Dear self,

Tori woke us all up with a melody of singing birds. It was that little toy that sang and twittered whenever dawn came, except it soon became clear that the sound was coming from his voice, which should go without saying is not supposed to happen.

He had a little fun evading us as we tried to pin him down while he impishly kept singing in bird tweets. He was clearly more interested in messing around with his voice altered than trying to solve the problem. He kept sending us these adorable smiles as he raced around, but they did not dissuade me from the chase.

When we pinned him down Mum examined him to see that his voice has indeed been glamoured somehow with the same glamour tied to the Dawn Melody charm he had fused together recently. We might need to prepare something to remove the glamour from him directly but as it is it might be safer to let it run its course and fade naturally from his body. For now he will keep singing like a bird.

Mother started working on a cure for Tori in between working on the enchanted hat she was commissioned for. We already tried my Incuria but it only made his bird song sound weird instead of dispelling it. I might be able to figure out a potion but I don’t have the materials at the moment. I made three more of the Daylight potions for Nyri’s Sunbeam Aurora. She’s been selling a few of the drink already as an expensive luxury and gave me a few bottles of absinthe for our supplies. Tori decoded to come along into town while Mum was busy and wanted to show off his bird voice to everyone that would hear to the bemused expression of all the adults present.

Mum wanted me to start working on what kind if wondrous item I could create out of the silver leaves I had collected from near the rift. She showed me how to make it into rift foil and went through the entire lecture about how to properly seed a wondrous item. My previous two attempts thus far at a wondrous item have mutated into failure, so she made sure to go over all the basic facts all over again.

The most important part other than the various isolation and stabilization workings, is to have a prolonged flux directed into the item over a period, which makes it something impossible to do over a small period of time even if you had all the power in the world. The only way around that is wild independent manifestations which have no reliability of any kind. I also needed to decide which kind of item I could base off of a material with displacement properties. It’s largely a passive property so I should avoid anything ambitious like teleportation and maybe stick to warping space slightly in some way. If I use it with a glamour it might be able to project illusions into the surroundings.

Since it is the full moon we spent a few hours in the garden after Tori was put to bed. The Wistblume flowers opened only during the full moon and needed to be harvested tonight or we’ll have none of them from this month. Mother also performed a ritual to gather Moonglance essence with some imbibing of absinthe. The Wistblumes were a string blue colour this month which is a good sign for the material quality. Moonglance is best collected during autumn so we only got a normal amount of Moonglance instead of the quantity of Nightgloom I gathered on the first of the month. Seeing the sheen of the moonlight glowing from within the wistblume gave me an idea for a glamour which I might work on tomorrow.
