《Chosen by the Laws》Chapter 15 Territory War

With the first blow in the battle about to begin a notification rang out,
Local event has begun Elk Plains Territory War, the winning side will receive the territory, and rewards based on performance.
Participants Human, Kamori, Rock Giant, United forces, Earth Wyrm.
5 sides locked in, the area has been closed, nothing may enter until a winner has been decided.
What was even more surprising was the vision that appeared along with the notification, it showed a birds-eye view of the territory Showing the Kamori moving into the location and the subsequent events which led to the war. The vision ended and Daimon felt slightly disorientated, thankfully the feeling didn't last long. Looking up he noticed that the war was in full swing the Five Beta Kamori held the rock giants at bay in a seemingly even battle, while the United beasts were holding their own against the regular Kamori, the only problem he noticed was two Beta Kamori fighting again the beasts. They were causing havoc as their spikes decimated a new creature every few seconds. Coming to a conclusion and forming a plan Daimon pulled out his bow and aimed an imbued mana arrow at the first of the Beta Kamori duo, releasing it he watched as the unaware creature sensed it at the last moment and failed to dodge the extremely fast arrow. Down but not out Daimon released a normal mana arrow which finished the creature. Quickly looking at the Other Beta Daimon sprang out of the way as a spike narrowly sailed over his head. Charging another imbued arrow he repeating the process and the final Beta Kamori fighting the united beast army had perished, leaving the beasts and the Regular Storm Kamori to fight it out without any interruptions.
Taking a moment to catch his breath he noticed Albert floating behind him.
"What the hell is going on Albert?" Question Damion.
"The situation created here has led to the System deaming it worthy of an event, this will sometimes happen in a highly populated area when the territory of a species gets invaded." replied Albert.
Still slightly confused by the situation Daimon pushed his thoughts to the side and decided to focus on the battle below, One of the Rock Giants had lost its arm, most likely to one of the Betas Imbued spikes, however, it was still combat worthy, unlike the Beta Kamori which had been squished under a huge boulder thrown by the other intact rock giant. With the battle tilting in the Rock Giants' favor, Daimon decided to do something he had wanted to do for days. Aiming his bow and Imbuing has mana arrow with the Law of Wind, he poured in as much mana as it could hold, As the Arrow started leaking mana and shaking dangerously he released and watched as it pierced straight into the rock giant with the missing arm, hitting the monster in the head. The whistling of the arrow was followed by the sound of a small explosion as half of the creature's head simply disintegrated. What shocked him the most however was when the rock giant turned around and hurled a huge boulder straight towards him. The boulder fell short and slammed into the cliff Daimon was standing on, a web of cracks squirmed their way up the cliff wall, thankfully the structure remained intact as Daimon precariously balanced at the top. Using inspect on the rock giants' showed that the almost dead one was level 27 while the other was a massive level 36, The four Storm Kamori Betas were around level 27 as well. Seeing that the Rock Giant was about to one hand toss another Boulder at him, he quickly created another Imbued arrow and hit the creature in the arm, the kinetic force created by the insane speed of the arrow tore the rock giant's other arm right off, Missing two arms and half of its head, the Rock Giant finally succumbed to its wound and died.

Daimon was once more surprised by what happened next as he watched one of the Beta Kamori flash over to the defeated rock giant and ripped a hole in its chest before pulling out a round object from within the giant and consuming it, It then watched as the creature lit up and began changing before his eyes, Sensing that something was wrong Daimon and the other rock giant began peppering the transforming Beta Kamori with attacks, however, they seemed to bounce off some sort of invisible shield and fall harmlessly to the ground. Seeing the futility of their actions they switched focus and quickly dispatched the other three Beta Kamori.
The battle had been going smoothly for Daimon up to this point the beta Kamori had all been defeated and the regular Kamori and beast army were both slowly dwindling in numbers with only 50 from each side still standing, he quickly used inspect and noticed that the Burmese Python had gained 3 levels, which showed just how many Kamori it had killed by itself in the confrontation.
Burmese python level 21
It was a tenacious creature however it had become badly injured and had multiple spikes sticking out of, this however didn't prevent it from raping around a Kamori's neck and sinking its fangs into the beast's head.
Meanwhile the level 37 Rock Giant continuously pounded on the Kamori which had begun to change to no avail as all the heavy punches harmlessly bounced off the shield which had been erected around the creature. Suddenly Daimon sensed a change in the atmosphere as the ground underneath the Rock Giant and Kamori began to shake, A fissure appeared underneath them and a huge circular maw filled with jagged rows of teeth pounced out of the ground. the Shield around the Kamori saved the Giant as the unwelcome guest came to a halt and started receding back into the hole it had come from, it all happened so fast that he couldn't even inspect the new creature,
"Albert what the hell is that?" roared Daimon.
If you took your time to read the event description you would know" replied Albert.
Looking back over the notification Damion understood what he had meant, as he noticed under participants the name Earth Wyrm. The discussion took too long and the Wyrm had once more appeared out of the ground a short distance away from the Giant. Slicking out of the ground 8 meters in height was a huge Wyrm, brown in color and seeming crafted out of the ground as huge plates of earth clung to its body acting like defensive scales which made the creature look extremely deadly. What frightened him however was not its body but its maw which was large enough to swallow a horse whole. How much of the creature was still underground? was the question which was currently running through Daimon's mind. Thankfully it had not spotted Daimon yet. Using inspect showed the Wyrms level.
Earth Wyrm level 39
It was a higher level than the rock giant sightly however Damion knew that he would prefer to fight the Giant than the Wyrm. There was something different about the two creatures presumably the rank as the level gap wasn't enough to make such a huge difference,. His inspect, however, wasn't a high enough level to show what the difference was. As the Giant and Wyrm began to charge at each other a blinding light radiating off the Kamori filled the scene. When the light dissipated the now transformed Kamori stood in its place.

