《A Different Kind of Hero (-)》Chapter 19: Demon Country Ready, Check

~Lorne~
Nothing special happened in the morning when I woke up. I just lazed around and ate breakfast with Morgan. After making ourselves comfortable, we got ready and teleported to the guild.
Tammy jumped when we arrived, but that was to be expected. Unfortunately it wasn't too funny anymore.
"I need to get used to you guys doing that..." (Tammy)
She quietly mumbled to herself before continuing.
"...Anyway, I have your cards here." (Tammy)
After saying so, she handed both of us our cards. It held our names, rank, guild allocation, level, and a few other things that didn't matter much. I was concerned about the level, but upon further inspection it was changed to level 56. (Morgan is now SSS. Complications in rankings happened.)
"Lorne, are you sure you want to be an A adventurer? I mean, you could totally pull off as an SS or SSS with the new transformation. Honestly, the only reason I am saying this now is because of the transformation." (Tammy)
She definitely had a point.. I mean, I didn't want to get too well known because the Humans had my description. They would almost instantly be able to know where I was. If I could change into a human, then there should be little trouble. Besides, as a Human SSS I could get close to the heroes.
"Is there a way to change it?"
"Of course, it just takes time for the cards to be made. The information can update instantly." (Tammy)
I thought for a few seconds before nodding.
"Change my rank to SSS and raise everything respectively. Also, make my name Ben."
She nodded and took the card back, then came back a minute later handing it back to me.
"Put a drop of blood on it and it will bind to you." (Tammy)
Me and Morgan both did this. The card glowed and changed color. It went from a blank white to a black with golden writing on it. The font was a beautiful cursive, and it was moderately easy to read.
After examining the slate, Tammy spoke up.
"Since it's bound, just think [Appear] or [Disappear] in your mind, and think of the card." (Tammy)
Sure enough, as me and Morgan tried this out it seemed to work. It would disappear, and when it reappeared it came back as a physical object. Something I could give to others.
"Thanks Tammy. I think me and Lorne should go to the capital right about now and check on the Demon King." (Morgan)

Tammy smiled and waved as both me and Morgan teleported away.
We wound up somewhere familiar. It was the castle's throne room. It was the same large and decorated room as before. It looks like it was also cleaned up from the fight me and the last demon king had.
*Shink*
I turned to look, and there were several soldiers pointing their spears at me with surprised faces. The man who sat on the throne was also surprised. He seemed to have been previously talking with the men in front of him.
I was about to speak up, but I noticed that the soldiers began to shake. Their spears went up and down in more and more irregular positions.
All of the 'warriors' backed up to get as much distance away from me as possible. Seeing that this wasn't going to go well if this kept up, I spoke.
"Hello Demon King. My name is Lorne. Currently, me and the guild master of Gorghen have gotten together to take down the humans, however we need a third party. Specifically, you."
I smiled quite maliciously and heard the saliva jumping down the throats of the several guards. The demon king seemed to be confused and uncomfortable.
"Well, hello. Uh.. I am Abaddon, the current Demon King. It's a pleasure to meet you Lorne, and...?" (Abaddon)
"Morgan"
"Morgan! Well, should we go and discuss the situation?" (Abaddon)
The current demon king honestly seemed suitable as a leader. I was going to announce that I wouldn't kill the guy if he was to my liking to calm the guards down somewhat, but that would have made the demon king aware and he would have behaved better than if he were ignorant on the matter.
"If you may."
I gestured for him to show us the way, and he got off his throne and we began to walk behind to a conference room of sorts. He stopped by the door and had us go in first, then followed by shutting the door.
"So, would you two mind explaining everything to me?" (Abaddon)
I smiled, impressed by his personality and began to speak.
"To put it simply, I am one of the 'Heroes'."
He was about to get into a battle pose, but I interrupted him.
"However... some events happened and I turned to resent the humans. Monalee had reincarnated me of sorts and bestowed a newfound power unto me. I grew stronger, and more complicated things happened. This involves slowly hating life, but that is not important for now."

