Chapter 11
“-Annnnnd welcome back to GONE studios! Your choice pick for gaming news! You know how we do things from the get-go and that is to bring the hottest news of the gaming world to you!-” a female voice broadcasts from a small tablet being held in a student’s hand inside the cafeteria.
The cafeteria itself is littered sparsely with varying clusters of students that are either eating their respective meals or conversing quietly in groups. Lirin looks over at the student with the tablet from where she is sitting a couple tables away and sighs to herself.
~I wonder how my brother is doing. I haven’t talked to him since yesterday morning. All he does is go inside that capsule looking thing every day and doesn’t come out. Even for his work that he has put off, he doesn’t come out~
“Liri!” A couple of girls’ call for her across the cafeteria.
She waves at them and starts shuffling over a couple seats to make room for them.
“Scarlet, Ruki, annnnnnd Kyleigh. What brings you guys to the cafeteria? You all usually sit outside in the courtyard.” She asks politely.
Scarlet, being named according to her luscious and bright red hair, swaggered over to lean against Lirin’s table in her tightly fit jeans, highlighter green converse, and a black t-shirt that had the large white words “U MAD BRO?” plastered over the front of her veritable bust.
She cut a striking figure with her red hair, curving body. A face that had a glossy feel to it, as if sculpted from jade. An hour-glass figure paired with charm and the confidence that would invariably make any man swoon.
“Oh you know, wanted to spend some time inside for once. Ruki here decided that she would like to try one of the cafeteria lunches and Kyleigh wants some air conditioning. So I had little choice in the matter.” Scarlet says nonchalantly.
“Oh well, I think the cafeteria lunch today seems to be a couple slices of slow roasted pork and your choice of condiments. What do you think about the latest info circulating on the forums?” Lirin asks the three.
Ruki sits down on the bench next to her and sets her backpack on the floor. She was a small little lady, never reaching past 1.7 meters (about 5’6”), but what she lacked in height she made up for with her lithe figure. Every movement she made was graceful in the extreme, as if she spent all of her years in a dancing hall.
She had a slim and elegant face, straight silky jet black hair that barely reached her shoulders, and earthy hazel colored eyes that would put any man at ease.
“About which VR game?” Ruki asks in an ethereal voice.
“I’m pretty sure you know. Everyone knows, right now! I’m talking about that war that is happening with the rogue A.I. inside that new game that’s coming out later this month called Neos.”
“-And now onto the main event! An inside source has apparently released information regarding Neos by Corellec!-” the female voice rings out from the tablet.
All traffic within the cafeteria stops and starts focusing on the tablet that is in the students hands. This subsequently made the tablet-carrying student become slightly unnerved by all the attention within the cafeteria.
“What could it be I wonder?”
“Does it have anything to do with the war?”
Numerous voices quietly whisper in the background while they all waited for the new information to be released.

“-An inside source, and you know we won’t reveal who, states that someone has already introduced a new race into the system called the Akkadians. From what the inside source knows, judging by the in-game description, they are genetically engineered humans who have been forcefully evolved within the realm of Terra. They are the first race to be player created and it seems that it has some pretty stringent requirements based off of what the player wanted it to be restricted to.
At this moment, there is only one person who is of this race. However, no one has been able to ascertain as to who this person, and where the person in question, is located in regards to the gameplay footage. But one thing is for certain, most of the players fighting with the Humans sincerely hope that this person might drastically help their ongoing struggle for dominance with the Shakurian Empire!
In any event that’s it for the afternoon Buzz! Catch up with us later on with Sophie Wethenby tonight at 8est for more of the latest news coming to you live from GONE Studios!-”
As soon as the announcement ends, the entire cafeteria goes into a buzz with each cluster hastily talking about the ongoing news as well as breaking out their mobile devices in an effort to find out more information.
“Well that was just bewildering!” Kyleigh pipes up suddenly.
The other three turn to stare at the short caramel colored beauty. Each of their eyes reflecting the shining dirty blonde hair that was wrapped in a bun atop her head, and the exasperated look plastered across her face. Her chocolate brown eyes as big as saucers as they stared directly back at each of their faces.
