The target of the two was Pop, who was currently panting for huge amounts of air.

Pop raised his Staff and muttered an incantation while his hand performed numerous hand seals at the blink of an eye.

“This is my version of Aries Kiki’s Crystal Wall!” [Pop]

Both Flazzard and Zaboera were caught off guard from the sudden reflect spell. They are now the ones facing the blunt of their ultimate attacks.

Pop took the opportunity to flee an reunite with Maam, who was engaged in a bitter fight against Mew, Niobe and Zelos.

“Refractor Ultimate Combo, Palm Strikes!!”

Mew, Niobe and Zelos were not in a good shape either, but they were successful in receiving Maam’s attacks. Two of them would take turns in receiving Maam’s attacks, while the other one will counterattack immediately. Their Surplices have been badly damaged as Mew broke his arms upon receiving the Refractor Fist, while Niobe had his left shoulder dislocated after receiving the Refractor Knee and Ultimate Combo. Zelos can be seen with his head buried into the ground after being hit by the Refractor Round House Kick.

“Don’t worry, I’ll save you Maam!” [Pop]

Although Pop casted strong spells, the mana he consumed was far lesser when compared to his peak state. He casted the spells not for the sake of injuring the opponents, but to making them think that he still can dish out such strong spells in succession. But in truth, he only casted Mera and Raidein, which couldn’t even scratch the Surplices of Raimi and Cube.

Souma was also busy trying to ward off huge numbers of the Undead trying to swarm Leona, who was busy healing Kuro, Dai and Hyunckel and Ryuho, who was being healed by Sapphire’s Saint Heal.

Souma was fighting out of sheer instinct and he would have lost consciousness if not for Leona occasionally assisting him with some healing and regeneration spells. Despite relying on his Yang energy to ward off the undead, the continuous fighting is already taking a huge toll on the body of the Lionnet Bronze Saint, despite awakening to the peak of 7th Sense during the course of the battles.

“Yuna and Haruto, help evacuate the survivors.” [Koga]

Without fear nor hesitation, Koga and Eden made their way towards the forefront of the battlefield in order to assist Pop and Maam. Yuna and Haruto immediately went to support Souma of his burden of protecting the others.

Yuna and Haruto met the undead with their fiercest attacks too. Souma collapsed on the ground out of sheer exhaustion, but he made it towards Leona before passing out.

Battered and exhausted, Leona also collapsed after doing everything she could in casting her healing and regeneration spells.

“In another 50 breaths, all of the Undead will be annihilated!” [Koga]

“Burn your cosmos to the limit!” [Koga!]

Eden, Haruto and Yuna all said in unison “Ignite! Our Cosmos!”

Numerous notifications rang on the minds of the 4.

Zaboera, sensing the strong spell being channelled by Genya, Julius and Yoko, opted to flee with Flazzard, Mew, Niobe and Zelos.

“We cannot fall here!”

“Lord Hades and Lord Vearn will be very disappointed with our failure.”

“But we can still redeem ourselves in the next battle!”

Koga, Haruto, Eden and Yuna continued to deal with the Undead army while waiting for the ultimate spells to be released. After a dozen more breaths, Genya, Julius and Yoko released their prior prepared spells.

“With the spirit and guidance of Sypha, the Ancestor of the Belnaldes!”

“I summon the Holy Frost Storm!”

“Spell Combo, Belmont and Belnaldes Ultimate Holy Typhoon!”

The Holy Typhoon Spell of Julius and Yoko eradicated all of the Undead, as these creatures cannot escape the rain, hail and wind brought forth by the storm. Genya’s Soul Steal attack made sure that the souls of the Undead are obliterated and cannot be used again by Soma when the latter summons more undead. The same is the case for Vearn, who can also summon undead servants.

Sapphire could be seen tending to Leona, Kuro, Hyunckel, Souma and Dai using her simple healing spells. Koga led his division to assist the wounded, while Julius led some Imperial Knights to assist in taking care of the bodies of the fallen. The Main Army from the combination of the Vampire Hunters, World Heroes, Adventurers, Saints, Forces of the Church and Steel Saints were busy with the reconstruction and fortification efforts around the Imperial Castle.

“In the name of my Mother, I swear that I will fight for the souls of all those who gave up their lives in order to pave the way for this battle!” [Genya]
