《Twisted Nerves》Level 2: Idiosyncrasy

I feel like I need to clarify that there are other races. Last chapter they weren't addressed simply cause Lia didn't want to modify or create her avatar, thus ending up as human.
Also, I'm gonna use IGT for in-game time.
Thyw was a small town situated at the far north end of the Kingdom of Ferl, one of many starting points for beginners, but not particularly relevant to make it know and frequently visited. Most constructions were made out of stone, the oldest ones only had the base or the pillars made out of wood; it was a relatively new town. The most impressive things were the three-story buildings, obviously belonging to the little guilds who settled here or to the ateliers of the most common classes (Swordsman, Blacksmith, Mage, Tailor, etc.), and the Lord's castle. Not really a castle, more like a villa of sorts, with really thick stone walls and heavy security.
That day, in the plaza of Thyw, right in front of the fountain representing some obscure dead warrior, a goddess appeared. Albeit a strange one.
This goddess had shoulder-lenght straight white hair, thin eyelashes of the same color, dark purple eyes, small cherry colored soft lips and a delicate little upturned nose. She wore beginner clothes, but even that was unable to hide her beauty. With her slim waist, attractive buttocks and a bosom which wasn't neither large nor small, one could say the woman who created the avatar must have spent a lot of time in it, because it was simply perfect.
It was a pity she just looked around. She didn't check her status or inventory. If she did, they'd surely be able to hear her (presumably) beautiful voice. After a quick look here and there, she brought her left hand in front of her left eye, waving it left and right. A little later, she carefully took on step ahead at a time, not caring where she would end up.

Strolling around the small town for a few hours, she logged in doing just that for three days or so (IGT). Speaking only when logging out. Many figured that she spoke "log out" aloud only because she didn't know that intensely thinking about it was enough.
Subsequently, shortly after logging in again, she died of starvation. Maybe it was lucky that she never did anything, after all, dying cost you 2 levels and 10% of progress in each skill. But more importantly, since in-game the avatars never disappeared, while you where logged out or dead, put you at a great risk of being looted. Well, who would loot a beginner (who clearly did nothing since the start)? Even if you are looting somebody, you can't touch their body directly unless they are logged in.
Having exited the capsule, Lia heads upstairs, to her room. Wondering why she couldn't log in again after having died, she opened her laptop and searched for information.
After dying, it is possible to log in again 42 hours later.
If the death occurred inside a city, you will respawn in the same place you died, if you died outside, you will respawn at the last city you visited.
'Guess I'll have to go around taking quests, if I don't want to die again'
Sighing, Lia looked at the time displayed on the laptop. There was still some time before dinner so she decided to skim through her homework and maybe take a nap.
Finally able to log back in, for the first time, Lia checks her status window and inventory

'I got food, but I should still look around to see how much it would cost me to restock it..'
Heading for the plaza while eating the bread, her first thought was '..Tastes horrible.'

'Mmh.. the price of the food isn't that high, guess it's the lack of players? Anyway, till now I only completed adjusting myself to using both eyes, so I'm only at the start of the list of things to do. Looking at the long run, if I learned how to cook here too, I could do some quest, stockpile on the cheaper ingredients, I could manage on my own for a longer period of time. Now that I think about it, I promised mom to at least try doing something "exciting," so I guess I'll scratch getting merchant related professions. Bye bye even cheaper ingredients. But first, how do you get classes in this game in the first place? I need to know if I can get a class that'll be both useful in completing the list faster, not only aiding me to adapt sooner, but also in completing quests. When I'm done with all this stuff I'll try going around this.. kingdom? ..country? Well, whatever it is, I did say I'd give it a try.'
Done with studying the prices of food in the plaza and of the bars and restaurants near it, Lia stared at the "Loose Goose," apparently the most renowned restaurant in Thyw, seeing the bustling inside and the number of people going in and out. It was also the most pricy one.
The owners were a couple about fifty/sixty years old, they lived on the restaurant's second floor. Since they've never been able to conceive kids, they were really fond of the ones that occasionally visited them. They are know for the warm welcome they give each customer.
Inside, Lia could see that the hustle and bustle wasn't about the food.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

Agent of the Alternates
This is the first Well of Souls story. Nathan Hunter, as well as five hundred other seniors at his high school, found themselves pulled into the deadly game in an alternate dimension of their school, where they had to survive against increasingly tough monsters while completing a series of Challenges as their numbers continued to dwindle with no end in sight. With no way off the property, nor any way out of the alternate and back to their real dimension, Nathan and his classmates battle for survival in the hopes that eventually, they will be freed from the game. Warning: Things will get repetitive at times, particularly after Arc 1. The reason for this becomes clear in the first couple of chapters of Arc 2. It is simply the nature of the lives they lead.

Resolve
TLDR - RWBY esque modern xianxia (everything is original to the best of my knowledge, but you can probably see where I drew my inspiration) 20 years ago, monsters manifested from negative emotions emerged and brought the world to its knees. Follow the journey of Ed as he strives to become stronger to avenge his brother who sacraficed himself. Note: First time writer, i have about 16k words written already.