If there was one word to reflect this short teen, it would be “busty”. The perfect rendition of the short girl with two glorious mountains, it was a wonder how she ever managed to stand up straight.
“What about it is bewildering?” the three ask simultaneously.
“The fact that something this big is only released now! Now I reaallllly wanna play that game!” Kyleigh continues.
The three girls look at each other with puzzled looks before Lirin says,
“I think I may know who that person is…”
------------------------------
Aboard the Shakurian flagship The Anteaus…
An elaborate room furnished with an assortment of Victorian looking furniture pieces. The walls and ceiling were engraved with intricate designs and some marvelous looking artwork hanging on the wall. The high vaulted ceiling pans down to an intricately carved table with a holo screen directly above, presenting the figure of a small preteen girl.
A girl with a green and white space suit that was enclosed with all but her head, stands next to the table with her hands leaning against it. The holo screen changes slightly, revealing her scaly features to the world. Soft white scales on the underside turning into a bleached bone or tan colored scale on her head. The scales themselves were small, leaving enough of a mark to show that the person in question was humanoid in appearance given that they had a snakelike appearance.
Slitted bright green eyes peered up at the holo screen, trying to discern something apparently noticeable only to her. The high set cheekbones and slim jawline bringing into contact with the pursed lips of her anger stricken face. She pushes down on a button with her forefinger making the table chirp slightly followed by the holo screen fading
As the holo screen fades, a chime sounds out from the table along with a button flashing. Pushing the button, another face appears. A face that seemed to draconic in appearance. Arching brows and jagged bony protuberances edged out all along the sides of the face. The entire face is a deep shade of blood red, and a small fang hangs out on the left side of her face.

Even though her face was filled with all sorts of bony ridges, there still seemed to be a sort of feminine grace about it.
“Why aren’t the Humans dying fast enough Admiral Wan’er? You assured me that this conquest would be short so that we can go back to the Belt and retrieve our prize!” The princess states in a cold tone.
“-The Humans dying shouldn’t be the height of your troubles right now princess. Something new has occurred and I have placed all of the battle cluster on standby.-” Wan’er says roughly.
Anger flashes through the princess’ eyes and she clenches her hands tightly.
“Pray tell what that is Admiral. Why have you stopped the conquest of the Humans?”
“-Their main fleet has just scattered in all directions. This being said, I sent some scouts after them to see where they are going and before they could transmit anything every single vessel of their fleet made a jump at the same time. Where they have gone I don’t know, but right now I’m--”
“THEN WHY DO YOU NOT PRESS THE ASSAULT!!! THESE USELESS, DEBASELESS, PIECES OF TRASH DO NOT DESERVE THE CHANCE TO CHANGE THE BATTLE TEMPO!!!” the princess screams.
The Admiral on the other end of the line stares at the princess intently.
“-Because we have no way to ascertain where they will be coming from next. This is a lesson for you to learn from Princess Shu’ra. Space battle are not the same as the naval battle simulations that you excelled at on the homeworld. In space, everything is about survival and right now survival means freezing the cluster. Let me re-emphasize my point, you aren’t in your favored element here-” Wan’er explains slowly.
The princess continues to clench her fist and her brow furrows.
“Then what shall we do then?! We can’t exactly let that scum get away!”
“-I know, which is why we shall wait for the Humans to make the first move. In this circumstance it is the only thing we can do.-”
------------------------------
Bazz, Fenris, and Dr. Cleo exit the back of strategy room and continue straight into a brightly lit hallway. While walking down the hallway, they pass by a couple officers who look like they have some sort of cybernetic enhancements grafted onto their faces.
“So how exactly is this going to work?” Bazz asks as they walk down the hallway.
“Well the easiest way that I can see to do this is to merge your body into a tank filled with a water solution that contains a shot of Juvei and introduce the helix directly into your body. This ensures the safety of those around you in case something happens and allows for better studying of what happens during the bonding process.” Cleo says lightly.
The three pass a couple more officers talking in hushed tones about the situation as they walk in opposite directions.
