Chapter 8

-"ak..."

-"w..ke u.."

"Hmhhh...?"

-"Wake up Ghalib."

" *ihales* "

" hm... Is.. i..t.."

"..that time already mom...?"

-"Yes, now wake up for school."

"Mom... I luv u..."

Mom: "Yes yes I know, now wake up and get ready for school."

And so I did.

After dressing up in uniform, eating breakfast and all that stuff, I went out of the door and started my journey to school.

...

Alright.

I am here finally..

at my school.

It was called "The Mayyar Academy".

In size, It was big enough to accommodate 3 Sports grounds, 3 buildings for all the classrooms, a swings area, a Yard, staffroom etc and a Canteen area.

Ofcourse it had toilet rooms for students too.

The Front Gate had a banner attached to it with the name:

"The Mayyar Academy"

Enter the gate, there was a road leading to a building made up of 3 buildings.

A few 10-15 foots before the entrance to the main building, the road splits up into left and right where on the left, It is the parking area for bikes or bicycles for boys and teachers and on the right it is for girls.

The area on sides of roads were filled with grass and benches. Meaning if you wanted to rather sit in somewhere other than the cafe, you could here.

Plus it was a very good place to just laid and sleep.

Then the left and right roads circle around the main building meeting at the Cafe/Canteen that is in position after the main building.

The Cafe is big, I mean VERY Big in terms of space. You can sit wherever and do whatever you want. It was placed at a very good spot too since you could see all the 3 sports grounds here.

Oh right, in front of the cafe was HUGE ground which was divided into 3 parts for 3 dfifferent games:

-Cricket

-Volleyball

-FootBall

The School Administrators did say they would be adding new sports grounds and indoor rooms for games on the big empty plot.

The school was just built after all.

Anyways.

Today is that one day where coming to school is necessary.

After all, today we are going to hunt awakened people.

Oh, isn't that Ryan?

"Hey Ryan."

Ryan: "Heyo, How are you?"

"Fine, anything wrong with you?"

Ryan: "Nope I don't think so."

Haji: "Hi guys!"

"Oh hi man."

Ryan: "Hi man."

"You feeling good?"

Haji: "Yeh, I feel good. What about you guys?"

"I feel good too."

Ryan: "Same here."

"Ok so, I think as usual, Adeel will come late. So rather than waiting for him we should start looking for awakened people."

Everyone nodded and went to search.

I took half of the classrooms.

Haji took the other half.

While Ryan took everything related to playgrounds where we play our games or eat breakfast.

The boys and girls classrooms were divided. Meaning boys were in classes where there were only boys and girls were in classes where there were only girls.

We decided not to search in our class because in the end we were gonna go to our class to study.

It was time for assembly and stuff so we rushed back to our classes.

"Assalam-u-alaikum! Teacher!" The whole class said together.

Again, this was a tradition.

We were finally back in class and Adeel was here too.

We did the greetings and all and the class started.

"So, did you find any awakened?" I asked Ryan.

Ryan: "Yeah I did but they all tried to run away because they were scared I was an agent from an organization that was trying to experiment on them lol."

"F, that's what happened to me too. what about you Haji?" I asked Haji.

Haji: "Same here... what about you?"

"I also found some of them too. Some of them listened and some of them didn't for the same reason as you guys."

Adeel: "Still it is good news that we found a lot of awakened people.."

Ryan: "A lot of? nononono, all of the people around the age 14-16 I found were awakened."

"Oh yeah, it was the same with me as well."

Haji: "Yeh, I was kinda surprised that our speculations were this accurate."

Adeel: "..."

Haji: "..What?"

Adeel: "Nothing. I was just thinking that by the reaction they gave to you guys, most of the people are gonna leave this school to escape away. Like they are gonna escape thinking you are gonna catch them if they don't. So I think we should group all awakened and inform them as soon as possible."

"True.. At most I think we have 3 days to do everything or else everyone is gonna leave."