Abaddon was sitting at this point, and as were Morgan and I.
"I have already gotten together with Tammy, the guild master of the Gorghen Adventurers' Guild, and she is on board. She is willing to provide battle support, however the main force needed is your army. I could have gone in there and killed them all, but not only is that not fun, but Monalee tasked me with having you guys take control. I can only imagine doing so somewhat peacefully. If I killed all the humans, you guys would have fell into panic and rushed to the human lands, slaughtering each other over wealth."
There were a few moments of silence. He was definitely agreeing with my actions, knowing full well how chaotic it would have been if a whole country just outright disappeared.
"So, I am here to get you to join us. What do you say?"
A few more moments of silence before he spoke up.
"As much as I wish to end the humans' rule, others have tried before, gathering the whole country together. I doubt that even if I joined we would be able to do much to the humans. Especially now that they have the heroes summoned. It's only a matter of time before we lose." (Abaddon)
With a sullen expression, he voiced his thoughts. It made total sense, but he didn't know about me.
"I think you are forgetting something. When I said that I could kill all the humans alone, I meant it."
His eyes widened at this.
"Who do you think killed the last demon lord? Mwahahaha!"
I began laughing what I believed to be an evil laugh and Abaddon's face darkened.
"Don't worry though, I like you. As long as you cooperate we won't have trouble. So, what do you say?"
"Do I have a choice?" (Abaddon)
"Nope."
"..." (Abaddon)
"..."
"Ok." (Abaddon)
"Great!"
With that, we got up and shook hands. I told him how things should be going. Everything would have to be gotten ready smoothly and quietly. Position most of the troops to the front at first, and they won't suspect too much. This, however, is getting them ready to leave through the gates and head to war.
We also talked and discussed how the war would go, giving each other battle strategies. I mostly told him of strategies from Earth, and judging by his reaction it seems that they weren't invented yet.
Once the time is right, I would come back to Abaddon and tell him to start the war. He would publicly announce it, and his soldiers would move forward.
This, however, shouldn't happen for a while.
We said goodbye, and I was kinda disappointed I didn't get to kill the guy for some reason, but I was glad that I didn't waste my time. I teleported back to the guild and told Tammy that things were running smoothly. I explained some things to her, and that she would have to get ready as well.
With that, I was pretty much done in demon country. I had gotten the guild and the king to work together, and I would lead everyone to victory.
Now I would just need to go to the Human country and mess around. Hopefully I'd be able to join a group of theirs and win their trust.
Me and Morgan both teleported back to the inn and we walked in, going upstairs, and I spoke.
"Tomorrow we will be going back to the human country. We really only needed to do a few things here, but we'll be with the heroes for a while. It'll take long because we'll have to earn their trust. We'll also have to travel normally, and since I'll be in human for I'll be fine. You, however, will need a change."
She looked at me confused, and I simply put my hand up and imagined using [Transformation] on her.
Skill UpgradedTransformation > Transmutation: Alter the appearance and properties of anything this skill is used on. Applies to: Material and Organisms. Mp used depends on the change. (10/10)
Morgan began to glow white, seemingly disappearing in the light and then it calmed down. She went from a demon to a human. Her appearance was with a red-ish orange hair, with orange eyes. Pink lips and a moderate figure. Nothing too rounded, but definitely feminine. Her hair reached down her back to the middle of it. Long, but not ridiculous.
She looked at herself and was surprised. She spun a bit and admired herself at all angles, and I appraised her as well.
I talked to her a bit more about what we would be doing tomorrow, and how we would need to be humans for a while while we won the heroes' trust, but she seemed to accept everything easily.
We went to bed and awaited the next day in which we would leave demon country and get the attention of the heroes. Possibly 'accidentally'.
-------------
Open to suggestions for a better name than 'Transmutation'. It works, but there might be something better.