“Well that ensures the safety portion of it but I’m more concerned of what will happen once I bond the helix to my gene structure. What I read in the diary seemed to say that when an external helix is bonded to a host’s gene structure it acts sort of like a Psi tuning process. But wouldn’t it also cause a change to my overall natural appearance?” Bazz asks with a slightly wavering voice. “Even when Marneus wrote down that it shouldn’t change anything cosmetically, I’m a bit skeptical.”
They continue down the hallway and eventually turn into another hallway. This one had a set of double doors shining a metallic sheen while sitting at the end of the hall.
“From what I can tell, the genetic bonding of the tetra helix would be something new in regards to the Psi tuning and the natural order of the galaxy. Even I am not certain as to what will happen. You already have a skill that involves your Psi trait correct?” She asks.
“I do indeed. It is called Aura and I am very fond of it.”
The two walk momentarily in silence as Dr. Cleo ponders how to respond. The enlarging door at the end of the hallway is only a couple meters away by now.
“That skill can be said to be using the raw form of energy. A wide area skill is normally harder to control but for you it seems that whenever you use it it seems to grow stronger. Normal Psichis’ take an inordinate amount of time just to get used to their starting skill through the tuning process. You however seem able to hone a skill that hasn’t even been logged into the Libros Aeternum of the Centanus Aetherialis quite easily.” Cleo says lightly.
She starts reaching for the handle of the door before he asks another question.
“There was such thing as a starting skill? Does that mean that I should expect some sort of skill to be offered to me once I undergo the bonding?”
She looks up at him slightly and notices an appraised eyebrow.
“*sigh* honestly, I have no idea. When I looked through the research notes of the Wargonian researcher who pioneered the field, he had mixed results when it came to the brute force methods being used at first, but then came upon new problems the longer he pursued gene bonding or gene manipulation.” She explains.
~So if I had gotten a Psi tuning before I get the bonded helix, would that mean that I would get two starting skills? Well a little late to find out now~ he ponders.
“When I first started the—”
“I don’t mean to interrupt Doctor but this sounds like it will take a while to explain and from the looks of things in the strategy room, I don’t think now is the best time. On another note, what is a Wargonian? Better yet, what is a Shakurian?” Bazz asks hurriedly.
His eyes were positively bright with the amount of information freely being given to him. Cleo raises her hand in front of her face and reaches ever so slightly towards the door. As soon as she does this, her hand starts emitting an ethereal bluish energy with a wavering and wiggling line connecting to the double doors.
Pulling her energy laden hand towards her chest, the double doors swung open sharply before coming to a stop after gently tapping against the walls to either side. As soon as the doors had opened, a chill air pelts the three figures standing inside the doorway. The ethereal light suffuses back into her hand before she turns to look up at him.
“Hmmm, a Shakurian would be close to being called humanoid in origin, except with a lizard or snakelike appearance depending on the variance of their lineage. The Wargonians more or less are an entirely different breed given that they are roughly humanoid in appearance. Going solely off of our old fantasy novels back a couple thousand years ago, they could roughly be equated to golems, although their variance is around the same as the Shakurians when it comes to size and shape.” She says walking forward into the room.
The room they were entering looked, from Bazz’s point of view, like a giant lab. Large test tubes filled with various glowing liquids and numerous water tanks filled with all sorts of exotic specimens.
Scattered around the room are work tables filled to the brim with all manner of curious devices and paperwork. Utilizing his Acute Senses, he noticed that some of the papers involved diagrams with crisscrossing patterns with some lettering that he couldn’t make out. Some of the papers even had doodles. In the middle of the room stood a small platform with a 270°computer interface.
“Judging by the various amounts of doodling around the room, got bored did we?” he states with a chuckle.
“Yeahhhhh, just a little bit considering I was stuck in a rut. I find it is best to change your mindset and think about something else if you get stuck in a particularly hard place.” She says with a smile.
Bazz look towards the back of the room and starts scanning it for viable information on what else this woman gets herself into.
“Let me get the…” Cleo starts saying before noticing that he wasn’t even paying attention to her anymore.
