《Author Vs Protagonist》Chapter 20: XXX

Not expecting Division Head Nar to completely spill everything, Zhang Wei was flabbergasted. He was also kind of pissed that she crushed his plans before they even came to fruition.
How can you just spill everything you dumba**! You were supposed to panic and be forced to make up a bullsh*t excuse. After that I would corner you again and make you struggle like a small little lamb. Pah! Whatever.
Although Zhang Wei was basically chiding her for spilling everything, he still had to commend her firmness. If she had made up a bullsh*t excuse, he could easily make her look like a fool.
However, if she spilled everything, she would pose herself to be sincerely asking for Zhang Wei’s help. It would be hard to reject her invitation again without looking like a jerk. And if word got out, Zhang Wei would be placed in a disadvantageous position.
But Zhang Wei was the most shameless person in the world! How could he just do something that could benefit his opponent. He had to be in a situation where only he could gain benefit.
Other people only exist for him to take advantage of. Rich people have money for the sole reason Zhang Wei would take everything they own while looking like a saint.
Zhang Wei immediately thought of a meticulous plan. A plan so formidable that he could not help but chuckle at the savagery of his own mind. Nothing could make him stop now.
Muahhahaa! I will make you XXX, while you XXX yourself and be forced to XXX.
His inward smile was so devious, one could not mistake him for a pervert that owns a dungeon.
“Division Head Nar’s sincerity has touched Zhang Wei’s putrid heart that he could not help but assist her in her efforts to strengthen her camp in the upcoming power struggle. Zhang Wei certainly had no plan whatsoever about XXX, and surely no plan to make her XXX, while looking like XXX. Zhang Wei could not possibly be that trashy.”

The Author couldn't possibly have a protagonist that is that devious, so he of course had to butt in.
At this point, Zhang Wei did not know if he wanted to curse at the Author, or just cry himself asleep.
For the sake of entertainment for the readers, he will curse of course!
Damn it! You sh*tty Author! Do you even know how hard it was to come up with that plan! You know right?! I’m sure you do, you a**hole. And whats with making her look like a good person? She is shady as heck! Do you think she is sincere? Are actually blind!
After suffering from the Authors words for a while, Zhang Wei was basically immune to all his snide remarks. But this time, the Authors words regarding his plan made him red in shame.
Was he such a trash individual that he actually thought to keep Division Head Nar in a XXX ,and make her dressed up in XXX while doing the XXX? It seems his morality had taken a steep turn when he came to this world.
Back in his old world, XXX was looked down upon as being the epitome of trashiness. If you thought about someone in a XXX while doing the XXX then you were basically the lowest rung of human society.
Forget it. Zhang Wei could not be bothered anymore with the Author’s direct neglect of his feeling. His job now became harder. If he immediately agree to with Division Head Nar’s request, then she would start to suspect him.
He had to push a little bit before looking as if he gave up and just surrendered himself.
The biggest concern is, how far should he push Division Head Nar? If he was too rough with his actions, then she might give up and Zhang Wei would have to put down his pride and beg her to let him join. If he did not push far enough, then she would have power over him in the future.

Right now I just need to make sure to not seem like I’m too desperate.
Zhang Wei looked at her and with a calm face said, “Oh? And for what is this power struggle meant to do? Are you planning to take over the position of Headmaster?”
“Nothing of the sort. I do not like to indulge myself in hostile takeovers. The reason as to why I’m even doing this is to ensure the Medical Division does not get swallowed when the actual power struggle occur. To be honest, I would like to prevent the takeover from succeeding. While that man is not the most likable, he at least knows boundaries and allows the divisions to operate autonomously.”
Division Head Nar already spilled everything to Zhang Wei by telling him there was a power struggle going on. Zhang Wei most probably would guess the whole story from that sentence alone, so there was no logic in keeping Zhang Wei in the dark. Why not score some extra points by being sincere?
“Is the person instigating this takeover looking to take control of all of Zarion Academy’s assets?”, Zhang Wei asked. While he could already guess the motives and modus operandi, it would be better to confirm everything.
“That I cannot confirm, but she will most probably take everything she could. My Medical Division is the weakest among all the 4 major divisions and will most likely be targeted if I stand by and do nothing.”
Division Head Nar made sure her intentions were clear to Zhang Wei. While she did not necessarily like the Headmaster, she had no intentions of rebelling.
The reason she said this was as a fail safe plan, in case Zhang Wei might feel hesitant to commit an act of treason. She had to paint out that she was in the right side.
Zhang Wei smiled and thought, This is my cue.
He looked up with a serious expression, “I’m glad that you are in the Headmaster’s side Division Head Nar. I was actually indebted to the Headmaster, and it would not be in my conscience to scheme against him.”
Zhang Wei took a second before continuing, “Since Division Head Nar is sincere towards me, I have no reason to reject your proposal. However, I would have to refrain myself from being your disciple.”

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O.
