《A Different Kind of Hero (-)》Chapter 18: Patience

~Lorne~
After scaring Tammy half to death we both told her that the Basilisk was dead. We said nothing about the adventurers since it was unnecessary.. We were paid a total of 150 gold, and that would last us the rest of our stay. Since things would only continue to stay like this for a few weeks, we didn't need to save up to live calm lives. War was coming.
It had been a day since Tammy told us that they would get the cards ready, and the illusions. Once I got my card, it would allow me to enter the human cities. That was my main plan.
After I get the illusion potion I would go to the human cities and secretly wreck havoc. You know, just the normal things like killing ministers and kings, a hero here and there.
I don't plan to confront them for a while, so I'll focus on degrading their government first.
Just as we were about to leave the guild to go to the inn we were staying at Tammy stopped us. I didn't know why at first, but she told me that she had asked a friend of hers and they knew the location of an alchemist that had the potions.
The man was in the demon capital near the southern side. He was highly regarded and if we asked anyone we should be able to get directions because of how famous he was.
I thanked her, and I set off to teleport to the city with Morgan.
We disappeared in the guild room and reappeared in the capital. I teleported us in an alley, so nobody really saw us. We walked out and made our way to find a pedestrian. There didn't appear to be anyone on the rode we arrived, so we moved up one.

The man knew exactly what we were talking about, and surprisingly enough he was located on the road we teleported. We headed back and saw the sign to his shop. We walked in and I asked for the illusion potion. Morgan was looking around while I was talking to him.
The man's name was Edmond, and he supposedly had some in the back. They were 10 gold each. Very expensive. I managed to haggle down the price to 7 gold and 50 silver. I'm not the best haggler, but I managed.
I walked out of the shop, and then turned into an alley with Morgan. I teleported to the guild, scaring Tammy once again, but not nearly as much as the initial time. Mostly because she knew I could do that now.
I asked her how to use it, and she just said to drink it and think of what you want to hide. She also commented on how high quality the potion was.
It seemed simple enough, and I drank it. I thought of removing all but 2 of my horns, and when I asked Tammy and Morgan if it worked they nodded their heads no.
I was disappointed, but I didn't let it get me down. I tried something that I should have tried in the beginning.
Skill LearnedTransformation: Change your appearance to your will. Costs 300 mp every 30 minutes. (10/10)
I secretly cursed at myself for being an idiot, then transformed.
I went from a gray-skinned, red-tattood, 5 horned, tailed demon to a handsome black haired, white skinned human with grayish eyes. My height remained the same, and I loved my appearance. Not because I was a human, but because this opened up so many possibilities.
Morgan and Tammy were surprised by this, and I simply laughed. I now would have so much more fun messing with the heroes.

I stretched out my body and examined it, making sure everything was alright. I took out my Scythe of Death and looked for any changes - which there were none - then put it away. Tammy was surprised at seeing it, but Morgan just put her finger to her lips telling her to keep quiet. It seemed to work.
I didn't consider anyone here my enemy, so they didn't feel the fear, and just in case I also had the radius as small as I could make it.
After admiring myself, I asked her when the cards would be ready. She said they would be done tomorrow morning and to go see her then.
This worked out. I would finish today, then come here tomorrow morning. I'd get the cards, then head to the Demon king and check out how he is. Do my thing, then go to the human kingdom as an adventurer. I'd slip in, then have some fun.
I told Tammy that we would be back tomorrow, untransformed, and I teleported out with Morgan before she could say anything.
I teleported us near the inn, and we walked in. We went to our room and I tested the transformation ability a bit more. I could turn into basically anything I wanted as long as I knew what it looked like. The three forms I would use would be my normal one, my human one, and a form I made that only gets rid of 3 horns and keeps the two in front.
Me and Morgan laid down, had sex, and Morgan passed out from the exertion. I laid down next to her, and it was pretty late by the time we were done.
I stared at the ceiling.
Master...
I already know what you plan to ask, Lorne... And you will understand in due time. It will be rough, but you'll know once you reach level 100.
Yes master, but...
I can't help you with this. Even gods have rules.
I was very disappointed with that. 'Even gods have rules', huh? That means that there are other gods, or stronger gods.
The most interesting thing that I came across though was that I would find out when I reached level 100. I would most likely reach 100 after I kill the heroes, so in a week or two. I shouldn't stress over it, but I am very curious as to what was going on with me.
The reason for my mental change and bloodlust. Or... soul-lust... That black mass that appeared.. Everything.
For now, I'll sleep. The next day will arrive. I'll do as I must, and we'll see how things go.
---------------------
Sorry for the short chapter. I basically wanted to get this part over with quickly since there wasn't much I could talk about, but expect the normal length for the next many chapters.

Feeling compelled, he sets out to journey to the northern Sogea and its infamous Western Izmittor mountain range, a natural stronghold of sky tearing mountains and deep canyons. Bloody Hell
Alan Maxwell has one exceptional talent. He can read peoples body language and micro expressions so well that, in many cases it's not hard for him to fake being psychic. When a foreign agency decides that said talent would make him an exceptional spy, events quickly begin to spiral out of control. With enemies on all sides, and friends that will as soon kill each other as his enemies, Alan will have to put his skills to the test in the ultimate game of cat and mouse. ===I came up with this story in response to a question. I once asked someone why there weren't really any Yandere harems. I realize that the answer to that is 'everyone dies' but thats boring so... here we are. A story I came up with explicitly as an excuse to create a harem entirely out of obsessive psychopathic axe murderers. Or in other words - "What happens to Bond girls when they disappear?"As a warning, there are sex scenes. Its tagged. I'll leave an authors note at the top of any chapter that has them if you'd prefer to skip it.