As she looked up at him, she noticed his gaze was transfixed on something at the back of the room. She looked over at what he was looking at and chuckled before moving off to the side to prepare the tank for the procedure.
Bazz continued to study the object at the back of the room, completely disregarding everything that was happening around him. Trailing his gaze to the object, a massive tank that sat connected with multiple tubes and cords running around it filled the surrounding area. The tank was roughly 6 meters tall and 4 meters wide with a humanoid looking thing floating inside the watery solution.
This humanoid’s skin was dark gunmetal grey with an assortment of indentations running all along its body. The indentations curved around fingers and around the body in an interconnected loop and every few seconds would subtly glow a bright golden yellow. It was closely reminiscent of the tribal tattoos he had on occasion seen on most of his pirate targets a couple years back.
Bazz’s eyes traced the outline of the massive object inside the tank, noting the resemblance of how massive it was when compared to himself. The humanoid had clearly defined, lean muscles and a terrifying height, clearly surpassing his own.
Its head was half a size larger than his and has a weather-beaten appearance covered somewhat with small facial scaring. The most pronounced of the facial scars is one that crossed vertically down over its left eye ranging from a little above the eyebrow and ending at the cheek. The more he studied the face, the more he realized that the scars themselves weren’t
Every part of the massive man was devoid of hair. A bald head and From the waist down is some sort of skirt or kilt that was similarly intricate in its design and was also a drab grey color with darkened coal colored trim. Most of the intricate designs were too hard to make out considering their size.
“I assume you know what this is?” Cleo asks, shaking him out of his reverie.
He glances over at her standing at the console in the center of the room and then back at the thing floating in the tank and makes a hazard guess.
“I don’t know what this is, but I’m betting that it is the mummified Anunnaki that I read about in Marneus’ diary.”
He walks up right next to the water tank sitting next to the big guy, and starts comparing his complexities with that of the Anunnaki.
"Is there anything else I should know before we proceed with this... bonding?" Bazz asks while wringing his hands.
Cleo pauses for a moment running through all the things they had discussed earlier. A pair of heavy booted feet thudded softly against the metal flooring, growing louder with each passing step heading towards her.
“There may be but we can go over those at the end of the process.”
He sighs at this response and leans down to pet Fenris who was sitting at his side.
"There is one thing that I am confused about."
She pauses and looks up from her console slightly.
"What about?"
He looks back up at the hulking, light pulsing, grey man and says softly,
"How do you even know that this will work?"
She stares at him while trying to formulate a viable response or something as close to one as possible. The minutes pass by slowly before he turns back towards her. She looks up into his furrowed face and sighs.
"I don't. I don't even know if this will have an effect on you or not. The most that I have been able to do is map out the DNA sequences and wonder at its complexities given the fact that no other life form in the known galaxy has a helix this different."
Bazz tilts his head slightly along with a popping an eyebrow.
"How different is it?" He asks.
She turns back to the control panel and starts fidgeting with some of the buttons.
"When I was at the Libros Ignitium within the Centanus Synedrion, there was a collection of volumes that showcased the basic gene sequences of the members within the council. Most had double strands while one single species had some very interesting triple strands, the triple stranded species being the Wargonians." She states quietly, "The gene sequence for our friend here however is a quadri or tetra strand sequence, in other words four individual strands wrapping around each other in some never ending loop. But that isn't even the best part."
He looks at her waiting for her to continue as she fiddles with the the panel. At the end of her fidgeting, she presses a final small button and the glass tank standing next to the Anunnaki slides down into the floor.
"The best part of this tetra helix is the fact that each individual gene strand induces varying amounts of raw energy production within individual cells. This is sort of the same as the Wargonian gene pool in which their gene strands induce their cells to produce energy as well, but not to the massive extent that the Anunnaki do. This accounts for the pulsing light show that you can see on its body.”
Bazz looks over to his left at the floating Anunnaki and starts wondering what he has just gotten himself into.
“In any event, put this on. It’ll help with breathing while underwater.” Cleo says walking up to him with an outstretched hand.
