"Beep. Beep. Beep," the alarm clock blared, then turned to the radio news.
"Hello Sundale, Florida. And welcome to another glorious day of sunshine and fun. There is actually a 1 percent chance of rain, but that's not likely to happen!" said the lively announcer.
A young man turned in his sleep, but suddenly opened his eyes.
"Crap not again! I can't be late or else Alexa will surely get me fired."
He quickly put on a gray T-shirt and brown kakis while brushing his teeth. He grabbed a banana to eat and slipped on his sneakers. The young man grabbed his wallet and a coat before jumping out the door and running to the bus stop like hell let out. Thankfully Lady Luck was on his side as he just barely got onto the bus before it left. He paid the fare and sat down. He glanced at his watch. 7: 49. He still had an hour before work and so he sighed in relief. He sat in an enty seat.

Ten figures in an alley way put on ski masks and cocked their weapons.
"Is everybody ready?" A gruff sounding man asked.
The nine other figures nodded. Then they all walked over to the bus station where a bus was pulling up. The terrorists quickly got on and commandeered the bus.
"Everybody get down and shut up!" yelled the same gruff man and fired three shots into the ceiling of the bus.
People continued to yell and scream until one the terrorists grabbed an old asian woman and pointed his gun at her. Everybody instantly shut up even through there was still the sound of a few people whimpering and the little asian girl silently crying nearby.
"Listen up. We're taking control of this bus and we're gonna shoot someone every ten minutes the police don't fufill our demands, and you all are going to comply or get shot. Now everyone hand over your phones, wallets, and anything of value. You all clear?" the gruff man said while pointing his pistol at them.

Everybody nodded albeit the crying girl. They formed a line while the bus was still driving, and handed over their jewerly, watches, and mobile devices. Two terrorists collected them while a third called the cops and made the demands.
"I want two-hundred thou- no three hundred thousand dollars, unmarked. Two helicopters filled with gas, and we aren't to be followed or tracked."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'I can't believe this is happening.'
No matter how he looked at it, the bus was getting hi-jacked. The terrorists started to say something, then everybody screamed then were silent after a loud bang, but he wasn't paying attention. The terrorists started to demand things, but the man barely remembers getting up and giving them his cheap phone. Sirens could be heard. He turned to look but couldn't see where it was coming from, so he started to walk back to seat but suddenly a hand was on his shoulder. He was thrown to the side of the bus with a cold cylinder-like object pointed to his head.
'Huh'
"You police have three minutes before I shoot the first hostage!" said a gruff terrorist while pointing his pistol at him.
"Two minutes!"
'Wait, wait, wait ,wait, wait, wait! I have a life, although I'm kinda poor. I have a job, friends, a family!'
The terrorist cocked his gun. "One minute!"
'No.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no! I can't die!'
"We have your demands. Let the hostages go!" yelled a police officer.
"Good." The terrorist was about to pull away his gun when the little girl from earlier ran towards him yelling about how he was going to pay for what he did. {AN: Damn millenials. JK} The girl kicked the terrorist in the shin. He dropped his gun and held his leg while another terrorist who noticed her yelling pointed his gun towards the girl. If everybody was already holding their breath, the bus was now deathly silent {AN: no pun indended}.

"Go back to your seat girl."
"NO. What you're doing is wrong. And besides, my K/D ratio in Call of Duty is 1.3 and my average fortnite kill count is at least 10. Ha you scar-"
"Oh wow, really?" The terrorist genuinely sounded impressed...until he pointed his gun at her.
"Hehe big brother, did you know that you're super cool?"
His eyes squinted and fired his 9mm sliver fixed sight glock.
The girl screamed in response and ducked. The surrounding people all flinched. The terrorists all looked at the one who shot and gave him a menancing look.
"You idiot, she was just a young stupid girl. Probably with autism! And now look what you've done! Now the police will definetly come after us!"
"Hey hey hey, I aimed above her. I shouldn't have killed her," said the terrorist in fake tears.
"Oi, what do you mean killed!"
"Huh?"
Everybody didn't really want to look at the dead body of the girl, but hearing her annoying but trembling voice, they turned around.
What they didn't see was her body crumpled on the ground, blood everywhere, but the girl perfectly fine, although visibly shaken.
"YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME. WTF DO YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE DOING!!!"
"The terrorists and the people on the bus all looked at each other in understanding.
'She really is autistic.'
{AN: I'm not bullying the autistic, I swear!}
She looked dumbly at their looks.
"What?"
Then someone on the bus screamed.
They looked back at the 'autistic' girl...and the long dead body of our unnamed mc. If his ghost were to be here, he surely would've cussed the hell out of everybody.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The god who chose our mc by the way, was laughing his ass off.

I'll be posting chapters from that one in the coming months (with any luck). If you enjoyed this novel please leave a review as I'm always eager to read a critique of my work to improve my writing. - Best regards in these trying times, M.I. O'Flaherty
