《Undying Soul》Part 06 : Daylen Bright---Chapter 05

Daylen was standing in the middle of the hunter's coliseum stage admiring the endless cheering crowd. He was facing the brother and sister, Jax and Lin.
"Is this really necessary?" Daylen asked. He then looked at Lin and said: "You came for a rematch?"
Lin turned to Jax and angrily said: "You brought me along for my ass to be kicked in front of half the city?"
"Relax. Even if you lose, it will be justified if your opponent is not weak. You are a member of the Stormwind family. Act like it." Jax clad in blue armor said as he unsheathed his long sword. He said to Daylen:
"This is a deathmatch. I trust that you can afford to lose as are we."
"No problem." Daylen said before a dozen humanoid of shadows came out his shadow under his feet.
The humanoid shadows attacked at the same time as Daylen.
The brother and sister already knew that they could not fight on the ground or in close combat as they feared Daylen's terrakinesis and shadow domain. They both flew in the sky.
Daylen then punched the ground and the entire Coliseum shuddered as multiple shields appeared out of nowhere to protect the spectators.
Daylen called on the earth to send hundreds of boulders in the sky as he flew along with them. The stage was reduced into multiple little craters as more boulders detached themselves from the ground to follow Daylen.
"Let's scatter these boulders. They are controlled by him. If one them projects a shadow on us we are done for." Lin said as she fired five arrows in all directions. Jax did the same as he repeatedly sent wind blades towards the boulders.
"One creates tornadoes while the other sends wind blades. I cannot be caught in between. Each humanoid shadow and boulder is connected to me through a shadow thread. All I have to do is have those two touch my threads and they are finished. I have no weapon nor do I have a really offensive ability. This will have to do it for now." Thought Daylen.
Not allowing the boulders and shadows to touch them or cast a shadow on them, Jax and Lin kept flying higher and higher in the sky as they sent numerous attacks in an attempt to destroy every shadow they could see.

"Sigh... the fight ended the moment they wanted to fight me. I will have to cheat my way out of this once again." Thought Daylen.
Ten threads of shadow left his extended from his fingers going for the two in the sky.
"I forced them to go higher and higher so I can catch them off guard. These ten threads will exploit their blind spots and get to them and bind them for the rest of the threads I left earlier to further imprison them. I hope this works." Thought Daylen.
The siblings reduced many of the humanoid shadows to smithereens along with the boulders from a distance, not daring to come close.
"This ability...Now that I see it...It looks similar to the late Whiteshadow family's ability..." Jax thought. He continued: "If that's the case then why did I ask to fight a monster...If it really is the same ability then I might as well abandon now...there is now way we can win this..." He was against to continue fighting but a strange gleam appeared in his eyes. He screamed out to his sister: "Assume it's the Whiteshadow family's ability when we fight him..."
By compiling all they knew about the shade walkers, they finally understood how to fight Daylen. They also understood that they were being distracted from the very beginning. Experienced and stronger shade walkers were dreaded throughout the years as no one could survive an encounter with them.
"It's a shame the Whiteshadow family is declining...I get to fight a shade walker today, even if it's an inherited ability, it's still the same..." Jax thoughts as he flew closer to Daylen.
Jax sent multiple wind slashes to any shadow thread he could see coming for him. It was as if he could see all of them. The humanoid shadows fell by his sword.
Daylen saw that his plan was seen through and improvised. He screamed as he used up half of his remaining aura to summon the dark element to attack from all directions.
A deluge of a dark element was seen pouring out of Daylen, heading for the siblings.
"Lin, send as many arrows as you can to buy me some time." Jax screamed out as he flew higher.

"Got it."Lin said as a barrage arrows made of wind were sent flying towards the ever expanding dark element that was coming for them. It only stopped a huge chunk of it before portions of the dark element found their way out of the barrage by exploiting a loophole and continued heading upwards.
Daylen used the dark element to teleport to its furthest point and then used half of his aura again to summon more of it only to teleport using it as a fast route to quicken his ascension before he ran out of aura.
Daylen was now only a dozen meters away from Lin who had an unsightly look on her face. She knew she was going to die again. She cursed her brother for using her as bait.
All Daylen had to do was extend his arm and a shadow came out of his hand flying towards Lin enveloping her in a sphere of darkness once again.
Daylen entered the sphere and completed the Undead rites transforming her into an undead after killing her again.
He now had a second Thorn up his sleeves.
Upon being killed, normally, one transformed into motes of light and was later revived in a random location but in a fixed radius of a hundred kilometers.
"Hey, can I borrow a few pure crystals from you?"
I will have to ask for double in interest.
The greedy Grimoire said.
"Okay. I need space to store this undead. I remember it was 0,5 pure crystal per six slots of one page."
Sure.
The undead disappeared into the first slot of the page.
He did not have to worry about his undead rites being seen for now. For some reason, he felt that it was wise to keep it a secret. Even he felt dread towards this power of his.
He made the sphere disappear and appeared floating outside alone. The spectators cheered as they assumed he had killed Lin.
He looked up and saw that the clouds were being swept up by a powerful whirlpool.
A gigantic cyclone then descended with Jax hitching a ride on the tip of it. His sword was actually the tip of the cyclone.
"I may not survive this." Daylen said. He looked like a grain of dust against a giant.
"What can I do? I think that he just burned aura crystals to send that thing down here. Maybe even a pure crystal. I'd rather not use outside help for this...I better think of a solution before it comes down." Thought Daylen.
He flew back to the coliseum. The cheering crowd slowly adopted a solemn silence. They understood the situation very well.
Daylen then started brainstorming.
He then bent his knees and touched the ground with his palm. He closed his eyes.
The ground started shaking.
He was looking for any kind of metal. To accomplish that, he scoured the immediate surroundings and went deeper into the ground using his connection with the earth.
It will not work against him. You are about to use a pebble against a divine weapon. His sword is a divine weapon of the 12th stage.
"I am going to forge a hammer. Turn it into a divine weapon with pure crystals and put it on my account." Daylen said.
One page of the Grimoire for 0,5 and an upgrade to the divine level for 1 pure crystal. With interest your next 3 pure crystals are mine.
He forged an arm long hammer with all the kinds of minerals he could find.
The Grimoire turned it into a divine weapon.
"I see. It even gains my bloodline ability. This is even better for forging. No wonder forging is passed down in our family. We are born naturally gifted for it." Thought Daylen.
The cyclone had almost reached the city.
Daylen infused his dark element into the hammer. He needed an outside source of shadows to control. He set off to meet the cyclone, hammer in hand.