He looks down at the hand and sees a medical rebreather the size of her head in her outstretched hand. The mask had a full clear bowl-like look to it, which looked like it was designed to encapsulate his entire face and a large bulb on the end where the breather apparatus would normally be situated. She hands it to him and walks away, leaving him alone with his new toy.
WHIIIRRRRR…Click……pffffffft.
The glass tank surges up from underneath, trapping him inside while he fastened the thongs of the rebreather to his face.
“-Aaaannnnd time to get started!-” Her voice reverberates excitedly from small speakers within the tank.
Bazz looks towards her and nods in affirmation and closes his eyes for a short rest. As a few moments pass as he waits for the oncoming water to fill the tank, a low whine forces his eyes open. Looking down, Fenris sits on his haunches and gently paws at the massive glass tank near his feet while simultaneously looking up giving him a terrifying attack.
“Don’t you give me those sad puppy dog eyes. I’m not dead for cryin out loud!” He says with a smile while leaning down to the concerned Naeri.
Fenris continues to paw at the glass, as if he wanted to share in whatever his master was going to being going through.
“-Anything else you want to ask big man? Or do you want to go ahead with the experi- process?-” Cleo’s voice rings out through the speakers.
Bazz looks at the control console in the middle of the room where she is standing with her hand hovering over a glowing red button.
“I guess I have one more question that I can ask you. How old is this thing anyway?”
She hesitates for a moment with her hand over the button and slowly thinks on how to answer the question. Sighing, she says,
“-When I did a CDA, or Carbon Dating Analysis as you would call it, on a piece of torn flesh, the results showed that it has been decaying for at least 2.5 billion years. This is purely speculation on my part but I have no idea whether or not this body actually decays the same way we do.-”
Bazz stares at her in shock for a good five minutes after she says this.
“-Anyway, don’t ask any more questions until after this process is over, alright?-” she says brightly and slams her hand onto the button.
Water starts flooding the glass tank from the bottom, effectively slowing his movements. Bazz, instead of moving around, decides to just stand there motionless, letting the lukewarm water splash against him in.
The minutes pass as the water floods the tank, only deciding to stop once it completely fills a couple dozen centimeters above his head. Bazz slowly looks around his surroundings through the plastic screen separating his face and the water.
Most of the lights had been dimmed inside the lab, almost making it seem as if he was part of some otherworldly experiment done by a mad scientist.
“-Administering Bonding Link-” a soft feminine automated voice states outside the tank.
CHINK!!!
A circular slot opens below him and immediately releases a purplish substance that had the same effect as food coloring does when added to water. The purple substance swirled around him, coiling around every nook and cranny of his body. The weird thing was that it wasn’t making contact with his body.
He kept looking down as the purplish substance continued to spiral around him and waited for it to start seeping into his pores. He gently placed his hand against the glass, wondering when the true bonding process was going to begin when,
BANG!!!
A gigantic flash of light and an overbearing pressure slam into his head rendering him unconscious…
------------------------------
“This is Commander Yordam hailing Yordam Station, Yordam Station do you read?”
“Bzzzz—”
Marneus and Solide stand next to the comms officer as they try to get in touch with the station. Each of them wore grim expressions because of the ensuing static that seemed to pull through for the sixth time.
“Sir, I must reiterate my earlier statement. There is something or someone jamming us. Who it is I don’t know but something tells me that it’ll be known sooner or later.” The stone faced comms officer says.
“I understand that. Keep trying to break through to them. I need a briefing on who exactly is up there Spacer wise and what their capabilities are for each. The only way to find that out is to go up there myself.” Marneus states with a sigh.
The two turn around and head apart from each other, seemingly at a loss as to what to do.
“Commanduh, Do you tink dat dere will be a fight aboard da station?” Sterling asks across the room.
Marneus visibly shivers and says,
“I certainly hope not. We aren’t equipped to take on their Dames with the current ground forces that we have.”
Solide walks over to stand directly in front of him and looks down at his face with a grin.
“And what wud happen if you jus ‘appened to ‘ave a squad dat was bettuh equipped for a ground fight dan da other squaddies?”
Marneus looks up in surprise before his brows furrow in suspicion.
