changed to a shocked one, “D-Did you…?”
I shook my head. He guessed what ‘in action’ meant and he knew that the me now couldn’t kill people easily like before. But I knew that me being like this was not good for me or Mordred as I tied him down to this boring pace of mine.
I stood up and Mordred to and I began to walk away without a word. He soon caught up and stayed behind me.
“Stand by my side. We aren’t in battle” I said softly.
I couldn’t see his expression but I could imagine it dumbfounded or surprised. “We need to get home, Valerie must be waiting” I said as he moved to stand beside me.
I brought out my iPhone 8z to check the time. 5:20pm. We were not late at all.
We walked in silence all the way home.
At the black gates, I stopped and waited for them to open up. Mordred had disappeared back into me.
‘Hey Mordred’ I began.
‘Yes, My Lady’
‘I…next time, I will look’
‘Eh…?’
‘I will definitely look, ok?’
He was silent but I knew what he meant by strength and I knew he understood. It wasn’t just my physical strength. My mental fortitude was lacking.
And Vetranos was probably a place where the weak minded could not survive.

“Big!!!!” Margaret shrieked as she looked at the turkey platter.
“And here I thought turkeys were for thanksgiving” I said teasingly.
“That too”, Valerie smiled as she divided up the food for Christmas Eve dinner, “ but we forgot to buy one on Thanksgiving anyways”
“True” I chuckled and began to eat.
“You say that but you’re going to devour everything” John said jokingly.
“What?” I retorted, “You’re the one whose stomach is like a black hole”
This dinner was one of our rare family dinners. FULL family I mean. One of them was missing from the equation more often than not.
“I want to eat dish!” Margaret hollered pointing at the salad.
She was fond of vegetables unlike most children.
“I want to eat this” I corrected her.
“Yes, dish!” she smiled at me revealing a space in between her teeth that looked like one had fallen out although none had yet.
‘It looks delicious’, Mordred commented from inside

‘Ho~, you’re interested in actual food’ I nodded in confirmation. Come to think of it, I’d never seen him eat ever since he came.
‘Your Majesty’ he sounded dejected, ‘what do you see me as?’
‘A creature’ I stated matter-of-factly
‘Your Majesty, if I may contend, you are a creature too’
‘That is true’ I nodded.
‘Then, I don’t understand what you mean’
‘You are not supposed to’ I thought flatly.
‘Your Majesty!’
‘My Lady’ I corrected
‘Eh~’
‘Lady!’
‘But…’
‘Then call me Agnes’
He let out an audible sigh of defeat.
I smiled.
“Elizabeth, you’ve been nodding the whole time and now you’re smiling…?” Wilson’s voice came through and I looked up from my food shocked.
‘Well shit’ I cursed.
John was holding back his laughter. ‘He laughs at everything I do!’
Valerie just looked at me a tad curious.
‘My Lady, fighting!’
‘Shut up!’ I pouted pissed.

Lilian Harrison sat on her bed and looked at the door. At least that’s what she looked on the outside. But she was deep in thought.
Today she had seen something strange.
Yes, it truly was strange.
The strange thing was standing beside her former friend, Elizabeth Baker.
She called it a thing because she wasn’t sure if it was even human. It was too marvelous to be human.
She had followed Elizabeth and the ‘thing’ to Markey’s and even followed them inside. Many times the thing would stop and look in her direction but she would hide.
Everything was fueled by pure curiosity until she heard, “Do not touch my woman” from the thing. (AN: One of ‘those’ human brains….)
Everything fitted now.
‘The reason Elizabeth broke up with Jason was for this guy and not for me!’ Lilian had shrieked inwardly at the time and ran home as fast as her untrained legs could carry her.
She had been extremely pissed at Elizabeth for pitying her and giving up on Jason but it would seem now that she was very wrong. Lilian liked Jason but she wanted Jason the right way. What exactly the right way was she couldn’t decide but having her friend… former friend give up on the man for no other apparent reason at the time vexed her. When Lilian had thought about it the only conclusion she came to was ‘It was because of me’. And she grew mad.
'BUT Elizabeth gave up on Jason because she had another guy!' Lilian was dumbfounded.
(AN: she has recognized the 'thing' as a guy, lolz)
Lilian flushed red and collapsed on the bed embarrassed. She had sworn to make Elizabeth pay for not treating her as a rival.
She sighed, “This is the worst” and grabbed a pillow slapping her head with it.
“You do have her smell”, a sweet and seducing voice resounded throughout the room.
Just the voice itself called one gave one a feeling of calm and pleasure.
Lilian narrowed her eyes. She would have been captivated… had the voice been male.
“Who is there?” She whispered grabbing her scissors from beside her bed lamp and getting up.
“Eh~ that doesn’t matter” the voice chuckled, “I just knew that monster was not dead, I just knew it hohohoho~”
Lilian’s eyes darted around the room looking for the source, “s-sho-ow y-y-yourself” she stuttered.
This was getting a bit creepy. Where was the voice coming from?!
“That’s impossible darling. I would but I actually can’t” the female voice replied sweetly, “It’s not that strong but you do have her smell. Granted it’s not as strong as the smell on the other ones but one… I refuse to believe is female, the other is too small and the other is too old” the voice sighed, “Men are not my type either”

“W-What are you talking about???” Lilian yelled, now getting scared. She didn’t know why she was getting scared though.
“Calm down~ don’t go hysterical on me. I prefer a sane mind” the voice continued playfully, “I just need to make sure ok~ Now, s-le-e-p” it sung and Lilian slowly fell to the floor.
“Lilian dear, are you ok? You were screa---- what are you doing on the floor?” the door to the room flew open and a voice said.
“Ah I screamed because I fell of the bed. It’s nothing” came the indifferent reply.
“Oh, be careful”
“Yes…dad”
The man left closing the door behind him.
“Hmm, this girl is interesting” the voice was heard again but this time, it came from Lilian’s mouth.
‘Lilian’ sat up. “She even looks just like the ‘Violet Gladiator’ herself. I wonder what her reaction will be to see me here, hihihihi”
Then the voice turned cold, “….seeing as she fled alone” and Lilian’s eyeballs were suddenly gone leaving only the white of her eyes. They were just plain white.
“Hmm~” the voice returned playful and the turquoise eyes that usually resided there appeared again.

