13th Light beneath the eleventh Moon
3761 Cycles beyond the Dark
722 Years after the Repentance
Entry: 1/030
Dear self,
I had a very dream through the night that had Rahph in it. The Darcinderaht was lazing on a wide rock beneath a cloudless noon. It had that unblinking snake stare as always which somehow swapped between making it look creepy or dumb looking. I didn’t recognise any of the thin brush looking trees or the tall yellow grass, but it was clearly a natural place for the critter if it was so comfortable in circle of blackened earth that had somehow not charred the trees too badly despite how dry they seemed. I dreamed the sunlight being so warm and comfortable that I could do nothing except lie down and soak it in.
Waking up back where winter ruled was somewhat unpleasant, and I stayed in bed a little too long. The morning brought nothing strange. Mum got a commission for enchanting a hat which might take a few days to finish. I took the potions back into town today and one of the innkeepers wanted to buy the Daylight potion to try and make a drink out of it.
Anora and I took some supplies just past noon. It was actually quite a short march from out house to reach the rift. There was not a lot of power being transferred through the rift so it closed naturally with just a grounding circle stabilizing it enough to heal. The hardest part was actually keeping my Incuria controlled to avoid interference. Anora might even have been able to seal it alone if she exerted herself. There was a little mishap where a sliver of the rift nearly stretched outside of our grounding circle but I caught it early enough. The Dawdlium that started springing up all over helped with manipulating space to encourage the rift closing.

I collected a few swaths from the tree that had developed silvered leaves near the rift. They might end up being interesting somehow, so I took them back to analyze their properties after exposure to the rift. With Anora helping stripping a few branches was quick work.
She eventually did decide to tell me about what was on her mind, likely tired from all the occasional glances I shot her the entire morning. The sigil we found imprinted in the ground belonged to an Asura she knew of apparently. He was a war-like godling with arrogant and self-righteous tendencies from even before the Repentance, which is a minority among most living Asura. She had been concerned when we found the site of the Asura skirmish because she thinks he might be a danger to the surrounding if anything catches his interest here.
A man from the Rangers Guild arrived at last. He was covered in snow and ice over his face but his badge reacted positively with the token the Rangers had mailed us and with Mum here there was no possibility that he was fooling the blood magic involved, even if he was a shapeshifter. He took Rahph, and Tori was sad, but it was something that should have happened a good while ago already. The critter was still stuffed into a carry cage, but it seemed nicer than the other one. He also smacked a weather charm onto Rahph which seemed to help the critter deal with the wet cold directly. They like roots and tubers best, so if I ever see another Darcinderaht I’ll know what to feed it next time.
Hope we fare well.
Regards,
Me.

The Wolf Saga, Wolf that Devours Empires
The Empire of Human is about to enter a turbulent era. A World Power has fallen. But mere hours after dying, he is reborn as a half-human, half-elf boy named Wolf. The story follows this odd boy as he grows up, his relationship with his father and those around him, his lack of common sense from being raised in the wilderness, and his desire for revenge. Witness Wolf's journey as he aspires to climb to the peak of the world to unravel its mysteries, and as he tries to figure out why it’s wrong to decapitate a street thug when the man tries to mug you. “I mean, the man literally said ‘Money or life,’ so what’s the big deal?” Releases Mon/Wen/Fri. (GMT-ish) Trigger warning. The Wolf Saga may not be suited for you if any of the following disturbs you: - The story will have fighting and killing. The gore will not be explicit, but there will be descriptions such as "head burst like a melon", "instantly turned to cinders", "blood splashed/fountained" etc. Most of the violence will be performed by the protagonist, some of it before he reaches his teens. If such scenes bother you, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have sexual content. It's there for a reason. Once again, these scenes will not be explicit. Genitals will be mentioned sometimes, but never described in detail. Nude bodies will be described in passing, without too many specific details. If you're afraid of nipples, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have a decent amount of cursing. If you haven't given up by now, this is unlikely to bother you. Still, I believe I should forewarn you that a number of curse words will be making appearance from time to time. - The story will have no small amount of loss for the main character. If you enjoy novels in which everything is fine, the protagonist makes it at the last moment and saves the day... This is not such a story. Life happens. As a reader, I'm annoyed with heroes making it in the nick of time, so for the sake of fairness I used dice on a number of occasions, making do with the result. Sometimes it was anticlimactic, sometimes it was tragic and it led to the story you see before you. Dedication: This story is written for Tired Mom and Wolf, whose arrival the rest of the pack is eagerly awaiting. Thanks: I would like to thank Tired Mom for her proofreading and encouragement over the years. I would like to thank you, Dear Reader, for taking the time to read this big pile of words.

Millenia ago, humanity faced a catastrophe. Some devastating, catastrophic event that even to this day leaves its impact on humankind and the Earth. That’s not where our story takes place though, instead we look to space, where humans have taken up residence among the stars. Living in huge industrial space stations, life is a bore. Dull daily routines are broken only by extravagant fashion, music, and other means of self expression. Also, of course, the lifeblood of the stations- games. Four months ago, humanity was contacted by the first ever known alien life forms. These aliens, calling themselves the Erta offered their designs and schematics for their True Virtual Reality (TVR) console, as well as access to their game in exchange for peace. And humanity, excited at the opportunity to achieve one of their life long dreams (that is, to experience True VR), graciously took them up on their offer. Now, after scientists have finally confirmed the console to be safe for humans, the game is to finally be released to the public. This comes to the joy of most of the population, but a small portion of them can't help but be upset. As thousands of the researchers meant to be developing virtual reality, are fired overnight. Meet Brian Reed, one of these newly unemployed workers. Now, join Brian as he explores the very game that was the death of his job. And watch as he learns that the game is not quite what it seems.