“It would depend on who the squad mates are, what they are trained in, and what sort of equipment they would be using. I’m not about to place hope in something that might not be all that well put together.”
Solide’s smile widens even more followed by a hand reaching into his back pocket.
“I jus’ might ‘ave a specially trained squad dat was intended to do their first trial run in space wid da new suits we produced. We call dem Drop Troopers, or DT’s for short.” He says as he hands over a neatly folded piece of paper.
Taking the paper and unfolding it, Marneus reads the coordinate solution and a vid frequency that was written in small neat letters. Looking up suddenly he asks, “I assume you have a dossier list ready for me to brief?”
“Yes suh we—”
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM
The door leading to the hallway bursts open and a massive pressure accompanied by a violent shaking of the building shoves everyone in the room to the ground. The petty officers’ struggle for a following 5 seconds only to be knocked unconscious, leaving the rest in a sort of daze. Marneus and Solide continue their squirming for about a dozen seconds before the next rank of officers lapse out of consciousness.
Suddenly, the pressure ceases, and the room returns to normal. Marneus and Solide look at each other for a moment before nodding as they rise on wobbly legs and say simultaneously,
“The Spacer.”
------------------------------
Bazz’s consciousness slowly wakes. His senses blocked and sense of direction completely immobilized, he starts wondering what had happened to him. The minutes pass as his current predicament doesn’t change and suddenly a white dot appears in front of his eyes. He tries to put his hand in front of his face but finds that It was as if it was the light at the end of a tunnel and he was constantly being pulled towards it.
The light inches towards him, stretching on the length of time into what felt like years were passing. Each inch felt like an eternity, inducing no small amount of wonderment and critical analysis of everything that was happening.
Bazz reaches the white light and is immediately pelted by an immense pressure, as if someone was throwing a brick wall at him. He tries to sort out the reason for this but as he begins to think out logical reasons, a Voice appears.
“Nagash iif denda grayn! IIF DENDA GRAYN!!”
It was an unearthly Voice. One that could be closely tied to some horror movie supervillain being possessed by a demon.
“I’m sorry but I can’t understand you. Can you please clarify?” he tries to ask.
Immediately the pressure increases tenfold, as if he was a walnut being smashed by a heavy steel .
“JAN GUTERJ AIN GUNENT!! DESRA GRAYN KU’SH E SEPH?!” the Voice continues.
Puzzlement wracks his brain as he tries to comprehend what the Voice is saying.
“I’m just… a Spacer…test… subject.” He tries to blurt out his words with the pressure restricts all of his functions.
The pressure eases marginally, followed by two softly spoken questions.
“Grayn spactem e junta psif? Naine Daedim nagash eptim?”
Bazz tries to tilt his head but finds he can’t given that he doesn’t really have a head to speak of.
“I’m sorry, I’m not really understanding the question. Could you perhaps speak on the same language as me or at least give me an understanding as to what you are saying?”
Minutes pass after he asks this question and he starts wondering if he had done something wrong. The passing of time held no relevance to him as the pressure slowly made it feel as if he was being pushed into the ground.
DING!
You have gained the skill Forgotten Language Mastery
Complete puzzlement at this sets in as he couldn’t understand why he was given this skill given the fact that he was constantly trying to get out of this predicament with the least amount of harm done to him as possible.
“I can’t believe I have to stoop to this level in order to make my queries known.” The Voice starts again. “Ignorant ku’sh, I was asking if you were one of the Daedim judging by the fact that they are the only ones able to reach me here.”
Bazz takes a moment to process the fact that he had just heard the “thing” talking to him in broken heavily accented English. He couldn’t place what kind of accent it was but it was making the words being spoken come out like garbled English. Time to respond in kind.
“I don’t know, why don’t you look for yourself before you ask a question like that tu filius canis?”
The pressure from before surged back into being, slamming into him like a tidal wave.
“DON’T PRESUME TO MOCK ME GRAYN!! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO BARGED INTO MY DIMENSION AND DECIDED TO CALL ME…what exactly did you call me?”