Maddie West finished taking out the trash and headed upstairs to her room.
She let out a large belch signaling that she was full of food and sat on her bed.
She had just finished eating with her family and wanted to watch Transformers: The Desert of Ages. It was pretty new and had just left cinema’s. She opened up her laptop and went to her favorite website, www.watchanymoviefree.com. The pop-up ads were non existed and the movies were HD.
People were always talking of illegal websites this and illegal websites that, yet they used the website anyways. Maddie didn’t care if it was legal or not, as far as she could watch the movie in good quality. She’d been meaning to watch it since it came out in June but the gym, and part time took up her time. Also Elizabeth, her best friend.
She had quit the part time after she got enough money to buy her boyfriend a good birthday gift. At that thought, her cheeks flushed light pink. ‘Boyfriend’ was a word she never thought she’d be able to use. Given her body structure, even if she tried to flirt she’d be taken as gay.
Only when people did a double take did they notice she had breasts. Her breasts weren’t small not in the slightest, in fact they were huge. She had no idea why people would think she was a boy first even with all the evidence that she wasn’t.
He was just one of the vast guy that she’d liked but never bothered to tell. That was until he told her first. Her reply was:
“Who dared you?”
She simply couldn’t believe he’d confess or that anyone would ever in her lifetime. She considered her mother lucky that men of ‘that time’ didn’t mind the face but her face looked like a boy’s. It didn’t resemble a female’s at all. It wasn't only her face though, she was also a toned body that resembled a male's because of her obsession with boxing. But she was a girl. She wasn’t even ugly by male standard.
She was actually very handsome and earned some envy with boys which in its own way was weird. It was as though God made a mistake and put the boobs and the vagina there.
But it would also seem that God was sorry for his mistakes and made a guy like her. That was how she viewed Scott, her boyfriend. God’s gift out of apology. Of course she wouldn’t know that if he knew she thought of him this way, he’d bawl.
She shook her head from almost fantasizing about the said man and proceeded to search for her movie.
“To think I’d have to resort to a lady…. This is second time” came a smooth, calming male voice.
She looked up to see no one, “Henry?” she called as it could be her younger brother playing tricks on her with some voice amplifier or changer.
“That isn’t my name though”
“Is that so, my apologies”, she decided to play along with her brother, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears, “what is your name?” she asked and brought her knees to face level.
“My name?” the voice burst into resounding laughter.
It was so loud it made Maddie flinch, ‘Gee…Henry should turn the amplifier down a notch’ She thought reminding herself to lecture him about it when their little interaction was over.
“Sorry, Sorry! it’s been 200 years since I was asked that question. Funny enough, it was asked by the Ice Queen herself” the voice said amidst laughs.
“My name is Vodka” the voice said one its laughter had calmed down.
“Wha--- what have you been reading lately, Henry?! An eight year old shouldn’t be casually calling Vodka! Come out of your hiding place this instant!” she yelled and stood up.
There was no answer.
“I don’t have time to play hide and seek! Come out now or I’ll tell mother” Maddie threatened. The ‘mother’ threat always worked.
“Ha-ha and here I thought….no never mind” the voice sounded a tad disappointed, “I need your help for a while. In fact, I just need to take your body”
‘He’s not coming out’ She thought.
“Henry!!!” Maddie screamed enraged, “We will go to your room this instant and you will show me what on earth you’ve been looking at!!” (AN: this woman…what is her mind exactly?)
“Well” the voice continued ignoring her cries, “I would have chosen the other male but he is a bit too ugly and old for my tastes. The other one doesn't have much of the Ice Queen's power residue on him. You, however, have the perfect look… only setback is you are a girl”
“Wait ….what are you talk----”she stopped mid speech as her eyelids fell and she slowly made her way to floor….
And the door flew open with a wham.
“What is it, Maddie?” a petite black haired boy grumbled licking ice cream on a stick, “Quit screaming my name” he continued and left as fast as he’d come slamming the door behind him.
“How curt” ‘Maddie’ chuckled and combed her hand through her blonde hair, “Red…would be a better color” she said softly.
“How exactly she lived through ‘that’. I really want to know” the voice said proudly and ‘Maddie’ got up and walked to the window. ‘She’ stood and stared at the full moon with the light reflecting of her yellowish-brown eyes, then whispered, “Thank you”

I was still trying to convince Wilson and Valerie that I did not have an imaginary friend nor was I crazy.
“Lizzy don’t have friends?” Margaret asked with her mouth full.
And this little twerp wasn’t helping in the least. John was busy washing up in the kitchen.
Suddenly I heard a gasp from Mordred. He was rarely ever surprised. What happened?
Then he spoke and I could barely hear despite him being in my body.
“No way…”

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)

Two Existentialists | S.R.
"How many existentialists does it take to screw a lightbulb?" Spencer asked with a small laugh. Once again the room was silent. You faintly heard Agent Rossi mutter, "Don't.""2. One to change the light bulb and one to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness," he said. The room was silent still, until you laughed. His eyes looked up at yours in confusion. "Wouldn't they sit in the dark and hope that the bulb decided to light again? An existentialist would never change the bulb. He would allow the darkness to exist," you questioned.-#1 #spencerreid#1 #mgg#1 emilyprentiss