Adeel: "Yes, but for now, after this class, we should group our class together and inform them. If they do understand we are gonna have more people on our side for help and more people will believe us."

"True.."

Haji: "Alright, since we are done planning, we should actually study a bit. Today's topic is kinda important."

Ryan: "Interesting..."

Haji: "..What? Why do you keep looking at me like that?"

Ryan: "Nono I meant the topic today was interesting."

Haji: "Alright.. I will believe ya."

"Heh." I chuckled.

Haji: "What the heck is wrong with you guys..?"

"Nothing." I scoffed.

Well today's topic was genuinely interesting..

It was about how and where the territories in our continent are.

The world has 4 continents.

Combine their landmass together, they are bigger than most Earth's Cousin Planets.

The Continent I live in is The Sukoon Continent.

The other 3 are:

The Aish Continent

The Khoob Continent

The Mizar Continent.

Each Continent has 7 Countries.

Dunno how but it is what it is.

Hmmm.... If we have 4 Continents then... every Malik governs a continents worth of area.

Does that mean Akram and Wahab were from an entirely different continent?

Welp, that is for another time.

For now...

"EVERYONE!!! LISTEN!!" I shouted.

The class was over and everyone was just demonstrating their true nature.

Nothing new, just the usual.

Our class was calm when it came to dealing with your classmates or schoolmates.

There was no particular bullying or stuff like people say or if something which could be labeled as bullying was done, either the whole class would put an end to it together or someone be it a loner or someone popular or someone strong do it.

So, when I shouted, my classmates looked at me either annoyed or just thinking if there was something important.

If there was something important, they would listen to me and just be done with it or if it was something funny or stupid, they would insult in a friendly way and laugh it off.

Now if I want to catch the attention of awakened people without non-awakened noticing anything weird and thinking of it as a joke, I have to use a code word.

We don't want the non-awakened to know, do we?

Thankfully I already decided with my friends what I was supposed gonna say.

"I am trying to umm.. go into... poetry so..." I said in a nervous tone.

Had to talk and build things up like this so the non-awakened actually think I was tryna do cool verse.

"Here is my first ever verse." I continued.

Slowly, Adeel, Haji and Ryan were closing the door and windows of the classroom.

This was so if someone panicked we had enough time to explain it to them.

"One day I woke up, to see everything dark

Feared of its mysteriousness, I went to the park

Not finding anything out, I feared

Feared those who knew and pity those who didn't"

"Well, right now it doesn't make sense at all but I will just think more verses and one day, it will.." I said as casually as possible.

But...

It seemed that my words didn't reach them..

After all, the whole class became quiet and was in deep thought.

At that reaction, we knew.

we knew that all of our classmates, were awakened people.

So without wasting any time, I said:

"Well this is a surprise, didn't think that everyone would be an awakened.."

if before there were sounds of breaths, now, it was dead silent.

-"Are you the on-"

"No, Listen. Right here, right now, me, Adeel, Haji, and Ryan are probably the people with most information about what you are going through. Now just relax and listen with your full attention on me. If you don't hear what I say or don't understand something just ask me right away."

And so, we explained everything to the class.

...

"Alright, now you guys understood and co-operated really easily but the main problem is how we group the other school-mates who are awakened. Since we have more people with us now, I want to start grouping anyone we find who is awakened. I have 2 options. Either we go together as a class and then explain, or we just tell our distant friends in another class about it and then just let the info spread."

-"Hmm.... Probably together I think. That way, more people will believe us and if there is someone who still isn't informed, will be informed by other people."

-"Yeah I agree with that."

-"Yeah.."

Slowly everyone agreed and we came to a conclusion.

"Alright next is.. how do we inform the girls?"

Ryan: "First, we should inform every guy. That way if someone is friend with a girl in our school they would inform them."

-"Alright, I think we should start the operation." Said someone from the crowd.

-"Yup, Les go!"

And so we did.
