Hopping in the car the first thing that caught Tom's eye was a bag of nails hanging off the rear view mirror.

Noticing Tom's awkward steer, Sam explained.

"This isn't Hugo's car its his mum's. I think that things for keeping the smell out or something."

Creasing his brows, Hugo turned facing everyone at the back.

"No joking about my ma's car, unless you want to walk."

Seeing everyone shut up, Hugo kept on his tough look, straightening his posture a little bit more. As a trio Deano and Sam would usually gang up on him, but now with two new additions to the group he decided to make sure the new kids knew their place. Unfortunately, his act didn't last long.

Deano, unfazed by the situation grabbed the bag of nails throwing them out the window.

"There problem solved, no more granny wagon."

Sighing Deano continued. "And you wonder why your still a virgin, fatty Hughie."

Hugo felt like refuting Deano for making him look uncool, but in the end he just giggled along.

Drumming his fingers on the glove box Deano turned his head looking towards Hugo.

"Why haven't you started the car yet ?"

"I ain't driving around without a place to go, especially if nobody's paying for petrol."Hugo replied.

Turning around Deano grinned at the lot at the back, raising his eyebrows and rubbing his fingers together, gesturing for cash.

Sam knowing that Leo wouldn't put in any money gave Deano his 50 dollar note.

"That's for liquor and gas." Swiping the cash Deano couldn't help but smile.

Turning back Deano threw the note at Hugo.

"Here, put ten in and then we can go to Luca's."

During the drive they stopped at a petrol station and Hugo pumped up 10 dollars worth of petrol.

While on the way to Luca's, Deano put a cassette tape into the radio that had a auxiliary cord attached within it.

Plugging in his phone he started blasting songs that said more profanity words than what Tom heard Sam say in a day.

At first the song just sounded like someone yelling at you with a drum beat in the background but overtime Tom grew to like it.

Tom couldn't help but notice, during the trip that Leo hardly talked and when he did it would only be a grunt or a nod.

hm, he did go out of his way to make sure I had a good time today, although that was probably because of my actions last night. Ah, I guess I will just have to consider a way to make it up to him tonight.

While in thought the car made a sudden stop. Parking out side of Luca's house you could get a clear view. The wooden white house looked somewhat old and dilapidated.

Some of the white paint was chipped off at parts of the building.

The reclining slant of aluminum roofing faced towards the street reflecting the sunlight.

Every house looked the same in every way but the salmon colored roof made this one more noticeable.

Two concrete steps led to a shrewd narrow doorway.

The wooden framing of the windows confirmed that the building didn't have double glazing, which makes it a lot colder during the winter.

A gravel driveway carried on around the house.

The front yard looked like it needed to be mowed but not to the extent that it was overgrown. Toys were placed all around the yard, a rusted bike laid upon a blowup pool that had slimy green water inside of it.

The short white fence with a arrow point had been knocked over and with the amount of grass grown over it looked like it was there for awhile.

Hearing the engine of the car turn off, Deano mentioned to everyone that he was just gunna take a second. Exiting the car he jogged to the front door. After knocking on the door and waiting for awhile, a lady opened the door holding a toddler in her arms. Scowling at Deano she soon yelled out to Luca. Seeing Luca, he didn't look like Sam or Deano, his build was large but lean at the same time and his olive skin didn't match his, well maintained brown beard. After a brief conversation the duo walked around the house. Not to long a maroon van reversed out of the gravel driveway. Beeping the horn two times it drove off down the road.

While waiting everyone complained about the heat. Bitching, Sam complained about the car not having air conditioning, mentioned its leather interior attracting the sun and more. Leo seemed immune to his nagging but to Tom and Hugo it felt like time slowed down because of it.

Finally seeing the van everyone cheered up instantly except Leo. Deano hopped out of the van on the street before the van drove up to the driveway. He held two boxes and he had a wide grin on his face that looked genuine for once.

When he hopped in the car he gave a box to Sam.

"I got a box of beer for me and bourbon cans for you guys, just ask me if you want a beer."

Looking up at the sky he continued. "Anyone got the time?"

With a quick glance at his phone Sam answered. "Close to six thirty."

Pondering, Deano looked towards Hugo. "To early?"

Seeing Hugo's nod, Deano continued. "We can pre drink at Harpel Park, it's around the corner."

Reaching the park, everyone got out and had a stretch. Sam, Leo and Tom had drunk a can at this point while Deano downed bottles of beers continuously.

Hugo wasn't drinking because he was driving, but Tom also noticed that it didn't seem like he wanted to drink.

When Tom took his first taste of the drink he was impressed, the carbonated mix brought out the good fizz and he instantly felt a warmth buildup in his body.

Tom did a lot of drinking in his first life and he wasn't sure if that experience would make him handle his drinking capability up to this present time.

Since it was starting to get dark he was worried for Leo but sticking close enough was all he could really do. Sam was taking a different approach by emptying cans down his throat with Leo to see, who had the bigger balls. Seeing the playground at the park Tom decided to do his workout, being in a tipsy state he gradually started feeling like he was on top of the world.

Seeing Tom's actions everyone started joining in except Hugo. The work out idea was to do one lap around the park but it ended up being a race between one another. Sam enthusiastically made the race rules. First, since Hugo was idle he was designated to be the one to count down. Second, was to run to the end of the park and back. And third, was to scull a can or bottle when you got back.

Forming a line everyone got ready, Tom spent one third of his past life running so he knew he had this in the bag. Getting in the zone he heard Hugo counting down.

"Three. Two. One. Go!" Hearing that queue Tom kicked off the left foot, leaning slightly forward he tried striding as far and quickly as possible. Swinging his arms and tilting head upwards he heard the air whoosh past himself. Relaxing his body his pace steadied, he could hear the laughter of the others.

Leo came first but he cheated turning around half way through. Deano came second, but he actually was the real winner being meters ahead of both Tom and Sam. Luckily, Tom was third but only because Sam bursted out coughing near the end. Everyone was gasping for air, Smiling, laughing and just drunk enough to be having a good time. Carrying on their antics they done push up, pull up and sit up competitions. Deano won most of them and Leo came second for everything but pull ups. Sam and Tom always battled for last place and Tom awkwardly lost most of the time.

Struggling it took awhile for Sam to visualize the time on his phone.

"Guys it's ten to eight we should head over now."
