Infinite Ocean Ch 18
Unknown from Sam and his friends, Sylvester has been planning all day long.
He has been exerting all his effort in gathering all the things that he need to take down Sam. Due to the abnormality of Sam's physical speed and strength, he concluded that he is using either Mana or Qi.
With his experience with the Marines, Sylvester knew that there are some metals and things that can negate energies. Throughout his whole career in the Marines he only saw such thing twice. It is called Void Copper, and it is very rare.
His Bosses provided 2 meter Void Copper wire before and ever since then, it was given to him for its usage. But the Void Copper wire is not the only thing needed to take a dangerous person such as Sam.
He has been formulating a plan to take Sam to a postion in which he can attach the wire to any part of Sam's body.
"Okay listen up. The plan is like this. I will need some members of the group to attract him to the site. It will be dangerous but you all need to do this. Your approach must be continous and feel natural. Another group will then draw the marines out so that they won't interfere with our plans. Pull them as far as possible away from this area." Sylvester said seriously said as he pointed out the positions in the map.
"We have 320 members left so do the math and divide yourselves. After he is placed right where we need him, I need half of the remaining members to attack him in an interval to exhaust him. I need one person which will be playing dead in a while to carry this wire." He continued as he takes out the 2 meters Void Copper wire.

"What is the wire for Sir Sylvester?" A member asked
He then explained it in a simple manner so that they understand. In the end, a previous hunter who was good at preparing traps for small animals was selected to do the task.
The plan is to be executed in a later date since all of the members need to form a basic team work first.
The Marines was also taken in mind so all members were forced to do these practices in hiding to prevent suspicion and leakage of the plan.

The next day I woke up and did my cultivation and mana practice. It was still a failure but I am getting proficient at it by each day that pass. And for the first time I finally saw how Rain and Jess look like without a veil.
Rain was about 1.75meter tall with a emerald eyes. She got a fair skin with a well proportioned body, by the looks of it she also have C cup breast in my chart. Her face is very gentle but it also have a sense of maturity. With her bright blonde hair with a light tinge of green at the tips she is one fine woman.
Jess on the other hand also have the same hair and eyes. She is about 1.65 meters tall, with a more petite stature. She have a baby face with no hint of maturity ublik Rain. She have a B cup breast in my chart but she have a nicer curve in her body.
The reason why I can see this is because of the fact that Master Nix forced them to exercise together with me. She made them remove their veil to let me see how it circulates their body much easier.
Although they have a different magic than I practice I was able to gain som insights about how to control mana. The use their own elf language in chanting which means that they will the mana to do what they want.

Which was a huge breakthrough for me since all I do is trying to grasp it. I tried uaing my mental energy to will the mana present in the air to do as I want. Which turn out to be a success but it needs improvement. I was left with a headache for an hour or so before being able to pass out.
Master explained to me that I used up my Mental Energy far too much that it got emptied in a very fast pace. The headache is a side effect of overusing the mental energy.
"You are really something else, Sam. You accomplish on of the most important step in being a magus. Altgought it was quite crude, I think that with enough practice it would be polished." Master Nix said with happiness clear on her voice.
"That is great Sam, however you should never slack on training Qi or else you will get some beatings." Master Yun said with a smile while releasing some scary intent
We all laughed at Master Yun's remarks. It was already lunch when I woke up so I missed breakfast. With a loud grumble from my tummy, all of us started eating some fish.
"So what will you do about the gang, Sam?" Rain asked while we are eating
"The plan is simple, I will let the Marines mess the gang up before going in action. The help from the Marines would be essential to lessen the mob of thugs that was forcefully recruited." I explained as I slurp up some soup
"That's great then, if the Marines help us it will be a breeze to exterminate that Black Tentacle Gang." Jess optimistically said with a bright grin in her face
"That is a good plan, however expect that they also planned their own moves. They have been inside the Marines for some years now without anyone knowing, which means that they are quite capable and smart." Master Yun warned as he felt that the three of us were underestimating the Black Tentacle Gang
"Your Master Yun is right. With thier capabilities, I am sure that there are some smart men behind this gang. So don't let your guard down because I cam assure you that they already prepared a plan to defeat you." Master Nix supported Master Yun in advicing me
"Yes, Masters, I will keep your words in mind" I said with a serious tone while both Rain and Jess seem to agree with me since they loom much resolute than earlier

The Harrowbird's Crown
(Formerly: Tales of a Harrowed House) Synopsis: This is the tale of an exiled royal family who, after their bloody reunion on the island of Providence, return to a war-torn homeland where once more, powerful forces pit sibling against sibling in a bid for the crown — and once more, the magical streets of Auctor echo their infamous motto: “Fire will Reign as Harrowbirds Soar!” From his humble beginnings as a shoemaker’s son, his year spent as a daringly brazen orphan caught between rivaling Houses and a mad ghost, and his fight for the crown after his return to Auctor, Corbyn faces a coming-of-age story unlike any before him as he discovers magic and birthright are two things he never knew he had. From the intimate narrative of a childhood that was never her own, her year spent struggling to find the person she is rather than the person her family needs her to be, the secrets she hides, and the truths she finds, Halle discovers herself on the fabled island of Providence as her House collapses around her, bids to enter a legendary school of magic in her homeland of Auctor, and fights for a crown she never knew she wanted. A high-action, character-focused story written with a poet’s styling, The Harrowbird’s Crown is a tale that will transport readers into the conflict and conquest of a royal family back on the rise. General Information: This story is more traditionally plotted. While the beginning may seem to start out slowly, when shit hits the fan: the action is constant, the mysteries are satisfying, and the character development is rewarding. Chapters are usually between 2.5-3.5 thousand words (though some, like the first and second chapters, can run up to 5k words). When it’s long it means that the chapter will just have that much content in it. There’s Action, Mystery, Fantasy, Comedy, and some Psychological undertakings. Romance hasn’t come up yet, but it may in future chapters. I try to have chapters out every Sunday at 7:00 CST Book One: The Ghost of Providence
