《The Sudden Rise of the Magic Continent》Chapters 0 and 0.5: Prologue

“Hey, Aki, are you still up?” My mother walks in as I'm on my computer
“Oh yeah, I think I might go to bed soon, sorry,” I say as I don't look away from my computer
“Okay, don't overdo it” She then walks out, and I continue as I was.
So, I'm currently trying to find some pre-made scripts for some games I want to make for those of you that don't know. Just imagine magic in a world like ours, sadly it can't happen in real life, so I'm hoping to turn it into a game.
Now I know, it seems boring right? I could just as easily make a game about a real magic world and make it easier on myself, but who doesn't love a challenge?
I continue looking online as I find a link to a website that I've never heard of. So strange it made me say “Strange” out loud.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
???????????????????????????Put the code in your program to make it come to life??????????????????????????????????
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Hmm, I suppose I can try it in a new project? Not like it would hurt or steal that if it happens to be a virus.
Have you heard of the phrase famous last words? Well, think of that like famous best words because I've never seen anything so cool like this before. As soon as I coded it in and pressed run, a big black status screen appeared in front of my face. Do you know what this means? I can make it real!!
Now how do I start? Should I customise myself? What if I make a whole new continent full of magic and fantasy races and all that cool stuff? Humans are boring, so maybe I can make it, so they can't come to the continent? Also, if you look at history, humans are big on colonisation and stuff... Yeah, let's make it impossible for them!! The storms surrounding... What should the name of the place be? Gloranela!! For the glory of the magic and the fact that my continent even exists out of nowhere. Yes, the storms surrounding it will be more powerful than anything the humans can make.

Maybe I should start coding my body and stuff. Let's make a system so that I can code it all without my computer. Now, if I do this and maybe this... maybe I can... Yes!!! It worked.
My status screen updated, and now it has buttons and even a picture of myself. Let's create outfits and perhaps even different forms, so different fantasy forms and stuff maybe like monsters and slimes. I can't wait.
Now, how should I start on the rest?
So as with every fantastic game, I should be able to create my character, but I should make sure that I understand how this works and go over everything I can do and want...
Suppose we consider the world a game in itself created by the universe. I can maybe think of myself as an editor to this game, like the primary system was already made for me, and now I can change what I want for my likes.
Ooh, I'm over here feeling so giddy. I shouldn't change so much that the foundation of the universe is destroyed. I should only add code and not delete or switch anything.
So if I use this to set up what will live on this continent, like setting up advanced AI as NPCs, I can create the different races and species. After that, I can set up my map, and there, my friends is the creation of Gloranela. Now all that's left is to set up the anti-human defences, maybe a large circle of dangerous storms around Gloranela with four massive guardians of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
These guardians will have a selection of abilities strong enough to defend against anything that could be dangerous to the inhabitants of Gloranela.
The Guardians will be named after their respective elements in Latin because Latin is cool. The Fire guardian will be named Ignis, the Water guardian will be Aqua, the Earth guardian will be Terra, and the Wind guardian will be named Ventus.

Their abilities will be based on what element they are based on. Maybe I should make a party system and some teleportation, the guardians may be mighty, but I don't know what secret stuff governments may have as weapons if I consider the fact that there might be a balance to the universe, I don't want to be too powerful, at least not given entirely by coding. I should make a system where it's easy to build on my power. I can create stuff even without using the status screen.. maybe if every ten years there's an orb that appears in someplace random on the continent that gives a wish after giving it some valuables and dropping a drop of blood, knows who to provide the wish to.
There will be different Magic Energy types; space and time are two of the most powerful. Holy, Unholy, and Electricity are different from what they might sound like. I don't want to make any deities that may learn how to change the system to have my ideal system, and it doesn't spread too far from what I want it to be. Unholy is a negative affliction type, and Holy is the exact opposite. A specific race can only learn electricity, and it means they can manipulate technology simply by willing it. There are also the four main elements of which the guardians are made of. Maybe more can be made if someone uses the orbs to will those into existence. But all that is for another day when it comes, no need for it all to be done now and by me.
There will be a possibility for places full of Magic Energy to make solidified crystals of it. Those can store the Magic Energy and be taken to use for either people who can't use ambient Magic Energy very well or those who are in a low Magic Energy place.
Now all that is left for me is entering the continent and making sure that it all works correctly.
After this, let's erase my memories of all except electronics, coding, and some knowledge to help me along the line. That's why I should...

The Core: The First Guest (Book 1 of 3)
Book two starts here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/46417/the-core-the-hive-daughter-book-2-of-3 --- Kevin was just a normal 10 year old kid until he saw a woman vanish right before his eyes. This made Kevin just a little bit different. He paid more attention to people now. Little did he know that this little difference would kill him the next time he encountered another alien about to return home. It would tear him apart, cell by cell, until he was unmade. His mind being transported away. So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn’t age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth’s hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science. --- Progress update: Progress update: COMPLETE Stories:✦The Core: The First Guest (The Core: Book 1 of 3) ✦The Core: The Hive Daughter (The Core: Book 2 of 3) The Core: The Hive Daughter (Book 2 of 3) | Royal Road Stories in PROGRESS:✦The Core: The Dark Enemy (The Core: Book 3 of 3)PROJECTED Stories and Series: ★The Radiative Zone Series: The Girl with Powers (3 book series) ✶The Convective Zone Series: Into the Game (3 book series) This series is a work in progress. 8 112Falling from Earth
He won. He defeated Fate. He took his life into his own hands, the only way he knew how. He killed himself. ......................... He cheated. Fate cheated too. He didnt die. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a amateur writer. English is my first language. I appreciate it when people point out grammar issues. I also appreciate constructive critiques. I'm writing this mostly because I've read so many novels on here that i feel that I should give back to the community. Will be at least a chapter a week. Every Friday. I keep a buffer of 3 chapters, so if i get on a roll and write more chapters, there will be more updates. My chapters will be at least 3000 words, prologue excluded. I'm shooting for more like 6000 words a chapter, mostly because i never like how small the chapters are in most novels on here. Not enough MEAT. Oh and comments that touch my heart get me excited to write. Just figured that out.
8 132Lost in Acleirea

(Uploading schedule is whenever I have time and will try to upload everyday)
8 154Door 42
A first person account of an unplanned trip to a secret moon base, where I make new and interesting friends, reopen the moon's most amazing backalley bar, and rediscover the long forgotten secrets of lunar land speed racing and the moon's first hot rod club... and then some. Soon to be a campy, direct to DVD B-movie featuring Bruce Campbell as "Al"! (No, not really... but it sounds good in my head.) I write a better story than a synopsis, I promise.