Struggling against the massive amount of energy pinning him in place, Bazz smiles grimly, in his nonexistent way, and says, “I don’t think you would want to know considering it is a dead language. In any event, where is this?”
The Voice remains silent for a moment, then decides to play along while asking a question of its own.
“You are in my Kayn, my consciousness if you will. It is specifically sealed off from outside interference, which brings me to my own question. How exactly did you get in here?”
“The humans were experimenting on forced evolution and consequently found your body that was mummified inside…what was it called again… ah yes, the Belt. I was chosen as a Spacer to be the first to try bonding your gene structure with mine.” Bazz explains.
The Voice remains silent for a while. Bazz guessed it was because it didn’t know how to respond to his explanation that it didn’t say anything.
“…The Belt, you say? My home has been reduced to the name of The Belt?” The voice echoes around him angrily.
“Well that’s what the rest of the galaxy apparently calls it considering that you are the only one documented to have been found. This gene bonding was done in order to find out what would happen and possibly see if it could unlock a new kind of Psi tuning.” He continues to explain.
“Pah! Gene bonding and Psi tuning. As if the genlen could understand what that truly means! Fine. I’ll go along with this but instead of the gene bonding, let’s go one step further!” The Voice says hurriedly.
His nonexistent eyebrows furrow slightly at this.
“A step further?! What’s a step further? Are you sure that’s wise?”
All the pressure surrounding him disappears and a vague outline of an Anunnaki appears in front of him.
“Oh sure it’ll be fine! I’ll only be merging my dead body and consciousness with yours. I mean sure your body might degenerate into a massive ball of raw energy that’ll make an explosion the size of a supernova look like dropping a pebble into a pond, but on the plus side you’ll have all of my skills and power at your disposal! There must be someone that you want to blow up don’t you?” The Voice says excitedly.
“Hold on a sec! I never agreed to this! I mean sure there is a fleet battle above Terra with some empire named the Shakurians but I don’t think that has anything to do with blowing up the entire solar system!” Bazz states frantically.
~This is definitely NOT what I had bargained for!!~
“Well a little late for that now isn’t it?! That’s what you get when you decided to play around with the natural order of the universe and merged your body with that of the first sovereign race of the galaxy!” the Voice says madly.
“NO NO NO NO NO!!!”
“OHHHHHHHHH YASS! This is what happens when you mess with Ninurta the Avatar of War! Genshi Ta’sey!!”

Please note that I may or may not start a reincarnation story. More details on next update which I'm planning to be in a few days considering that I actually have time on my hands now.

8 113The Tears of Kas̆dael
It was just supposed to be a game. A really, really great game, yes - but a game. Instead, Jasper got his heart ripped out by a brooding goddess and awoke to find himself in another world. No weapons, no skills. Naked. Trapped in a world full of ancient horrors, where gods and monsters still roam the earth, Jasper is forced to adapt quickly or die - and he's not ready to die. Good thing he's a mage. This is a high-fantasy novel with light LitRPG elements. It's not super-crunchy, but the system is an important part of the story. There is some light cursing and gore, but this is not a Grimdark novel. There will also be no harem. The current schedule is chapters on M-W-F of around 2000-2500 words, as well as occasional bonus chapters that provide background or insights into side characters. This is my first real attempt at writing a full novel, but the story is based on a world that I've been creating and re-creating since I was a child. I have an extensive "history" and religion, and even a semi-cohesive language system worked out, which will hopefully slowly shine through as the story progresses. I want to avoid having too many info-dumps, so I may from time to time post a bonus lore chapter that will explain some of the background for any who are interested.

Silver McMalorey was heartbroken after getting ditched at the alter by her fiancé. Now a single mother, she has to navigate through raising her son, Aiddan, dealing her hot new boss, and her sons illness? What happens when she gets a job with extraordinary perks, and a boss that seems vaguely familiar? Her son gets put in a life threatening situation and some creep becomes obsessed with her, that's what!(I wrote this back when I was 13-14, so keep that in mind when reading it. I am only republishing it because a friend wants me to. It was previously titled Midnight Secrets on an account I long ago deleted so if it seems familiar to you, that is why.
