《Antithetic: Spire of Wonder》Story Update
Advertisement
Alright, so it has been a good while… almost a third of a year now, I think. Firstly, I realize that I’d said I’d be back on my schedule and then I just vanished. My bad. So, I guess I’ll go ahead and give an update on the story and where it’s at… because I just realized that’s a thing I’m able to do.
After about 2-3 hours of writing this, I scrapped the long essay I wrote and will just give a large paragraph to explain what’s happening.
Basically, I wasn’t comfortable with how Antithetic was playing out, I feel I wrote it in a way that the climaxes I had planned didn’t feel organic enough and came too slowly—hence why I stopped posting the chapter before a big climax (albeit a more melodramatic climax than your typical action-filled one). I feel like I did this because I had a weekly schedule with no backlog to fall upon if I felt that I needed more time to flesh out a chapter. I’m the type that rewrites everything he writes 6-7 times to get it the way he wants. That being said, Antithetic is and isn’t going anywhere. I’m planning on rewriting Antithetic under the name Antithetic: Live Life and Take Chances eventually. And by eventually, I mean after I get into a solid flow of writing and have ten chapters of the new Antithetic stockpiled and am comfortable with weekly uploads (minimum) and have started posting another story I've been working on since long before Antithetic. When all that happens, I’ll make the final post on this—Antithetic: Spire of Wonder—saying where to find the rewrite and I’ll consider this iteration of Antithetic dropped.
With this all said and out of the way, thank you to everyone who was reading and enjoyed this version of Antithetic. It was my first time making anything I’d written public, and I really enjoyed seeing people’s responses, both positive and negative. I posted the start of Antithetic on a whim hours before a vacation and with only the prologue and first chapter written, so I’m glad people ended up enjoying it, even if it was just a select few. I don’t know if it’s been too long, or if anyone other than me particularly cares about this story anymore, but if you did read all of this, thank you once again.

Lastly, if any of you are curious about something, feel free to pop any questions in the comments, by the way. Whether it be about the story or just about what I didn’t like about how I’d written Spire of Wonder and what I want to improve upon, I’ll be happy to answer them. ^-^

Man is for man - this is an old slogan today. It has lost its uniqueness for the cause of self-centred mentality. Now we cannot hear the chorus songs of unity. Rather the sound of cacophony always do disturb our hearing organ by imposing acute disparity. We don't fly the flag of harmony, uncompromising corrupted selfish hands try to disconnect the rope of the flying flag to take undue advantage. Human being lacks of humane quality. Strangulation of faith is seen here and there. We are losing hope day by day. The act of deflowering is an art. The dignity of woman is mercilessly crushing under the wheel of gender inequality. Filial piety sinks into the ocean of disbelief. Every moment we do feel pangs of neglect sitting under a torn umbrella.
