Chapter 11: Ricks New Roommate

Luis visited Rick after being thrown back into his room, ‘you are kind of a fool when someone who is clearly a king asks you to do something you should obey’, Rick sighs, ‘does he even know what a sword is?’, Luis laughs, ‘he killed the last king, and was the top gladiator of this arena’, Rick looked up at Luis, who was nodding, ‘he slowly build up a reputation and took over everything’, Rick was confused, ‘so he took over and literally is doing the same to others like they did to him before?’, Luis smiles, ‘well, I did not say he was a good person, but he is the king, so you should try to obey his orders, or you will not be alive for long', right as Luis finished his sentence the door swings open a man with a wolves helmet gets thrown inside.

He quickly stands up, ‘Damn you! You better never enter the arena with me inside! I will slash you in half within an instant!’, he looks around him, and he notices Luis and Rick, ‘Ahh! If it is not the lapdog of the king! And the man who cheated to win then was too cowardly to kill me! You destroyed my reputation!’.

Luis eyes the man in the wolf helmet up and down, ‘You should be happy he spared your life if it was up to me…’, he did not finish his sentence, as the wolf helmet man removed his helm, his eyes still red of the sand that was thrown in his eyes, ‘You want to test that? Old man’, he walks closer up to Luis, Rick without a second thought jumped up and stood in front of Luis, ‘Ahh, you want round two already? There is no sand here this time!’, as the man with the wolf helmet attempted to throw a punch at Rick, within an instant he was laying on the ground, confused as to what just had happened, the old man had floored him, ‘They do not call me ‘The Teacher’ for no reason’, the man with the wolf helmet got red all over his face, ‘do not test me, old man, that trick will not work again’, as he stands up looking at Rick who was just as confused as he was when he got floored, then looked back at Luis.

At that moment the door swings open behind him, a big man holding a giant sword on his side walks in, the man in the wolf helmet instantly kneeled, both Luis and Rick did not move at all, as the big man passes the wolf helmet man without even looking at him straight toward Rick, ‘I saw how you beaten this man today, just know he is not even close to the top you have to face someday’, he turns around not waiting for a response he smashed the door shut, Rick waited a moment before looking at Luis, ‘who was that man?’, Luis looked back at Rick, ‘that man was..-‘, before he was able to answer the man with the wolves helmet answered, ‘that man was second ranked gladiator, he has never been defeated, and he only visits gladiators that might be a challenge for him’, Luis follows up with ‘which you should take as a compliment, meaning he thinks you could someday become a worthy foe’, the man in the wolves helmet starts to laugh, ‘worthy foe? He will break us all in half within seconds, of course, it will take the longest to take me out, but you two make no chance against him’, Rick can not help but throw some words back at him, ‘did you not just lay on the ground by an old man a few minutes ago?’.

The man with the wolf helmet was about to reply as the door behind him once again swings open, ‘Ahh you two are talking already, be nice to each other, no fighting allowed except inside the arena, or you will go into the hole, also you two will be roommates from now on, so you better get to know each other since you will be stuck with each other’.

Both Rick and the man with the wolves helmet look at each other, clearly they could not stand each other since the fight they had in the arena, as well as the arguments they just made against each other while being interrupted the whole time.

‘Also, Luis the king has requested you to go to him immediately’, Luis looks back at him and back at Rick before nodding, he walks out of the room, the guard following right behind him, as the door slams shut once again, both Rick and the man with the wolves helmet sit in pure silence for a couple of minutes before he unexpectedly said, ‘Since we are stuck with each other, my name is Jacob’.