Alpha Storm Kamori Level 30
The Kamori had evolved and became an Alpha, Its appearance had also changed dramatically, it had grown smaller, however, the muscles which lined its body looked incredibly defined and powerful, this was a creature designed for one thing, speed. The spikes which adorned the creature had multiplied from six to twelve and had become sleeker, sharper, and turned into a gold and red type of metal which Daimon had never seen before. Most noticeably however was its aura which gave of the same feel as the Wyrms which led him to believe that the difference between the rock giant and the other two, was evolution.
With the evolution complete the battle began, the Wyrm automatically changed its target and went straight for the Alpha, it moved by gliding in and out of the ground bending the earth to its will by infusing its body with the Law of Earth which gave the Wyrm tremendous movement speed which was on par with the retreating Alpha who had been designed for speed. As the Alpha fell back the Rock Giant created huge rocks out of Mana by using the law of Earth to compress the ground around it before picking it up and accurately throwing the rocks at the Wyrm, the rocks dealt superficial damage to the wyrm as the armor surrounding the creature was also formed using the Law of earth. Daimon noticed that when a rock hit, the Wyrms earthy carapace would show signs of cracking, however, as the creatures dove into the ground while moving the armor would regenerate. By now the Alpha had started channeling the Law of Wind to increase its movement speed greatly and was finally pulling away from the Wyrm. Reaching a safe distance, the Alpha began channeling mana into the spikes on its back and cast Imbue Spikes three times simultaneously, the spikes flew true and pieced the Wyrms body finally dealing damage. Enrage the Wyrm roared and the ground began to shake, it had cast Earthquake, taken by surprise the Alpha stumbled and fell to the ground Not willing to miss the opportunity to get revenge, the Wyrm pushed through the pain of having three spikes sticking out of its body and moved through the ground closing the distance and unaffected by the earthquake, the spikes getting jostled by the movement and dealing even more damage to the beast's insides. The Wyrm appeared next to the prone Alpha and opened its maw ride ready to bite down on the immobile creature when a well-timed rock throw by the Rock Giant landed right in the Wyrms maw helplessly the Wyrm dived back into the ground, unfortunately for the Alpha, the Wyrms tail smashed against its side leaving a deep gash and multiple broken bones.
Forgotten by the three creatures, Daimon had watched the battle from the distance, sending that the battle was coming to a close he pulled out his bow and began to wait for the right moment to strike.
The wyrm had felt the damage done to the Alpha and figured out that it was out of commission for now, however, it to was badly wounded, deciding to kill the rock Giant first it backtracked around and appeared out of the ground below the giant, sensing the attack the giant lept to the side and transformed its arm into a Sword made of rock, the Wyrm helplessly had to take the sword strike in the side, unfortunately for the Giant, its sword arm got stuck within the Wyrm, with its arm stuck the Giant could only look on as The Wyrm dragged it into the ground from which it would never again appear. Meanwhile, a hail of arrows fell from the sky and penetrated into the wounded Alpha Kamor,i ending its life and granting Daimon a myriad of experience points.
Daimon had watched the Giant getting dragged underground, finding this to be the most opportune moment he had ended the Alpha life. The battle however was not over yet, the Rock Giant must have perished as the Wyrm appeared once more and let out a victorious screech in the air, seeing this and looking at how wounded the beast was Daimon rapidly charged up another mana arrow and forced as much mana and his wind law into it as he could and fired, the arrow penetrated deep into the creature and its screech of victory turned into one of pain. The only two conscious competitors were the Wyrm and Damion, one mortally wounded and one full of energy and health however weak compared to its enemy.
The Wyrm not willing to lose this fight dove back into the ground with a breathtaking speed considering its injuries. "IS it fleeing Albert? questioned Daimon.
You may want to look downwords, giggled Albert.
He didn't even need to look as he suddenly felt the cliff shaking, Cracks started to appear on the ledge as the Wyrm wriggled its way up the interior of the cliff, it was however too late as the fast creature popped up right behind Daimon The cliff already Damaged by the rock giants earlier throw started to peel away Almost in slow motion with Daimon and the Wyrm standing precariously upon its surfaces. The wyrm on its last legs was clearly aiming for mutual destruction as it lunged towards him. Daimons mind was working in overdrive trying to work out if he could survive the fall or not, sidestepping the Wyrms lung he did the only thing he could think of and created a mana arrow which he plunged into the creatures back with his bare hands, the arrow tore the creatures weakened carapace and Daimon continuously poured in more mana to stop the arrow from dissipating.
He then wrapped his legs around the creature and held on to the arrow, hoping that the creature would hit the ground before he did. The ground was fast approaching and thankfully the Wyrm touched down first, the force causing it to deflate and crumble, which softened Daimon's landing and only caused superficial wounds. A notification rang out.
